Summary: Possibly the best in the series
Review: When I bought this book at my local Pamida I thought it'd take me a long time to read ( it is the longest Redwall book ). The book only took up about a month of my time though. That's probbaly because the story line progresses smoothly and there are so many things in this book you'll want to read as much of it at a time as you can. I'd buy this book if you're a fan of the Redwall series or if you like fantasy stories.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: Mattimeo is the third book in the popular Redwall series. It is about a group of small woodland creatures whose children are kidnapped by the insane, masked fox Slagar and his band of slavers. One of the children is Mattimeo, son of the warrior mouse Matthias. Matthias and his friends begin a journey to find their children and bring them back to Redwall Abbey, their home. I really liked this book because there was a lot of action and humor. It held my attention because the author switched between a lot of different scenes and situations. The book told of the adventures of Matthias and the other searchers, Mattimeo and his friends with the slavers, and the other Redwall inhabitants, who are fighting off an army of birds who are trying to take over the Abbey. A great book!

Summary: An exellent adventure! Deserves more than five stars!
Review: At a Redwall feast, a group of evil creatures (dressed as actors) show up at the door. They secretly drug all the food with a sleeping potion and steal all the young ones when they're sleeping. Now it's up to the fearless warrior Matthias, and his friends, Jess Squirrel, and Basil Stag Hare to find them. Brian Jacques once again captures the reader's imagination with a variaty of action-packed plots, lifelike charecters, and a can't-put-it-down story. I enjoyed this book a lot, and I'm sure you will too.

Summary: Another wonderful story from Brian Jacques.
Review: "Mattimeo" is another wonderful visit to the world ofRedwall. The characters were once again top notch, with new heros tocheer for and enjoy, such as Orlando The Axe, a brave badger warrior and Sir Harry, a poetic owl. A return of earlier characters includes Matthias, the hero from "Redwall", Logalog, leader of the shrews, Constance the badger, Basil the hare with his quick wit and voracious appetite, and others. Jacques continues to top himself in terms of the wickedness of his villians. Slagar the Cruel, a masked fox who is also a slaver is truly chilling in his madness for revenge and General Ironbeak, a power crazed raven, brought to mind another notorious animal general, Woundwort from "Watership Down". One wonders where Mr. Jacques culls his characterizations from! The story itself is exceptional, and the imagery of the writing was many times truly amazing. Another fine entry in the "Redwall" saga. May Brian Jacques write many, many more of these wonderful books. Redwallll!

Summary: A great book.
Review: Matthias the warrior mouse's son, Mattimeo gets captured by Slagar the Cruel. Basil Stag Hare, Matthias, and Jess Squirrel goes on a search for him, and Tim and Tess Churchmouse. My favorite part of the book was when Matthias falls of the cliff and finds Mattimeo and the others.

Summary: So far, his best!
Review: If I could, I would give this book 50 stars! Even though I have read 5 of the books in the Redwall series, I believe this one is the best one he has written. What I think is strange, is that some of you out there, rate the books by how long it takes you to read the books! I, on the other hand, rate the books by how good I believed the writing is. I may be a small part of this world, but I know when I read a good book, and my choice is independent of what other people say and think and broadcast.

Summary: Good book...
Review: I quite enjoyed Mattimeo, but I found one minor flaw: As with other Brian Jacques novels, the plots are usually the same. Beasts get sick, or have visions, or are captured, or Redwall is under siege. But I still rather liked the book, and I would read it again.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best book in the series
Review: People say these books are only for younger children but I'm still entertained by them at age 19. Mattimeo has always been my favorite Redwall book. I recently started re-reading it and all the memories came flooding back. This book has it all. The best Heroes (Mathias, Basil, Orlando), the best villians (Slagar and the slavers, Stonefleck, General Ironbeak), and it is filled with riddles. A masterpiece of an adventure book. Id recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: Slager the cruel wants revenge on Matthias and he gets the revenge he wants... This book is one of the greatest and is a MUST READ! Action, humor, and all the things you need for the perfect book is Mattimeo.

Summary: A very good book!
Review: This book is about a fox who wants revenge a small community known as Redwall Abbey. The mice and other creatures who live in this Abbey are surprised and shocked when they find out that the performer's(it's really the fox and his gang of villains dressed up) have stolen all the children in the Abbey. All the men in the Abbey go in search of their children and you hear what happens to them when they try to find their chldren and the adventures that they have on the way. This book is a book that I couldn't put down untill I finished it. It is one of the best books that I have ever read.
