Review: THE DEMONS OF THIS BOOK WERE AWSOME! ITS CATCHES YOU FROM THE START,(WITH THE CHOSEN GETTING SLOTTERED IN TO BIT OF FLESH.... BUT ANYWAY IT A VERY ORGINAL BOOK THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH J. R. TOLKIEN'S CRAP WITCH WAS REALY BORING. A MUST READ.

Review: This book is a very great achievement by terrybrooks!!!!The first and so far best one ive read by terry.It's about full fledged war when the ancient tree that seperates the humans and other creatures from monsters below the planet's surface(or other dimension) with elfs,dwarves,humans,trolls and gnomes all on one side against the monsters who where put away thousands of years ago,the future seems bleak for the elves,with monsters vowing vengeance for the thousand of years being put away but, alas one thing can save them from total destruction that is.. ohh let me not spoil it for you(if i had already have)!!!!!!!!oh yes dont forget the leader and monster king who will with might can destroy the world!!!

Review: I had to read this book for school. At first glance I thought it would be stupid. I am usually not a person to read lengthy books. But this one blew me away. I just couldn't put it down. I would read a few pages, then stop, then pick it up again because was wondering what would happen next.

Review: This book is truly great! Original, high intensity, thrilling, and spellbinding are appropriate descriptions. Terry Brooks deserves to make a million million bucks off this one. This book is much, much better than the first book in the series (The Sword of Shannara), and not just a rehash of Tolkien. If you can only read one fantasy book besidesTolkien (my hero!), read The Elfstones!!!

Review: This book is my all time favorite Fantasy book. It took me only a day to read it because I couldn't put it down, partly because the plot is something that I now that I couldn't have come up with. Terry Brooks is my favorite author, and I'm glad to hear the he is still writting. I have never seen a fantasy book written so well since I read Watership Down.

Summary: Excelent book.
Review: This book is the second most Gripping book I have ever read. It transports you to the actual place and makes you feel as though you were there. I love the way that you are captivated to read on. The things that happen are almost terrifying. But you get a feeling of fright because it always seems that the bad guys aregoing to win and all the caracters are depressed and have lost all hope of ever winning. The story is original and captivating also and I loved the descriptions of the battles against the demons. I think that this book is one of the best books ever written.

Review: Brooks does a better job with developing his characters in this book than The Sword of Shannara. In fact, this book was in general better than the first one, if somewhat shorter. The battle scenes between demons and elves are quite interesting. I wasn't very impressed with the final "nick of time" save at the end. If I could only read one Terry Brooks book, it would be this one

Summary: The best of the Shannara Series
Review: This is the best work by Terry Brooks so far. The plot is the most original of all the Shannara stories. The Sword of Shannara had a good plot but his writing style was weak, with lots of redundancies and not enough character development. This book improves on the original with its much more tangible "time limit" on the quest, as well as giving a good lesson in guerilla tactics. Both sides are intelligent and devious in their plans, and you can almost sympathize with the bad guys. The ending is great and makes the sequel much more plausible. I will reread this one many times

Review: Elfstones is one of the best books I've ever read. It makes you run the gamut of emotions from terror to wonder. I've read this book 4 times and will surely read it again. Each time I cry and laugh and wonder if they will win through even though I can almost quote the book from cover to cover. Everything about this book is memorable. The evil is truly evil and the good truly good. I just can't say enough terrific things about this story. If you have never read a fantasy book and don't think you would like it, read this book; it will change your mind forever
