Rating: Summary: none Review: Very good, very funny, and very belivable. I really enjoied this book. Georgia has a way of looking at things and making them funny and interseting. Not much of a plot or anything, but thats besides the ponit. My friend recomended it to me, an dI fell off my bed laughing so hard. A good read. 11+ is a good age group for this book. Not something for those who are younger then ten, or most of the humor might go right over their heads. But a good read.
Rating: Summary: Laugh out loud funny! Review: I have never actually read a book before that made me litteraly laugh out loud except this one. One of my friends lent me hers and I read it in 2 days. All I can say is, WOW! The book is so easy to read and entertaining you wont be able to put it down. While there is not much depth to the book and the characters are quite shallow, I think that's what made it so funny!
Rating: Summary: Really Really Funny Review: This is very funny. I am a teen girl, and I could relate with many things even though I am not English. Georgia Nicolson gets herself into many situations, and they are very funny, and sometimes sad. I really thought this was funny and a very good book to read if you are looking for one. Never boring.
Rating: Summary: A Very Funny Book Review: This book is a great rendition of what a typical teen-aged girl is going through in her life. I literally read it in less than half of a day. I didn't want to put it down because it is so funny...and true. It is written in diary format and very easy to read. The language barrier between Brit's and American can get somewhat confusing but there is a glossary in the back so that you can look up words if you cannot understand them. This book is basically a younger Bridget Jones...very humorous, very real world. Georgia has all the trials and tribulations with her pals and family that a typical middle class girl would go through. Her cat is psycho but makes it all that much funnier. I recommend it for girls ages 12 and up...they will definitely be able to relate!
Rating: Summary: A really funny, good book. Review: This one is SO FUNNY! I couldn't stop reading it! One of my favorite books.
Rating: Summary: Best book of the Millenium Review: This book is so good. It's very funny and makes you laugh outloud. All the kids at my school want to read it. words can't explain how wonderful this book is. If you like this book you would like the sequals and the sisterhood of the traveling pants, and the princess diaries series. Once again this is THE BEST BOOK OF THE MILLENIUM!
Rating: Summary: Not Just a Story Review: Laugher, romance, and a little twist and you get the book Angus Thongs and full-frontal Snogging! Tired of reading the same boring books of teenager disasters? Then you are definitely ready for this book! It is the story of a teenager girl and her friends, growing up to become teenagers. Just like normal teenagers Georgia (the main character) falls in love with a total Sex-God! Georgia goes to partys... kisses... and what Rennison calls "full-frontal snogging" trying to win the sex god's heart. There are also very "eery" parts in the book! I just read them laughing! And, at the same time kind of thinking ... eww gross! All in all, the book was EXCELLENT!Read it and see just what I mean.
Rating: Summary: Suprisingly Excelent Review: When I first saw the book that my mom had bought me titled "ANGUS THONGS AND FULL-FRONTAL SNOGGING" I thought she had gone mad and I hesistated to pick it up considering I'm not the type of person to talk about kissing or lingere. Actually I'm the last person to talk about any of those things but curiousity got the better of me and I took a look at the book, then it was too late... I was hooked. The note from Georgia in the beggining of the book would have grabbed anyones attention. The reader will follow Georgia through her Diary as she encounters adventures and misadventures. In this book Georgia struggles through hilariously chaotic life dealing with "GORGEY" boys (a particualar one named Robbie), half-wit parents, a self-absorbed best friend, and a large, mad scottish wildcat named Angus for a pet. I recommend this book to any teenage girl...WARNING...This book is not a book of morals...it is a fun and easy read that will leave you rolling on the floor laughing. If you read this book and did not like it because you thought the characters were shallow I suggest you take life a little less seriously and just have a good laugh...enjoy life. I enjoyed this book, read the second book (which I enjoyed as much as the first) and are anxiously awaiting the arival of the third book. Remember don't always judge a book by it's cover and curiousity doesn't always kill the cat! Have fun reading!
Rating: Summary: Suprisingly Excelent! Review: When I first caught sight of the book my mom had gotten me titled "ANGUS, THONGS, & FULL-FRONTAL SNOGGING" I hesistated to pick it up since I am not one to talk about lingere or kissing. Actually it's probaly the last thing I would talk about to anyone. I eventualy got curious and opened the cover. From then on I was hooked. The opening letter from Georgia is enough to keep anyone curious. Georgia is simply hilarious, and her outrageous misadventures keep you reading because you never know what will happen to Georgia next. As Georgia struggles with her chaotic life between her half-wit parents and a gorgeous guy she's chasing things in her life never seem to go as planned. I would recomend this book to almost anyone. I even read a few parts of the book to my brother and he seemed to get a laugh or two out of it. Like I said don't be cautious when you see the title of the book and remember... never judge a book by it's cover!
Rating: Summary: True Confessions of a Georgia Nicolson Fan Review: This book is probably the funniest thing I have read, until I read its sequel. I found myself laughing out loud, something I rarely do when I am reading a so-called "funny" book. This book goes beyond all other "hilarious" books. It eclipses everything. You can't put it down because you want to read of the hilarious antics and boy-traps Georgia and her friends Jas, Jools, Ellen, and Rosie think up. (As Georgia would say, "What in the name of pantyhose is going to happen next???") This book comes conveniently with a glossary, in case you have trouble understanding Georgia's lingo. The glossary has everything from Agony Aunt and Aggadoo to whelk and "having the painters in." This book is one you should read over and over again. This is probably the only book where you will find yourself reading in class. Take my word for it---read this book!
