Summary: her best yet
Review: this is the best of her books. i picked it up and didn't put it down till i was done. i wasn,t sure it was going to be that good because there were no vampiers, as usual. this turned out to be the best. i'm glad i read it after being disapointed by #3&4.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: better then the rest, impossible to put down!
Review: I have read each of her previous books with delight at the vampiric worlds, but "Hawksong" brought her writing to a whole new level. It is more polished and mature than her past novels, her writing style is being refined and is more sophisticated. I was completely unable to put it down- the world she created with the avians and snakes is fresh, new, and fascinating; the characters of Dancia and Zane are fabulous. It is a must-read novel about the war between the hawks and the snakes shapeshifters, and the desire of the heirs of the royals- Danica, hawk, and Zane, cobra- for peace. Their relationship and romance, like their characters, are polished, alive and more developed than those in "Demon in my View", "Shattered Mirror", or "Midnight Predator". (though each of those is excellent as well! I recomend starting at the beginning and reading each of her books- "In the Forests of the Night" is the first) I can't wait for her next book, because she just keeps getting better!

Summary: Excellent
Review: I believe this book is an excellent read. I gave it 4 stars because the book felt rushed. I think that Danica, the main character, needed more to her. Unlike all the other characters I could not create an image of her in my mind. This book has also fewer detailed fighting scenes and, sadly, no vampires but I still recomend it. Enjoy.

Summary: Polished and mesmerizing
Review: Atwater-Rhodes has a remarkable maturity in her writing that surpised me when I read this book. This is the first of her books that I have read, and I was drawn in from the first moment. The story is more about the characters and cultures than about plot, although there is still enough action going on to keep the reader interested. The whole of the book was absolutely fascinating. The conclusion was a little abrupt, but appropriate for the tale. This is a great piece of fantasy writing, and I cannot wait to see what else this young writer will come out with.

Summary: Another great book...
Review: This book by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, was astoundingly great, even for Rhodes' work. The relationship and hesitations of Danica were so enticing and fit perfectly for Zane's willingness for peace at any cost. I know there is a review somewhere around here, so use that to help you decide. But I will say that if you pass this up, you are missing out on such an opportunity!

Summary: Awesome
Review: Although I don't have a particular favorite book written by Atwater-Rhodes, this was definitely one of my favorites. The plot was different, different than any of the other books she's written, but she did it with great talent. Her use of words is mesmerizing, and describes each scene carefully and brilliantly; enough to bring the reader into the story itself.

Summary: Different is Good!
Review: Amelia Atwater-Rhodes has written another great read--and there isnt a vampire in sight. It's great to see her writing about other different-type-people besides vampires and witches. Although...I'm still waiting for the real-life equivalent of "Dark Flame" to be published...I am a diehard Aubrey fan!

Summary: Hawksong Rewiew
Review: I think that Hawsong is the best book I have ever read! Amelia Atwater-Rhodes does a great job! Everything is just so real and vivid. If you have not read it please do, it really is worth it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A gripping read
Review: This may be a biased review, as I love ALL of Amelia's work, but this book was outstanding. I never thought that I would be able to appreciate a non-Vampire novel by Ms. Rhodes, but I was proven wrong. The tension between the two... races was horrifyingly moving. I loved how I was able to easily relate to Danica! I cannot wait until the next book of the expected five is released!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Just picked it up on a whim...
Review: ...and found myself devouring it. It took a story that was pretty apparent from as early as the first chapter and summary and made it a very interesting read. I really enjoyed the characters and their growth through the book. I would like to see another story with these races, and sequel to see how the characters develop and their interaction with other races and their new empire.
