Rating: Summary: Angus thongs and full-frontal snogging Review: I think that this is a very funny journal and I really enjoyed reading it. This book is written in a diary format. It's about a girl who has a lot of problems, but she still makes her life fun. She has problems with boys, school, parents, and her little sister. I didn't like the end because it left you hanging and I just had to read the other book. I didn't have a lot of personal connections with this book , but it still was fun to read and most of the time I just had to finish reading it at that moment. It's the kind of book that makes you not get out of chair until you're done with it.
Rating: Summary: OH MY GOD THIS BOOK IS HILARIOUS! Review: I've read this book more times then i can count and it just keeps getting funnier. And the sequel is even better! Buy it and just like me you'll be going into laughing spasms while reading it in school. This is totally worth the strange looks you'll get while reading in public. A must for any girl. I love georgia, i feel like i am georgia at times. I cant tell you how much i love this book. Get it and you wont be able to put it down.
Rating: Summary: A 100% must-have Review: I absolutely loved this book! It was outrageously funny. When I read the back of the book it gave a warning stating, "Hysterically funny. You might want to refrain from reading this one in public." I had to get it! At first, I didn't think it would be THAT funny. But it truly is! I was sitting on the train the other day and I was reading the book and burst in to laughter. I couldn't help it. And it starts off pretty lame in the beginning, but once you get further into the book, its so hard to put it down. I've even learned some new words along the way with the glossary in the back. the book was just fabbity fab fab!
Rating: Summary: What actually goes through a 14 year old's head Review: Wow, thats all I have to say. This book was amazing. I'm only 16 years old, and I hate to read, but this book never let me put it down. It reminded me so much of, well, myself. This book shows you the things a 14 year old is really worrying about. They don't care about their parents or school. There just hoping their hair looks ok, and what boyfriend there going to have next. Its kind of like that stage everyone goes through, the "I wanna be sexy and popular" stage. I love how Georgia described everyone with such detail as well, its almost like you knew everyone she was around. Another thing that I loved was none of the characters were perfect, they all had flaws with there looks, not that oh I'm a supermodel kind of thing. I also like how it relates to a relationship that has to do with age difference. This is a big thing to parents today, 14 year olds going out with guys that are almost 18. It kind of helps you relate to the situation. Well anyways I would really recommend this book to just about anyone, espcially if your looking for a good laugh, and something to keep you busy
Rating: Summary: Hilarious Review: Very funny diary of a young girl- easy to relate to, and nothing very far-fetched. Excellent in that it does not take itself seriously at all. This is not an academic book- it is a beach read, but a definitely worthwhile one, as is its sequel.
Rating: Summary: Gorgeous, Fabbitty FAB FAB FAB WITH NOBS! Review: This book is absolutly hillarious. I have the fatest cat in Ohio and i can relate to it. Her cat is really funny! Plus her sister...dont even get me started! I would sit up and laugh for hours saying, "poor gorgia!" "hahahaha!" This is just a wonderful book. PERIOD! SOOOOOOOOO FUNNY! I would recomend this book to EVERYONE, even boys. It doesnt even matter because it's really really really really really funny! I loved the glossery in the back, because ocassionally i would get a little confused with words like..."loo" and "how's your father?" But this is a diary i will NEVER forget! To anyone who has read the Princess Diaries...I would REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY recomend this book. Georgia is like mia's twin. And who ever has reqad this book I would recomend The Princess Diaries!
Rating: Summary: THE FUNNIEST BOOK EVER Review: i couldn't stop laughing! I would get strange looks from family and friends as i rolled on the floor cluthching my sides. A book is pretty special if it can catapolt you into a roar of giggles. From georgias crazy cat who eats it's lead to her description of thongs and snogging lessons. I recomend this book to anyone adn everyone. The only thing dissapionting was the size. I finished it in two hours but well worth the buy.
Rating: Summary: more, more! Review: Gee, this book really bought back all those day to day dilemnas of being a young teenager! The naiviety when it came to boys, the struggles trying to individualise the school uniform, the feeling that your parents are from another planet....Georgia Nicholson had me laughing out loud many times during the book. There were so many things that were funny- her cat, her lesson in snogging, her attempt at peroxiding her hair so she could casually flick it out of her eyes, only to have the whole clump fall off in her hand! The day when her class had an emergency teacher and everytime the teacher turned to write something on the board they would all silently shift their tables back a few inches until they were all cramped up the back of the room bought back so many similar memories for me! I highly recommended this book to anyone who needs a lift, for anyone who needs to have a bit of a laugh or giggle.
Rating: Summary: Angus, thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging Review: I thought it was quite cute! I know, from being a teenage girl, that that book describes every minute of my life! It totally relates to me, and everyother girl in the world. It's a great book of problems with boys,friends,family,make-up,what to wear and your cat eating the poodle next-door! At the end of the book, you'll find yourself saying "Georgia...IS ME!!!"
Rating: Summary: Just Not the Greatest, Sorry Review: I really did not find this funny. Georgia wasn't the brightest person on Earth, which usually I would not have a problem with due to the fact that genuiuses are rare, but she was *very* dumb. All she had on her mind: Boys, Clothes, Makeup. If that's really what teenage girls are like... I'm dreading my next birthday. Georgia also did not seem to be real to me. She just seemed like a name on a piece of paper bound into a hard piece of paperish-thing, which isn't a very attractive way for characters to be. So there, that's what ruined it for me. But, go ahead and get it from the library, I guess, since a lot of other people like it, it's worth a try.
