Summary: Answer me, are you there?
Review: This is one of her best books. I couldn't put the book down it was so good. Once I picked it up I read it in a matter of a couple days. This book seemed like what an adolesent girl went through everyday of her life. This book made me laugh, smile, cry and sometimes it made me a little disturbed or mad. This book relates to a lot of the books I have read. I can really relate to this book because in the book Margret is jewish and I am jewish also. She would complain to her mom because she didn't want to go to hebrew school but in the end her mom made her go just like my mom makes me go every week. This book is one of the best and I hope everyone will read it!

Summary: Girls will love this book
Review: Are You Their God? It's Me Margaret has been my favorite book for a long time, because I can never put it down. Margaret Simon is 11 and just moved to New Jersey. She has been living in New York for 11 ½ years. Margaret has found out that most of her friends are Christian or Jewish and she can't decide what religion she wants to be. She meets with a rabbi, a priest, and a minister looking for answers. She even goes to confession. Margaret goes through many little adventures in this book, but I will save the rest of the story for you to read. I like this book because Margaret has the same problems as any teenage girl would have, and she goes to God for help. Are You Their God? It's Me Margaret is a great book and I know that any other girl who reads it will agree with me.

Review: This is one of the greatest books for pre teens. I read this when I was about 11. I loved it! It's a great novel about growing up and puberty. It expresses the thoughts of a young girl and it rings so close to home. I reccommend this to any girl!

Summary: Holds Up Well
Review: When my sister was about 10 or 11, and I was about 8 or 9, she did not want any of her brothers to read this book. So of course, we did. I didn't quite get it all, but I do remember thinking the book was not such a big deal. I kind of enjoyed it, despite the fact that I wasn't about to face any of the problems that Margaret did. Now, over 20 years later, I had the pleasure of rereading the book, and I found it to still be a good book. In fact, an even better book than many of the adult novels I have read in my life. And it ages well, Blume is careful not to let too many period details clutter the narrative, and the result is just an all around good tale. In my opinion, it's more Margaret's inquisition into religion that is the main theme of the book, not her awaiting her "visitor" or her breasts. I think this is a great book for young adults...male or female..., and can still be enjoyed by adults all these years later.

Summary: Am I the only one in the world who hated this book?
Review: Really, I don't get why people think this book is so realistic. Matagret is a sixth grade girl who is flat, and is wrorried she'll never grow. This is sixth grade! And it's not like all her friends are bra-wears; they have the same "problems". Her "crush" is the cutest and meanest boy in class: she doesn't want to like the nice guy who has a crush on her because her friends hate him. She and her mom are best friends, and the most un-realustic deal: she's imature, flat, never kissed, and doesn't have her period at the beging of the book, and by the end all has passed. Please. Also, it seems as though Judy Blume has tried to cram every single thing that happens in puberty in this book and it drags. Don't read this book if you're looking for real life.

Summary: All About Adolesence
Review: Judy Blumes, Are You There God? It's Me Margaret, is a good book for any teenage girl. I would recommend this book to any pre-teen female who is experiencing the real things in life. When girls are going through adolesence many unanswered questions arise in their heads. Sometimes they are afraid to ask these questions to their parents, so they remain unanswered. Judy Blume answers a lot of these questions throughtout her book. The theme of this book is every girl goes through adolesence, so ask your questions. Margaret Simon is a typical teenage girl, who is going through adolesence. She has a very private life with God and asks him many of her questions that she has about adolesence. She has just moved from New York to New Jersey. When she moved she became good friends with her neighbor Nancy. Nancy and her friends, Janie and Gretchen had a private club. They welcome Margaret into their club, which they mainly discuss menstration, and boys. When she moved to New Jersey was when she started talking to God. Margaret's grandmother and father are both Jewish, but her mother is Catholic. This book is hard to stop reading once you start. The best part about it is that you can realte to many of Margaret's situations. Once agian, I would recommend this book to teenage girls who like to read about real situations.

Summary: A timeless classic
Review: I think the themes in this book are as true today as they were when I read it ten years ago, or when it was written twenty years ago. The feelings that Margaret experiences, be they about kissing boys, growing [up], dealing with her friends, or getting her period, are painfully familair for anyone that was once a adolescent girl. I plan to give this to my daughter, when and if I have one.

Summary: A God-send for pre-teen girls!
Review: I read this book as a 13 year old with lots of questions. I'm now 20 and it's still one of my all-time favorites. This book deals with the changes that occur for young girls in a candid, sensitive, humorous way. In my opinion, it should be required reading for any female who is embarking on the scary world of adolescence! I highly recommend this book to girls everywhere!
