Rating: Summary: HAHA!! Review: This book was the best book ever! I could not stop laughing, every page was filled with humor and a story that all teenage girls could relate to. I couldn't put it down and read both books in like 6 hrs!! I would recommend this book for girls ages 12 and up...it is wonderful and i can't say enough about it! ...
Rating: Summary: thongs... :) Review: I LOVED this book! I couldn't put it down because I wanted to read more about her hilarious life. To put it in her words, it is "double cool with knobs". I only bought it two days ago and already I am searching for the second book. One should refrain from reading this book in a public place, as you will laugh aloud(believe, I read part of it on the bus)!... This is a must-read for all teens. All women actually!
Rating: Summary: Fun for the entire family... Review: Georgia Nicholson, the star of *Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging*, reminded me so much of the beloved Bridget Jones, that I ended up calling her B.J., Jr. This short novel, in diary format, gave me the best laughs I've had all summer. Georgia, at the wonderful (ha ha) age of fourteen, shares a year of her life with us. She and her mates spend more time falling in and out of love, hiding from geeky parents and working on the latest beauty techniques. Georgia joins in the fun by shaving her eyebrows off in entirety, falling in love with a bonafied sex god (an eighteen year old sex god, no less) and alienating her parents endlessly. I can't recommend this novel enough. It's perfect for pre-teens, current teens and especially the post-teens. What a hilarious way to remember those angst-ridden years by sharing it vicariously with Georgia!
Rating: Summary: A Hilarious Novel, Even my MOM LOVED IT!!!! Review: This book was THE funniest book I have read! I could relate to it completely! I got some dirty looks in class because I was laughing out loud so much but it was totally worth it! My mom read after listening to me laugh while reading the book and she loved it!!! I recomend this book to all girls! Georgia is a witty, humorous character!
Rating: Summary: Learning how to snog Review: The lime green cover caught my attention while browsing through the young adult section at a local bookstore. The title was intriguing and "Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal-Snogging" was soon an addition to my bookshelf, that is after I read it non-stop during spring break. After familiarizing myself with her lingo, (the glossary in the back is helpful, how else would an American chick know what a wally is?) I became utterly consumed by the humor of Georgia's life. From sibling problems, to crushes, to longing to snog, Georgia's life is filled with completely relatable incidents. Reading this book ensures that everyone's life has it's undesirable aspects, and though humor, Louise Rennison helps readers get through it all. Pick up this book, but make sure you have time to read it- all at once!
Rating: Summary: Angus, Things and Full Frontal Snogging Review: I found this book hilarious! I laughed all the time. Geaorgia really fancies the Sex God (Robbie) but he's going out with Wet Lindsay. Find out how she gets him. The book is in diary form and so tells all about her thoughts as she thinks them. At a laugh a minute, this book is perfect for any teenager who wants a lighthearted book. I would definitely give this book full marks! The sequals to this book are also brilliant. They are called "Don't Worry I'm wearing Big Knickers!" and "Knocked out by my Nunga-nungas!" Sarah
Rating: Summary: Hysterically Funny Review: I bought this book for my 13 year old daughter. She finished it in hours - read it straight through - and brought it back to me to ask me to find the sequel, NOW! The only other comment she made was, "you gotta read this, Mom!" I did and I have to say it was one of the most entertaining books I've read in quite awhile. If you want to know what young teenage girls think about and how they see their world, this is a great read. It may be written in the voice of a British teen, but the themes, anxieties, and teen cynicism are universal. As a parent of one, I found it refreshing and enlightening.
Rating: Summary: Laugh Out Loud Review: First things first, you don't have to be a teenager to read this book. It has all the humor you need to be laughing in the middle of the subway and have people stare at you. The main character's experiences are truely unique but her obsessions ring true for everyone. For anyone who appreciates a glossary at the end of a book to define British slang and sayings that are unfamiliar to Americans
Rating: Summary: funny, for every girl Review: This book is definitely funny. I also think it's one of those books that every girl should read. The main character, Georgia, is so everything, that she brings out a little bit of every type of person. I can't wait to read the sequel! You will truly enjoy this book. (not recommended for guys)
Rating: Summary: Fun for anyone Review: I know this may be written for teens, but there is no woman alive who won't relate to Georgia's confessions. A laugh riot from front cover to back, and certain to aid in the treatment of any case of the blues.
