Rating: Summary: Birds(and snakes) Of a Feather Review: This is the fourth book of hers ive read and i must say... IT WAS AMAZING. i finished a few nights ago and have begun to reread it already. The end does cut a bit short. I can only hope for a sequel.
Rating: Summary: Best book so far Review: Amelia Atwater has shown us maturity with her new book Hawksong. The detail and beautifuly mastered plot kept me rereading this book over. I give this book four stars because, although it was one of the best books I have read for a while, I felt that there should have been more problems between the characters besides assasins, although that idea proved interesting. I also think the ending was too rushed for my taste, and she could have added more. Overall I think this was a great book and I cannot wait for it's sequal Snakecharm.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read! Review: Extravagant writing! Amelia Atwater Rhodes is one of my most favorite authors, and an excellent writer. Not only does she give her characters intricate personalities, but she also enforces their views. The book is a bit repetitive, and only a tad bit confusing, but the overall story diminishes such tiny flaws, and instead leaves the reader with a passion to read more of these fabulous stories. Absolutely excellent writing! A must read for all ages!
Rating: Summary: Very nice Review: I enjoy all of Amelia's books. They are styled and written well. I think this was one of her best but, I am a die hard Aubrey fan so this was nice but I like Deamon In My View better. Two thumbs up!!
Rating: Summary: peace. Review: I have read and own all of Amelias books. This book revolves around war and forbbiden love. It is awesome and it will keep you interested till the end. It is one of the few books that I read over and over again because it is great. Amelias books get better and better with each one that comes out.
Rating: Summary: Very satisfying Review: I read this in a single sitting--I literally couldn't put it down until it was done. It is a fast and entertaining read, but the ending seemed a little rushed. I would have liked a more rounded ending, but I finished the book feeling satisfied--one way of telling a good book from a bad one.... Warrior Within (ISBN:0954512200)
Rating: Summary: Another great one from Amelia Review: Amelia Atwater-Rhodes has hit the jcakpot with this one. In the beginning it is a bit hard to understand, but once you start reading this book, you won't be able to put it down. It starts with Danica Shardae comforting Gregory Cobriana as he dies. Her own brother has just died, and she doesn't want Gregory to die the same way her brother did, alone. In places it does get a little sappy, and sometimes a little too much time is spent on one topic, but all in all, the book is well-written and imaginative. The descriptions of the avians and the serpiente are descriptive and clear, and she did a good job describing the locations, as well. A fairly quick read (I was finished in about an hour/hour and a half) but an enjoyable one.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book but... Review: I thought this book was very good, but underdeveloped. Amelia's books are always original, but they always seem like they end too soon. I think Amelia should write adult books, which might give her more freedom to write things that might seem inapproprite for younger audiences.
Rating: Summary: 'Hawksong' Review: I don't know what it is, but there is somthing about Atwater-Rhodes' writing style that causes me to absolutely fall in love with her characters. With this new book, it seems to me that her writing style is becoming more mature. Here is an interesting new addition from an author who has shown a record for surprisingly tender stories. Hawksong is of a different feel than her previous stories. Instead of dealing with vampires in any way, she focuses on shapeshifters, which is a slightly less dark topic. Her characters are all imperfect in their own ways, making them emotionally realistic. Danica is soon to be the ruler of her hawk shapeshifter clan, the avians, as they are called. In her life, she has seen almost everyone she loves die. Such is the same story with Zane, the heir to the serpiente clan. Both have been presented with a solution to end the war, but it would mean a political marriage between them. Such a thing has never been heard of before. In order to end the war, however, they are willing to do anything. But Danica starts to fall for Zane much sooner than she lets herself realize. The only problem is his serpiente-ness. How can the two clans live along-side each other when their rulers cannot even get past the skin and become friends, maybe even fall in love? -Embyr Bradson (11/25/03)
