Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Love, Guilt and Suffering of a Young Girl Review: "It Happened to Nancy" is a beautiful book. This story is about a young girl who falls in love with a older man. He uses her for his own pleasures and because of this she suffers. This is a story of a girl living her life trying to make the best of it and figureing out why such a terrible thing happened to her. Note: Not everyone can handle this book. It may be a good way to learn a lesson but to read about a human being suffering can sometimes be hard to stomach.

Whoever hasn't read this book yet is missing out on what life is really about. This was a true story about this young girl who got affected by the AIDS virus. And it wasn't her fault at all.All I have to say is that, that was the greatest book that I ever read. And everyone should read it to.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A True Tear-Jerker! Review: This is the best book I have ever read! I started to read it when a friend recommended it to me. By the end of the book, I was in tears. This is the true story of Nancy, a fourteen-year-old. It is the actual diary that Nancy kept. Nancy falls in love for the first time with a handsome college guy, Collin. Collin was the perfect guy and earned Nancy's trust. Then horror struck one night, Collin date-raped Nancy and left her with the HIV virus. Through this book Nancy tells how she deals with having AIDS. If you haven't read this book yet, go to your local library and check it out. (Just make sure your have a box of Kleenex next to you!)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A True Heart-Breaker!! Review: I must have to say that this is one of the best books I've ever read. It is awesome! The book is a true story written from Nancy's diary. This is a story of a fourteen-year-old girl who falls in love with a much older guy, Collin. Collin is a perfect boyfriend and treats her like a queen until he date-rapes her and leaves her infected with the HIV virus. Sorry to interupt but that would be horrible. I couldn't have read any faster after I read that part, I just wanted to finish the book as fast as possible. The story from then on is about how she deals with her life after being infected with HIV. It gives great detail about everything that happens everyday. It's like your really there with Nancy when she tell her life story. You must read it, it's great!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Book That Shatters Stereotypes Review: When my mom picked this book up at Walden's she encouraged me to read it. I humored her, did as asked and read it. After the first couple of entries I read, I was hooked. Usually when adults thinks of a teenager, they think that we don't have to deal with any hassles. We are all always getting in to trouble and can never get ourselves out of it, just deeper in it. The diary of Nancy proves all those stereotypes to be wrong. It Happened to Nancy, is the diary of a young lady who thought she found love, but instead lost her life to the AIDS virus. This diary shows how precious life really is. I encourage you, weather you are thirteen or ninety-six to read this book. It will truly give you a new perspective on life.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I LOVED THIS BOOK - IT WAS WONDERFUL Review: I loved this book. It doesn't matter how old or young you are, you can read and enjoy it. It is the type of book you can curl up with. Nancy had healthy relationships with her parents and friends. She was a very positive person who loved life and fun. I felt I got to know her, and thought 'she's the type of person I'd like to hang out with'. It's sad that she is no longer with us. It's horrible that someone took advantage of her and raped her and gave her AIDS. Nancy lost a lot - she lost her LIFE. I feel bad for her. I hope she's in a better place now, happy and having a blast.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A learning experience in disguise Review: I just finished reading this amazing book. I was at a used bookstore and my mother picked it up, and asked me if I'd like to read it. I read the back, and it seemed alright, so I said "yeah", not even giving it another thought. About a week or 2, I remembered about it and picked it up. I couldn't put it down. It's an amazing book about an amazing and herioc girl. It teaches kids about the safety of sex and aids. It's a learning experience in disguise, because it's so real and griping, that the message comes easy and naturally to you. You can sit in a classroom all day and listen about AIDS, but you never get the full effect of the disease, until you hear the grim truth of it through a person, who's lived it. This is an excellent, book that people of any age or gender will enjoy!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It Happened To Nancy Review: This book is a total tear jerker. On the back to the cover it reads, "Reading this true story may save your life. It is very true. This book teaches teens and their parents to be more aware of the incurable disease, AIDS. I would rate it a five. I never got bored with the book. It is an excellent real life example of what can really happen to you, especially if you have the idea, "Oh, AIDS can never happen to me." The main character in this book, Nancy, shows you what it is like dealing with HIV/AIDS in your social and physical life. A must-read for all teenagers, especially the young teenage girls. An important, sad lesson which everyone needs to be taught.
