Rating: Summary: Redwaaaaallllll!!! Review: I am 24 years old. My wife told me about Redwall because the students in her 5th grade class love it. We wanted to see what all the fuss was about so I read Redwall. Then Mossflower. Yesterday, I finished Mattimeo and it was the best yet. It was very exciting with lots of brave characters, evil villians and new ideas. I loved it. I have Mariel of Redwall waiting for me on the shelf, but first I have to visit an old fava bean eating friend.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I have ever read. Review: It's a rich land of adventure and you can meet any one from Sir Harry the Muse to Basil Staghare. Its also not a wishy-washy story about a bunch of cute little animals. Its got a personality. - Daniel McCoy (age 9)
Rating: Summary: I HAVE TO KNOW!! Review: I LOVE THIS BOOK, IN FACT, ITS ONE OF THE BEST BUT THE ANSWER STILL ILLUDES ME!!What halppens to mattimeo? most of his childhood and his entire adult life is never written. the same for his son and father! what happens? are they killed in glorious battles or do they die of natural causes? what happens to them? i have to know?!
Rating: Summary: A fantastic book! Review: This was a great book. I loved it. There is only two problems with this book. 1) It's way to long, 2) The beginning is very boring. Once you get past the beginning the book is exciting.
Rating: Summary: Very Humorous, loads of fun and surprises, and big meals! Review: This book is possibly the best Redwall book I read. I is very long, but every page is filled with adventure. The Stag Hare comes back for the feast in the beginning, and the children are stolen the vey same night. The bad guy Slagar/Chickenhound is very bad, most of the good guys live, and the book ends with a huge feast (much to the delight of Basil Stag Hare).
Rating: Summary: This Book is good it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Review: Mattimeo is a young mouse son of the great warrior of Redwall Abbey, Matthias. When having a feast a sly fox called Slagar The Cruel interups it saying he is a magition. He slips sleeping potion into their drinks and the whole abbey falls asleep. Slagar the Cruel then steals the young ones of Redwall even Mattimeo as slaves. Slagar takes the young some mysterious place in the southlands. Matthias the warrior and other brave critters go on a long, dangerous quest trying to free the young ones.
Rating: Summary: Mattimeo? Great Book! Review: This book was one of the Redwall series, that starts out boring but ends up exciting like in the Battle of Malkariss. I don't want to give the rest away. I would spill my guts, but JUST READ IT!
Rating: Summary: Is it over yet? Review: This is possibly the worst Redwall book I have ever read. The story was incredibly long and boring and plot wasn't all that great. The other books are much better, though, even though I haven't read it yet, the newest book, Marlfox, isn't supposed to be all that hot either. Try again next time, Jacques.
Rating: Summary: This book is about the fight to save the young of Mossflower Review: Mattimeo is the story of how one cheerful day, Slagar the fox slaver and his band of slavers come to Mossflower disguised as harmless circus. They are allowed inside Redwall Abbey, but then drug everyone there. They kidnap all the young mice to work as slaves, including Mattimeo, the son of Matthias, the Warrior of Mossflower! Matthias and his friends race after the slavers and fight many battles to finnally rescue there young ones, and Mattimeo finally proves himself worthy enough to weild his fathers sword, which was once Martin The Warriors own sword.
Rating: Summary: Brian Jacques absolute best! Review: This is definitly the best of the Redwall series. It has an interesting plot and great charactors, I definitly recomend this book.
