Summary: It Happened to Nancy is an excellent book
Review: I have read this bood twice and both times it was excellent. It is all about this young teenage girl who puts all her trust in this guy, Collin who helps her find her family when she gets lost at a concert. He lies about his age and his past, she gets more and more involved with him and he rapes her. After awhile she finds out that he gave her AIDS and this whole book is all about what happend to her as she fights this deadly disease. I would recommend this book to anyone over 12 or 13.

Review: A book I recommend to all females of any age, although it was written for us YA's. It was the first novel I ever read. I think every WOMAN should read it. It helped me a lot and made me aware of the dangers we females face. I may only be 14, but I know what to look for now!

Review: A sad story about an inocent young girl who thought she had found love but had really found death. So many people in the world have the same problems but never got to ask the questions she got to ask. Her book was so sincere she just let everything out into her dairy. A wonderful book that will help hundreds.

Review: It Happened to Nancy, Is about a young girl who was raped and got AIDS from a a young boy named Collin. I decided to read this book for one of my summer reading projects and I feel in love with it. Nancy's diary was overwhelming. While she told you her story, she also taught me about date rape and AIDS. This has definately been one of the best books I have ever read!

Review: I am a 12 year old male, from Brooklyn and I found It Happened To Nancy a sad and educational book on rape, STDs and the emotions which follow. I reccommend this novella for children ages 10-13 as both a great book and and a resource on sex eduaction, and themselves.

Review: When I read this book, I felt that I was actually going through her pain and started to understand that this kind of thing could happen in real life. I liked the honesty of the girl who wrote the diary and I think people should read this book to see what kind of world we really live in.

Summary: I'm going to teach this book!
Review: I spent the whole summer reading young adult titles dealing with AIDS. I was looking for something that would appeal to my 8th graders, and I found it! It was a toss-up between this book and What You Don't Know Can Kill You. This book fulfils the educational goal of showing teenagers that AIDS is a disease that can happen to anyone. "Nancy" seems so innocent and naive, as are so many of my students. I'll feel better sending them off to high school this year after they've read something like this. I hope the boys can relate to it too. I can't wait to see my students' reactions. Teaching about risky behaviors through literature is the way to go. "Technical" information about sexually-transmitted diseases is not enough! I wish some of the reviews here were from young men (teenage boys) who have read the book.

Summary: Everyone Loves The Best
Review: Collin was so nice to Nancy at first and then he raped her, so that just tells me that I can't trust any man I know and don't know. I loved this book so much, it just broke my heart. My teacher was gettting rid of books and I went through them, I saw this one and asked her why it was in the pile. She didn't know why, but she told me I could read it. And that's how I got to read this wonderful book, if not that I wouldn't ever know it was writen.

Review: It happened to Nancy was more than just a book.. Nancy was just a normal teenage girl and her life got ripped away from her.. It's scary when I think it could happen to me, because I know it is possible. I have so many dreams for my future, and if they all got taken from me I would probably die mentally.. If you havn't read this book, please do.. It is a must read for everyone. I cried so hard during the entire book, no book has ever touched me this much, other than Go Ask Alice.
