Rating: Summary: "Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging" review Review: Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging (confessions of Georgia Nicolson) by Louise Rennison is about a 14 year-old girl named Georgia whose life, in her words, is turning around because of her success with kissing lessons. Georgia's best friend Jaz is a huge blabber mouth who is very nosy. Georgia's big crush is an 18 year-old boy named Robbie. Robbie, according to Georgia, is very hot or is an SG (sex god) . This book is mainly about Georgia's life and all the funny things that happen to her. As you are tuning into Georgia's hilarious journal entries about her friends, crushes and enemies, you realize that all the things that happen to you in your life are normal. And all the crazy things you do, like bleaching your hair with hydrogen peroxide ( which is one of Georgia's many schemes) are part of a stage that you go through. This is a great book all teenage girls should read.
Rating: Summary: . Review: There were a few very funny lines in this book, and that's why I gave it three stars. But the rest of the book was totally unreal. My friends and I are around 14, and we don't make out with people. We don't even go out with people! That's what the characters in this book do.
Rating: Summary: fabbity fab fab! Review: Although I may not be the typical market for this book (being a 23 year-old graduate student with a degree in theology), I enjoyed it immensely! I am very eager to buy the sequel, "On The Bright Side..." It is almost as fun as "Bridget Jones Diary" and better than "Bridget Jones' Edge of Reason". Some of the adventures seem a bit advanced for a 14 year-old, but the fun of it all makes it forgivable. After finishing it, I immediately lent my copy to my 17 year-old cousin who loved it and read it in one day. I would reccommend this to teens and adults alike.
Rating: Summary: This Book will NEVER go out of NAFF!! (ok, fashion) Review: This is a total laugh out loud book! I thought it was very funny, and very "fabbity fab fab"!! It defiantly deserves some bangers on the cover!! In this story, Georgia is a teen from Great Britain, living the joys of teenage life. From almost completely shaving off her eye brows to dreaming about the "Sex God" (Robbie), to complaining about her little sister and trying to find out how to get some full frontal snogging techniques. Georgia confides all her feelings and thoughts in her diary, whether they are really necessary or not! And if the confusing English talk confuses you, don't worry, there's a complete Georgia's Glossary at the end of the book! This book should get a definate 5 stars, and any one between the ages of 11 and 20 should read it!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: The Best Book Review: The Best Book The plot of this story is a very joy ful .The girl's plot is at school. Then she would be at home mostly. But have the time the plot is at the park. . I like this book because it was a funny and interesting book because of how the girl became a woman. The other reason why I liked this book because of the character's one of my best characters is Angus and her friend Lindy. I like them because they were cool, funny and very interesting. The setting made me like this book because it was a very interesting to me. But I mostly liked when they went to school. I liked when they went to school because they had a lot of problems with friends and there family. The other reason why I liked this setting was that she had a lot of other problems becoming women.
Rating: Summary: Laugh out loud funny. Review: Georgia is a teenage girl that has more on her mind then school. From the start of this book it had me laughing and had me laughing all the way to the last pages. Georgia reminds me what it was like be a teenager, not that I'm too old to remmeber. She is in love with Robbie and will do anything to get him. I love how Georgia found her parents to be the most annoying people that she knew. What teenage didn't, I also loved her sister Libby and how she acted and how most of the time Georgia didn't get upset with her. But her cat Angus had me laughing, from Georgia's description that he could eat the next door neighbors poodle, to how he was playing with the next door neighbors gerbil. Overall Georgia was a teenager who described her life in a way that had me laughing. I am looking forward to reading the next book about Georgia.
Rating: Summary: Great Book for Teens Review: Georgia Nicolson is one sassy British teen. In her self-written diary Georgia records one school year in her crazy teen years. You can say that Georgia really thinks her family is one crazy bunch. She thinks her father has the mentality of a teletubby and her mother isn't great either. And...oh yeah that little sister of hers that might have peed in her room. Last but not least Georgia also owns a cat named Angus that seems to have some Scottish Wildcat in him and sometimes hears the call of the wild and manages to wreck the house! Hilirous! Her family isn't all of Georgia's problems. It seems that the "Sex God" Robby just doesn't seem to have a interest in her. And since she aint ever been on a date Georgia and her best friend Jas try to do some dating with numerous older school guys which turns out to be an all out diaster! A great book on the problems of us teens! All out hilirous! Georgia is one bad teen but she has a good side too. I can't wait to read her next book!
Rating: Summary: An American Opinion Review: I picked up Angus, Things, and Full-Frontal Snogging at my school library, and read the entire thing that day! It was none stop laughter for me, frequently stopping to read a part of the book to my friends and sister...(my sister has now also read the book and absolutely adores it!) I have had confrontations with On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God, but I never really got around to buying it. I must say, I'm glad I didn't, because I got to read the first one before it! I must say that if you are a teenage girl in needs of a good laugh, or a boost into womanhood again, this is the book for you! I can totally relate to Georgie, (well-no-I've never really shaved off my eyebrows before) but I have had different confrontations with boys, teachers, trouble, parents, younger sisters, and the like. This is a MUST READ for any teenage girl!
Rating: Summary: good story but... Review: this is a great story! im half way through and i really like it but, the only thing i dont like is that it is in diary form. personally i like storys told in 3d person. but its a great story and i would recomend it. oh, one more thing... one more thing that i dont exsacly like it seems like everything in the main charecters life starts out good and then something goes wrong?!
Rating: Summary: A truly wonderful book Review: This is my absolute favorite book of all time. No offense to British people, but I think that the way she talks is very amusing. The glossary in back helps a lot. Letmealso say, that her name is Georgia, not Georgina. That's all.
