Rating: Summary: A TRUE TALE OF WOE Review: The Lemony Snicket books are by far the coolest and most imaginative things I've read in a bit. They are a bit dark and strange, which is odd for a children's book. However, they are great for adults. I easily read each book in a day and am in suspense waiting for the next. You will wish and hope and dream the Baudelaire Orphans will escape from the evil Count Olaf. But, as Lemony Snicket is careful to remind you, don't expect a truly happy ending. These books are inexpensive and worth every penny.
Rating: Summary: great book for kids! Review: this is a great book for kids who like reading and don't mind being tired every day at school because they stay up almost all night reading such a good book. I recommend reading all the books in order or else it doesn't make much sense. this book is about three orphans,Sunny,Kluas, and violet. they meet two "triplets" and they become good friends.read it to learn more about it.-Michael-
Rating: Summary: The Austere Academy-Why Would you want to read this? Review: The Austere Academy is woeful, tragic, and evil(this pertains to COUNT OLAF). On a better note, it also one of my most favorite books ever. It's hilarity goes from having Carmilita Spats as an enemy to having the chant "Cakesniffing Orphans in The Orphan Shack!" sung to them almost everywhere they go. but, don't foget that the Violet, Klause, and Sunny meet up with two extremely nice children, who stumble upon a dreadful secret about Count Olaf, and get captured. So, if you are looking for a cheerful book, look elswhere, and don't forget the school's adorable little motto: REMEMBER, YOU WILL DIE.
Rating: Summary: Better Than Harry Potter!!!!! Review: The best book I've ever read in my entire life!!! I could not put it down!!!! I finished it from the day I bought it to 3 days later!!! If you could have seen me at the end you would have laughed because I was almost crying from cliffhanger that it leaves you off with and your so anxious to find out what happened!!! Thats why I'm getting The Ersatz Elevator and The Vile Village and I bet it will tell me what happened!!! Although a sad, anxious, and funny ending you will absoulutely positively love this unfortunate book!!!
Rating: Summary: Best of the series yet Review: This book is the best Mr Snicket has written yet. The situations in which the Baudelaires find themselves are funnier than ever - particularly Sunny being put to work as an administrative assistant who must make her own staples. The introduction of the Quagmire triplets and their friendship, though, gives the story more emotional depth than its predecessors.
Rating: Summary: The Austere Academy Review: I thought this book was very well written. It was a story of friendship and trust although the end almost made me cry.I gave this book 5 stars because it was sad in a funny way.
Rating: Summary: The Best Series Ever Review: I love a Series of Unfortunate Events. The fifth book (The Austere Academy) made me cry at the end, even though I am only 9.So READ THIS BOOK NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Best So Far In Series Review: I have to admit as much as I've enjoyed these books, by the fourth I was getting a little bored. The structure would stay the same, the victims names would just change. I was so glad then to find the fifth book expanding and bringing in new characters who look like they could be around in future books. Mr Poe packs Violet, Klaus , and Sunny off to a horrible boarding school that has ridiculous rules. Of course you wait to see when the evil Count Olaf will rear his head, but the distraction in the book comes from the addition of two children the same age as Violet and Klaus who become their friends. It gives the series new places to go and breaks the normal story outlines. It's also the longest so far but for me it read the fastest. If you've liked the other books in the series you can be sure you'll like this one as well.
Rating: Summary: What is a cakesniffer? Review: Well, I've read the series up to this book so far, and I had to get right online to write this review. Finally, after four other books, Snicket introduces some more characters that are the Baudelaire's age. This widely expands the series. This book also makes us wonder a lot more about "Count Olaf" and gives you the inkling that he may have had a lot more to do with the Baudelaire's problems...
Rating: Summary: Very Good Book Review: This book is excellent. I strongly suggest you read it/buy it. It's an interesting tale of three unfortunate orphans, the Baudelaire orphans (Violet, Klaus, and Sunny), to be precise, who, in book the fifth, are stuck at the Austere Academy, which strongly resembles a graveyard. There, the orphans meet two triplets (the third died) and become friends with them. Count Olaf strikes again!!! Read the book to find out more..
