Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WAS VERY REALISTIC!!! Review: Margaret is a lot like me. I liked reading this book because it helped a lot. It was interesting to read Margaret's point of view.
Rating: Summary: I think this book is a good book because it is interesting! Review: Margaret moves to New Jersey.Margaret is the main important character she is 11 almost 12! One thing Margaret has on her mind is she needs to decide what religion she wants to be.I LOVE the book, Are You There God It's Me Margaret because it talks about teenager stuff. READ IT NOW!!!!!
Rating: Summary: I really enjoyed it. Review: I really enjoyed this book it was full of nice things. It makes you wonder if there is a God and where it is. Can you talk to her really? and are all Americans like Margret. The story-line is a bit weak but on the whole it was a great book. The only thing I didn't like about this book is Margret is a bit immature for a 12 year old although some girls are like this in England we arn't. By the time most British girls are 12 they have been wearing bra's for 2or 3 years and are quite experienced with boys.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down! Review: I loved this book. I could really relate to some of the problems that Margaret had. Margaret's parents did not believe in religion, but Margaret was really envious of her friends who belonged to a Y or a jewish community center. Margaret was trying to decide which religion she should be. In this book margaret finds out that she IS close to god, and god is not only in a religion but god is in you. Margaret talks to god about normal pre-teen problems, liked periods, bras and boys. This book is really helpful to pre-teen girls. I really reccomend it.
Rating: Summary: I loved it. Review: I really liked this book ,even my mom liked it. Sometimes I didn`t like Nancy for not telling the truth or making fun of Margaret. It was good for Margaret and her friends to form a club,so they can talk things out. All girls should read it.
Rating: Summary: This is the best book! Review: This is the best book I've ever read. I think Judy Blume did an EXCELLENT job! It's interesting because where Margaret use to live in New York they were all normal but when she moved to New Jersey they weren't normal at all. Margaret got asked by one of her next door neighbors, Nancy (Who's in her class) if she would like to be in a secret club with some of her friends. But now Margaret has to watch out because these kids ain't normal at all!
Rating: Summary: The book is great. Review: The book is called Are you there God?, it's me Margaret. In this book a twelve year old girl named Margaret has moved to another state and meets this girl that she hangs out with and goes to school with, they both are in the same class.Margaret's grandmother comes to visit her family all the way from New York. When Margaret's grandmother left to go back to New York. They waved good bye until she was out of site. the night before Margaret's first day of school her mother rolled Margaret's hair in curlers, but after an hour they started to hurt her head so she took the curlers out of her hair. The next day she went to school they had a new teacher. It was a male teacher named Miles J. Benedict Jr. After school Margaret met at her friend Nancy's house to join her new friends club they talked about their first day at school. They made certain rules for the club. The next day she went to school and her teacher talked to her about her how to get to know you paper. That night Margaret's grandmother called her and said that she got a subscription to Lincoln center. They would go once a month. Well I want to say that the book called Are You There God?, it's me Margaret is a great book I would say that girls at the ages of mature ten year olds and up would enjoy and understand this book.
Rating: Summary: An honest story about growing up, but outstandingly humorous Review: Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret by Judy Blume may just be one of my all-time favorite novels. It's a hilarious story about Margaret Simon, a twelve-year-old girl, growing up in the New York area. She has to move to a new town in Farbrook, New Jersey with her parents, away from her grandmother and is trying very hard to adjust with the problems of becoming a teenager. She is faced with many typical pre-teen issues such as school, cute boys, religion, puberty and other growing up factors. She learns how to deal with boys and other "girl" problems through the process of experiment from the help of her mother, grandmother and friends. Most writers would not dare talk about puberty or issues relating to a girl's physical growth, but Judy Blume talks about these issues with a little humorous spice to it. Even though I'm not a girl and can not relate to Margaret's life, I enjoy reading this book because it talks about realistic issues and problems that made me laugh out loud. Moments like setting up a girl group to talk about cute boys, measuring their breast size, talking about their bra size and if they had their periods yet were just several mirthful moments in the book that made me laughing with tears. Not to reveal too much of the book's detail, but her mother choosing a bra for her at a nearby department store shows an aspect of her growing up, but is also comical to even read about it. This is a great book that talks about learning lessons in life and teaches anyone, especially young teens in how to handle hard choices with a funny style to it. I definitely recommend this book, especially for those young teens out there seeking a companion to relate to.
Rating: Summary: This book is great for girls that in their preteens Review: this book is really good. It shows you what it is really like to be a pre-teen. It shows the problems of pre-teen life and the experiences a girl in this range might have. I recomend this to readers that can't get their nose out of a good books!
