(It Happened To Nancy pg.20) Nancy meets this really cool guy at a concert and falls head over heels for him. They start to hang out more and more but it's hard because Nancy is in JR. High School and Collin is in college. Then, when Nancy's mother goes away on business,Nancy invites Collin over for dinner. They eat, have a couple of wine coolers and make out next to the fire. But when Nancy walks Collin to the door,he becomes violent and assaults her. That bnight would be a night Nancy would never forget. And her hower doesn't end there... The book It Happened To Nancy is one of those books you just can't put down.I really enjoyed reading this book because it's writtin in diary form and introduces us to a brave, teenage girl. It's so amazing how Nancy tries to keep it together once she realizes that her life will never be the same. This book is an anonymous teenagers diary of how she struggles through life. I would recommend that you read this book because it's about a girl, living her life the best she can one step at a time.

Summary: It could happen to you ....
Review: I thought that the book "It happened to Nancy" was a very intresting and sad story of a true life teenager explaining the pain and grief that came from her illness of HIV. Nancy seemed to be a very strong person for not letting others how they act all nice to her get to her. Nancy was only 15 when she found out that she had aids. While her having aids she also had another illness that made her aids virus even worst. I can't say I feel Nancy's families pain because my famliy nor I been thru somthing similar like that. But I would like to say one thing that Nancy was a nice, caring young lovible lady that wasn't afraid to be afraid of what she had . She was herself, like everyone else that has waht she had that you shouldn't let what other people think or say its whats inside that counts and that your closest friends and family are always going to be ther for you. Be thankful for what you have and what you are.

Summary: Touches the Heart
Review: I only ordered the book because it was by the same editor of Go Ask Alice, one of my all-time favorite books. However, as soon as I read the first page I couldn't stop! It was so moving, hopeful and sad. I always though that AIDs only happened to people who had unprotected sex, but this poor girl...well, I'll let you find out for yourself. It truly was an excellent book. It is definately a book that everyone should read, especially teens.

Summary: It Happend to Nancy
Review: A fourteen year old girl meets the man of her dreams but little does she know he would haunt her for the rest of her life in her nightmares. Nancy (the main character) is infected by the HIV virus after being raped by Colin (an eighteen year old college student) in her mothers bed. This book is excellent because it describes all of the symtoms and hardships of what the battle with AIDS is like. Questions of wether to tell her friends of what she has been through would surely mimic any teenagers way thinking which is why this is a must read. It builds your awareness on how difficult it is to have had these things happen to someone you know or yourself. I have to say if i had seen or known of an AIDS victem previous to my reading this book i would have been extremly dubious but now having gaind the knowledge i know that they are just the same as regular people except they have to worry about infecting other people, taking their medication and... dying. there is one point in the book where Nancy has to choose between going blind and dying. that part of the book was most memorable for me because i(had i been her) would not know what to do and perhaps have just died right there. But Nancy struggled to go on and i think everyone could gain a little bit from reading this book... from Nancy.

Summary: A Must For Teen Girls And Parents
Review: I purchased this book for my 14 year old neice. I read the book before giving it to her.
This book brought back many memories for me on just how tough it is to be a teenager and how you feel and think as a teen. It is written from the diary of a 14 year old that is date raped and gets AIDS.
The book is very real and makes one see just how sacry the dangers are in this world not only for teens but all of us. It is a great example of how anyone can get AIDS.
The book is very, very sad and at times hard to read because of the sadness. I greatly admire this girl's family for making their daughter's painful journey available to others. I hope all that read this book can learn from it as I have. I think this would please the young lady that this book is about very much. As this book shows this young lady was such a special person although I don't think she relized just how special that she was.
If you are a parent you should read this book. If you are a teen you should read this book. If you are a human being you should read this book.
I will never forget this book, it's message and especially the young lady that wrote about her short life in her diary.

Summary: So touching
Review: When I finished reading this book, I was so sad! I can't believe that some people are actually that cruel. The sad part was that it was true. Even though Nancy was suffering, she lived every day of her life like it was her last. It was a great book, I would recommend everyone to read it.
