Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: This is the 3rd book of the Redwall Series and i would have to say that it is by far the best out of the first 3 books. Even though it say that the group that would enjoy this book is ages 9-12 it was a great read for me at 16! I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: This book was the best book that I have ever read! Review: I really loved this book. Whenever the story started to get dull something always popped out. Whenever I had free time I grabbed this book and started reading. It is about a warrior's son and his friends captured from their home, Redwall Abbey, and becoming slaves. Their parents follow the capturers trail and seek out to find their kids. But in between there are many other surprises that you will find out by reading this book.
Rating: Summary: Best book Review: Mattimeo is truly a terrific book. I have re-read it about 5 times, now. The first time I read it, I was absolutely spellbound. If you have read Watership Down, you are sure to get a treat from Jacques' Mattimeo. In my opinion, Brian Jacques is a much more interactive author, who really draws you in, almost instantaneously. You quickly become attached to his characters, and keep reading to satisfy your curiosity as to what will happen next. The description of the settings in Mattimeo is brilliant, and the mysteriousness of the villain's schemes are slowly revealed as the plot thickens. The scene of the last battle was a stroke of genius. It was amazing how Jacques' was able to smoothly and effortlessly, incorporate parts from the other Redwall books into this one. And he created such a vivid mental picture, that I felt like I was fighting alongside the heroes. Mattimeo is my favorite of the 10 I have read so far. This is a great book, for those of any age, and I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Not just for Children! Review: What a fabulous read! Actually, all the Redwall books had me gasping for more. Once you start, it's impossible to stop reading them, and they just get better and better. Mattimeo in itself was one of the best in the series. It had all the right ingredients which make the Redwall books so enjoyable; good company, good food, comradeship, love, honour and high excitement. The Redwall series is unmissable, for all age groups. I'm 24 and I'm addicted!
Rating: Summary: Martin the Warrior Review: Martin the Warrior is the tale of a young warrior mouse. He goes through many adventures fun, and sad. Brian Jacques does and excellent job of description from golden truffles to savage horde beasts. This was the first book I read of the Redwall series, but I really liked it and I would suggest it to any one who likes action, or just a good book.
Rating: Summary: This book was fantastic Review: Mattimeo is the best book I have read in a long time. I read it first, because the place I bought it at did not have Redwall. I didn't feel like I had missed the beginning because it was the third. This series is good because you can read the books in any order you want. Great book!!!!
Rating: Summary: If you like fantasy thrillers, this book is for you! Review: One of the earlier additions to the Redwall series, Mattimeo, by Brian Jacques is a great book for both fantasy and action readers. When Mattimeo, the Abbey Warrior's son, along with other creatures is kidnapped, a hunt for both captives and capturers alike turn this novel into a non-stop thrill ride. This book kept me interested for almost the entire story. I recommend this book to anyone looking for an interesting and action packed book that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Recommended ages 12-16.
Rating: Summary: Probably the best book I've ever read. Review: I really like this book because I like fantasy and it is cool to have animals like mice be the main characters. This defininately fits the definition of great fantasy. I also like it because it is so good that you never want it to end and it is so long that it takes a long time to read it because it is like 436 pages or something. I still read pretty quickly because it was so good. The only bad thing is that rats are bad in Redwall and I have a pet rat and it is a lot nicer than described in the book but it is fantasy. If you like fantasy and animals, this will probably be your 3rd or 4th favorite book you've ever read. On a scale of one to ten,ten being the best, I would give it a nine and one third.I would probably say that it is the best book I've ever read(I say probably because the other Redwall books are great too). If you like Redwall, you will probably like Harry Potter too.
Rating: Summary: An epic adventure of the warriors of Redwall Review: I really liked this book. It was just what i would have expected from the sequel of Redwall. If you liked Redwall then you will definatlly love this book. The reason that I gave this book 4 stars was because the ending was lacking a few things. It just didn't seem like it was over.
Rating: Summary: A great story about a civilization of warrior mice. Review: Mattimeo is a wonderful book about a civilization of warrior mice that live in a castle. These mice, foxes, weasels, and stoats live in Mossflower Wood. This book contains many exciting stories and adventures told and experienced by the characters themselves. This is an excellent book to read. It may take you a couple of days to read, but it is worth it. If you like action packed books filled with violence, this is the book for you.
