Rating: Summary: The Undecided Girl Review: I picked up the book, Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret when I was nine years old. I thought this book looked really juicy, so I read it. I guess I didn't really understand then, but I can really relate now. Even though this book was written in the seventies, it is so realistic to my life in the nineties. Judy Blume takes serious teenage issues and finds the true humor in them. This book made me lighten up about topics I though were serious and realize how funny they really are. I would recommend this book to any girl who is concerned about bras, friends, religion, periods, or cute boys. This book is great, and the best book I have ever read. Sometimes I wonder if it is really fiction, because Judy Blume knows exactly what's up with pre-teen to teenage girls.
Rating: Summary: What I Wish I'd Known Review: I should have read Judy Blume's Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret many years ago. This book would have helped me a great deal had I read it when I was a young adolescent. Judy Blume takes you into Margaret's life and lets you experience (or re-experience) all of those pre-teen moments. I feel that this is an enjoyable book that adolescent girls could read to help them prepare for their first crushes, their first period, and even their search for a higher power. Through Margaret and her friends young women are able to learn what to expect in those crucial teen years. The teen years are defining years and young women need to find a way to cope with them. This book provides answers, understanding, and encouragement. Although I believe the target audience of this book to be young women, I feel strongly that it would also benefit men, especially fathers because they experience different things during the teen years. The book would help them to gain a better understanding and insight into the lives of their daughters as well as other women. Overall, the book is well written with its target audience in mind, enjoyable, and eye opening.

Rating: Summary: Are You Thier God? It's Me Margaret. Review: Are you their god? It's me, Margaret.Reviewed By: Sophia This book is about a girl who struggles through growing up. Her name is Margaret. It is by Judy Blume. In the beginning She moves from New York to Farbrook New Jersey. In the beginning she meets new friends and one of her friend's name is Nancy. Margaret is a smart girl who people take advantage of. This book is realistic fiction.the author is Judy blume and there are no illustrators. This book is a great book for a girl to read. I recommend this book for girls 9 and up. I love this book so much that I have read it three times! It is so good you will never want to put it down. Here are some traits that Margaret has: Brave, smart and sweet. Margaret behaves like a normal growing girl. Sometimes Margaret tries to hard to fit in instead of being herself. Margaret also has a grandma who wants her to be Jewish Margaret doesn't have a religion and tries to choose one. She is almost twelve like's tuna fish, long hair and the smell of the rain. I can make a connection between Margaret and me. Both Margaret and me worry about what other people think of us. I will try to use how Margaret solves her problems for an example of how I will try to solve mine. Margaret is determined to pick a religion. Everyone is surprised Margaret doesn't have a religion and doesn't go to church or Sunday school. There are also other fabulous books by Judy Blume! For example: Blubber or Deenie and many more! In the middle of the book Margaret starts growing up and she gets nervous. My favorite character has to be Nancy. She is my favorite character because she is very much like people I know. Some of the same behaviors they have in common are making me feel like a dope to act like they know everything. She is also very outgoing. Proof that she is outgoing is that she is not afraid to speak the truth. My opinion about the book is that it is a wonderful book and is like real life! For example: Margaret acts like any normal girl would. I think Judy Blume really thought about what goes on around us and things that can really happen. You can also look up to the book for an example of how to fix your problems. This book is a great way to open your mind and imagination!
Rating: Summary: Better then Health class Review: This is a great book because it is not only a novel. In this book, Judy Blume explains what kind of changes girls go through(without the disgusting details) I can't really relate to Margaret though. I didn't exactly want those things to happen. But it's still a great book, as everything else Judy Blume wrote.
Rating: Summary: recommended for all girls 9 and up....a must read... Review: i am now 34 year old and i read this book at the age of 11...one of the girls i went to school with told us about it and we all asked our parents to buy it. i am now ready to buy it for my 10 year old daughter. i have purchased it for many cousins and nieces over the years and recommended it to all age appropriate girls. it is a great book. it shows these young girls that they are NORMAL. it shows them that they are growing up. it also gets them thinking about questions they may have. i learned alot in school and was still shy about asking my mom about things i didn't really understand. but this book made me realize that all females go through this and we have to get answers somewhere. so go out and buy your own copy no matter how old you are. and be sure you tell everyone aga appropriate to purchase it too.
