Rating: Summary: My Absolute (New) Favorite Book Review: This is the best book I have ever read! I started this book before bed but I couldn't put it down and I was up until almost 3 am reading. I kept having to bury my face in my pillow so no one would hear me laughing hysterically. I'm pretty similiar to Georgia in some ways and Jas is most definetly a combination of all my friends. And I definetly know more than one "Sex God" (Don't know what I'm talking about? READ THE BOOK!)If you read Absolutly Normal Chaos by Sharon Creech and loved it, then read Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging. Like I said, this has got to be one of the best books I've ever read...It's absolutly hysterical and I am just *DYING* for the sequel to come out now!
Rating: Summary: slow and boring Review: Everyone told me that this book was hilarious and that they had loved it, so I bought myself a copy. It's a waste of money if you ask me! I found this book to be very slow and boring. Georgia is so pathetic! There is not much of a story here. She keeps saying that she is bored, hates her life and wishes she could kill herself but is too depressed to do so. Don't waste your time on a book like this! The first 50 pages talk about how she is too ashamed to go out because she shaved off her eyebrows! Honestly, it's hard to believe that there is a publisher out there who bought this book!
Rating: Summary: Doubled up Laughing over this one Review: This book had me giggling and all out laughing!! It was written in just the way so it sounded like a teenager's laments. Oh, and the glossary in the back helps too.
Rating: Summary: Funniest book I've read!! Review: Teenagers, if you thought your life really stunk, read "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging" and get yourself to realize that life might not be so bad (at least compared to Georgia's). Georgia was a hilarious character, one many teenage girls can relate to. She finds herself in the most outrageously embarrassing situations and survives. Read this if you're curious of what full-frontal snogging really means.
Rating: Summary: Angus~I love you! Review: This book was a choice for a bookclub I'm in. I absolutedly luved it! The author was right on target about how a 14 year old girl feels. I'm 14 and it was just 'a laugh'. When I got to the last page, I couldn't stand it. This book will make you laugh out loud and have a jolly good time! Cheerio!
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: This book was a great book. Full of laughs. About a girl growing up in England(it is her diary and the words are words used in england such a snog meaning kiss) she is growing up with crushes best friends and even some spying. I highly recomend this book for pre teens - adults if you want a fun book.
Rating: Summary: stereotypical brainless girls with no life beyond boys Review: Can't think of life defined beyond how boys view your looks? Read this book. Do you think the Bridget Jones Diary persona is a road map of life to come? Read this book. Do you think women and young girls have more to offer than how much they weigh or what they look like? Don't read this book. It is superficial, stereotypical, and sexist. There is nothing funny about depicting young women as slaves to an outmoded and sexist view of life.
Rating: Summary: Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging Review: I really enjoyed this book, I have shared this book with all my friends at school. My grade eight teacher asked to borrow the book and thought it was very funny. My mom read this book over the summer to me and my sister and she laughed so hard she cried.
Rating: Summary: Funny and fresh Review: I highly recommend this book to any girl age 12 and up. It's very funny, realistic, and well-written. Georgia is one of the most well-developed characters I have read about. She is a good role model for teenage girls. Instead of promoting the traditional, politically correct teenager stereotypes, Louise Rennison has attempted to show the life of a teenage girl as it really is - unpredictable, joyous, funny, and innocent.
Rating: Summary: Fab Fab Fabbity Fab, as Georgia Would Say Review: This was THE best book I've ever read. I couldn't put it down! Every other line, I was cracking up. Mostly everything that Georgia worries about is so true to life it's scary. I could really relate to her.
