Summary: Fabbity fab fab fab!!
Review: This book is amazing!! I could relate to Georgia so much I felt like the book had been written about me and my friends!! Everything they do is so bizarre, but true at the same time, that you can't help but laugh! People that don't enjoy this book are taking it to seriously - it may not deal with important issues, but it's really, really funny!! I've read the sequel as well, and it's just as good if not better. All my friends, male and female, have read it and loved it as much as I did! I think the funniest part is when she goes to a party dressed as a stuffed olive - that sums up Georgia and the whole book!!

Summary: The misadventures of a teenage girl
Review: Angus thongs and full frontal snogging is a book about the hilarious misadventures of an "average" teenage girl. Georgia Nicholson is just trying to survive through her first year of high school, convince her mother to let her wear makeup, survive her little sister who has some very bad habits, live with her part-wildcat cat named Angus, deal with her slightly clueless friend, take snogging lessons, live with her parents, ....

THough she seems to pretty much mess up with everything Georgia's diary is funny, true to life, and a great book to read when you're having a bad day. People who grew up reading the Ramona books will enjoy reading about this Brit teen. If you're a fan of books like "The Princess Diaries" and other humorous diary books you'll love this. It will make you want to start a diary of your own! I reccomend it to any teenage girl who's convinced that they have the most hectic life in the world. You're wrong. You haven't meet Georgia.

Summary: Sidesplitting
Review: At first glance, this book may seem like just a young adult version of "Bridget Jones' Diary", but on closer look, it is a great book in its own right. This book had me in tears of laughter, and I was even happier to learn just as I finished it that Rennison has written a sequel. Georgia is a wonderful throwback to the days when female young adult characters had real spunk... I am thinking of Annabel Andrews, and Harriet the Spy. Her misadventures are ones that we can all relate to, but somehow, these events all seem much funnier when they are happening to somebody else. I also give Rennison credit for her depiction of the parents here as being very real people, and not cardboard cutouts. The fact that Georgia's parents are complex beings frustrates her, and that just adds to the mix. Yes, this book is definitely a must read for all of those on either side of the Atlantic. A previous posting to this list commented that Georgia made "homophobic" comments. As unfortunate as that is, this is most probably the mindset of a young girl, and I did not see any of Georgia's comments as especially mean, just uninformed. There is another, very minor character in this book who could very probably be gay, but Georgia never seems to pick up on that, even though the reader does. Again, I just view it as the fact that Georgia is just very young. I am eagerly awaiting the third book to be published here in the States, but it may take awhile. In the meantime, enjoy this.

Summary: Entertaining and laughable read for all ages.
Review: Georgia Nicolson is 14 years old and right in the throws of everything a teenager holds sacred. As we experience life through her eyes we are brought back to a time that was simple yet complicated. However can that be you ask? Just lose yourself in this enjoyable piece of fiction for a day and you will find yourself laughing out loud and looking for someone to share the many hysterical bits of Georgia's life.

She has a cat that is big enough to stalk and eat the poodle next door and a three-year-old sister that smells a bit "hamsterish". She is in need of a first kiss and is learning from Peter who gives free kissing lessons to anyone who knocks on his front door before his mom gets home at 6:30. Georgia will charm you from the first sentence when she introduces you to her Uncle Eddie who is as "bald as a coot" and can't pass up a chance to ask her, "Should bald heads be buttered?". The scenarios are endless as well as hilarious. This is a wonderful light and quick read when you just want to have a laugh and remember how it was to be a teenager. Kelsana 5/31/01

Summary: A hilarious book that's a whole lot of fun to read.
Review: Fourteen-year-old Georgia feels like there's nothing going right in her life. Her father announces that the family may have to move to New Zealand, where he's found a new job. Of course, Georgia doesn't want to leave England, where all her friends are. She has a huge crush on a boy named Robbie - who doesn't seem to like Georgia back, but is dating her worst enemy. Plus her little sister can be extremely annoying and she thinks her mom might be having an affair with a repairman, school is nightmare, and there's the matter of her huge, horrible nose. This was a hilarious book about in a year in the life of Georgia, a British girl who manages to do everything wrong and nothing right. I can't wait to read the sequel.

Summary: Even Grown-Ups Will Love This Book!
Review: If ever there was a book that matched the hilarity and wittiness of Bridget Jones, this is it! And even if you are an old lady, like me, you can appreciate the teenage antics and woes of Georgia Nicolson. After all, we've been there, done that...

Fourteen-year-old Georgia Nicolson is just like any other her age although she doesn't always see that. She thinks she's ugly, has no boyfriend potential, and believes her parents are a little (or a lot!) on the naff side. Well, what teenager HASN'T thought this! Reading this book is like having a reunion with myself. I was Georgia about 13 years ago and acted much in the same way. And author Louise Rennison was Georgia's age at one time, too, which is undoubtedly the reason Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging is pin-point accurate.

The humor, which spurs big bouts of fall-off-your-seat laughter, is this book's best asset, especially if you're in the mood to laugh. Georgia's 3-year-old sister, Libby, is too cute for words, and if you are a cat fanatic, you will most likely enjoy Angus the Scottish wildcat, who plays a sizable role in the story. A very quick book to get through, written in an easy-to-read diary format, complete with a handy British slang glossary in the back. Must read this novel -- it'll take a few years off you, make you smile, and have you wishing you were 14 again if only for one day. Kudos, Louise Rennison!

Summary: THE BEST BOOK!
Review: I am 13, and this is the best book I have ever read. I don't think this book would be good for children 12 and under, yet it is great for teenagers. Georgia is a very funny teenager who gets into trouble, unexpected romance, and tough situations. I highlt recommend the sequel, (on the brighter side, i am now the girlfriend of a sex god, further confessions of Georgia Nicholsen) although, it is not nearly as good as the first one.

Summary: my favorite book
Review: This is by far the funniest book I have ever read! I told all of my friends to read it (which they did) and we've all been quoting from it ever since. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone over 18, nor would I reccomend it to anyone of the male gender. But girls, if you are looking for a few laughs and a story that you can relate to, read on!

Summary: Will Georgia's life ever get better?
Review: Georgia Nicolson is not very happy with her life. She even has made a list of the 6 things very wrong with her life. She has a huge nose which, when she smiles, spreads out across her face, she is "very ugly and needs to live in an ugly home", her father is like a Tellatubby but not as developed, she shaved off her eyebrows by accident (causing her best friend, Jas, to say she looks like an alien), and on top of everything else she is starting to wonder if she'll turn out to be a lesbian since she has never had anything to do with boys. After she meets Robbie, the Sex God (SG, for short), it seems that it will. To prepare herself, she takes a lesson from the kissing teacher, who will give lessons to girls between 4:00 and 6:30 every weekday. However, her kissing teacher gets a little bit out of control behind a tree at the school dance, and much to her dismay, Robbie sees the action. For a while, Georgia hates Jas because he was going out with Robbie's younger brother. She tells Jas that they need to break up, which they do, and that makes Robbie rather mad. Will she ever be able to use her snogging skills on Robbie? Will her life ever get any better???? This book was extremely hilarious. I loved every minute of it. I recommend it for people who enjoy reading diaries of teenage girls who have things which are very wrong with their lives, etc. Everyone should read this hilarious book!!

Summary: exciting ,mysterious book to read
Review: This book is about a girl with some very funnythings going on in her life. I think that a 13 year old would like this book if she is mature enough.Maybe a 14 year is better for this book, but i enjoy this book very much. This book made me get into it not just make me go to sleep like some books.
