Rating: Summary: truly laugh-out-loud Review: This is the type of book you would want to read when you want something light and funny. I did like Georgia's diary because it made me laugh out loud a lot, and reading her English expressions was interesting and new. She does think like many girls ..., with her own problems about parents, her looks (particularly her larger-than-life-or-so-she-says nose) and self-consciousness when it comes to the opposite sex. I only gave the book 4 stars though because the book sometimes seemed to be going on and on about not very much. I didn't find realistic Georgia's outright rudeness to her parents and the fact that she actually let a boy she didn't even like all that much "rest" his hand on her breast. And I'm confused by the way Georgia writes so on the spot---does she really carry her journal around and write in it when she's spying on people or going to a party? I don't think it's a book to be taken too seriously when it comes to real life, but it's an excellent choice when you just want to relax and have a good laugh.
Rating: Summary: Fabbity Fab Fab Review: In a fantastically funny novel, Louise Rennison makes a smashing debut in the world of teenage literature. Not that you need to be a teenager to enjoy Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging. Rennison uses her witty, sarcastic humour and excellent storytelling skills to create the world of Georgia Nicholson, a thirteen-year-old living in Britian. She's got a mad cat, an even madder sister, suffocating parents, and a thing for a Sex God. Reminicent of the laugh-out-loud Bridget Jones's Diary, Georgia takes you through one hysterical year of her life, leaving you wanting more. Fortunatly, she's provided her newest insight into her life in the newly-released sequal, On the Bright Side, I Am Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God. With, we can only assume, a little help from Louise Rennison.
Rating: Summary: Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha- Unbelievably Funny!!! Review: Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging is a book which is absolutely funny. There isn't a single page in which you don't crack up. Georgia Nicolson is a British girl who deals with the kinds of things every teenager deals with. Instead of moaning and groaning and acting all sad, she writes in her diary in a very humorous way. From dealing with "uncaring" friends to an annoying Vati and Mutti, Georgia is unbelievably funny. Since the book is the diary of a British girl, it uses some British slang. There is a glossary of the slang in the back of the book which is also hilarious. The only other thing I can say about this book is - Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!! Read Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging for a great read and lots of laughs!
Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!! Review: This book was the best book I have ever read in the world!! I read the whole book in one day i loved it so much!! Usually i hate reading books, but I couldn't put this one down I loved it so much!!! I am looking forward to reading the sequal!!!I hope that the person reading this decides to read it because this book is reallly a great book!! Enjoy reading!!
Rating: Summary: Funny stuff!!! Review: This book has got to be one of the funniest books I have ever read!!! I'm not going to give away the good parts, but all I have to say is that Libby is just about the silliest character in the book! I recommend this book to anyone who wants a good laugh!
Rating: Summary: HILARIOUS!!!!! Review: What is wrong with all of you people who gave this book less than 5 or 4 (at the least) stars?!?! This book was the most hilarious thing i've ever read and I can't wait to get the sequel. Whover wrote a 1 2 or 3 star review is mad! You obviously have a dry as the desert sense of humor or no sense of humor at all. This book is all about the typical looney stages of growing up....boys, bras, friends, pesty little siblings, parents, school...this book has it all and I think that every teenage girl (who has a sense of humor at least!) should read this book. It is very much worth your time b/c you will always be laughing after every silly thing that goes wrong in Georgia's life!
Rating: Summary: Georgia Is The New (well, old) Bridget! Review: Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging is the poignant story of 14-year old Georgia Nicholson. This is written in entry-form, but is still very entertaining. Her accounts follow her life's most dramatic moments (not to mention her not-so)day-for-day. Although the story is a tad predictable, it is nonetheless funny and readable. I found the glossary very useful to us non-Brits and loved the clear writer's-voice that was so evident throughout the book! I was shocked by how realistic it was and how identifible! Anyone who enjoyed Bridget Jone's Diary will surely like this novel, as I was often questioning whether Georgia was not in fact a young Bridget! However, this book does have certain faults-just regard it as "fabbity-fab"...
Rating: Summary: Angus, Thongs, & Full-Frontal Snogging Review: It was a good book, I liked it very much. If you don't like reading journal types of books, you'll still like this book...
Rating: Summary: so funny...... Review: ok, this book is way too young for me. and yet, i had to read it. the title alone is appealing. and georgia is absolutely hilarious. i actually laughed out loud while reading this. i think that british literature is so much funnier than american lit. between louise rennison, helen fielding, jane green, and so many others i may never read anything written by an american again. seriously though, georga nicholson has got a personality that makes you keep reading and reading. expoits with cats, olive costumes, insane sisters, no eyebrows, random french, strange friends, weird guys, completely boring teachers, and one amazing sense of humor. you have to love the book and everyone in it.
Rating: Summary: Not that good of a book Review: Everyone says this book is funny. Well I don't really agree. It's too simple, and Georgia's just boy-obsessed and obsessed about how ugly her nose is. That isn't fun to read about. The book was ok, but not great..I wouldn't really recomend it
