Rating: Summary: I recommend this book to EVERYONE!! Review: This book is truly the best "teen" book I have ever read (and I've read alot). It's a hilarious outlook on the average teenage girl's life. it just happens to be set in England and the hilarious words she uses (that are kind of alien to an American) can be found in another hilarious glossary in the back. May i also recommend "On the Brightside I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God". Both are so funny you'll be cracking up so hard you'll have tears in your eyes (atleast I did).
Rating: Summary: only 5 stars??! Review: This book was a total laugh out loud book! The vocabulary (from England) is so unique and it keeps you interested and intruiged. You'll constantly be hoping that something will work out for Georgia, the main character, yet everytime something goes wrong, you can't help but laugh! An excellent read for girls to share with their friends! Guaranteed to put a smile on your face! *also read the sequel: On the bright side, I'm now the girlfriend of Sex God
Rating: Summary: THE funniest book I have ever read Review: I had heard about this book for a while, and when I was at the bookstore I bought it, and its sequal, On The Bright Side, I'm Now The Girlfriend of A Sex God. I started reading it at the store, and by the time I got home I couldn't put it down. The British terms were a bit confusing, but the author put in a helpful glossary. This book was unlike any I have ever read, and I plan to read every book in the series.
Rating: Summary: This is a book for the lazy! Review: I bought this book after my friend read it, she had been talking about it for a while, i saw it in alot of my teen magazines and in some stores! My friend got it for me for my birthday, now i hate to read, but just by staring at the cover and reading the weird title made me wanna go home, jump into some pj's, pop some pop corn and read the book! Right off the bat its an interesting book, the author even put in a glossary of all the english words we dont use in America, which makes it fun and interesting... The story itself is every teenage girls...filled with ups, down, heartbrakes and uncontrolable laughter! It definetly is a must have for teenage girls!
Rating: Summary: Hilarious! Review: this book is absolutely wonderful!!! I read the whole thing in less that 24 hours, I could not put it down! I cannot wait until i can get my hands on the second one!
Rating: Summary: Nappies? Review: I found this book when me and a few friends were shopping in the mall. They all turned and looked at it and started laughing histarically at the title. All together they turned looked at me and said that this book looked like my type. I read the title and glared at them.... I find this so funny now because 2 weeks after they said that, I kind of went back and bought it, I was just so curious. It turned out to be one of my favorite books of all times, I only dream I get a guy like Robbie and Georgia is the funniest sounding girl I have ever read about, or for that matter: heard, saw, know, or ever talked to. I absoulutely loved it though I do recomend trying to refrain from reading this one in public, I was laughing my head off and everyone was staring at me like I was a loon. This a absolute smashing book and I do hope you enjoy it!!
Rating: Summary: Outrageous Review: I have read all three books in this series and I feel like Georgia and the characters in the book are my family. This book was AMAZING. I recommend it to all teenagers, male or female. My male friends who have picked up the book or heard an excerpt (from me) all borrowed it, read it, and loved it. It is SO funny! My family quite often thought I was bonkers when I laughed for no apparent reason. DEFINITELY READ THIS ONE!
Rating: Summary: Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging Equals a Fun Read Review: One of the funniest books that I have read in a long time, Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging, is definatly worth the short amount of time it will take to enjoy it. Georgia Nicolson is just an average teen girl growing up in suburban Britain, keeping account of her everyday woes in her diary. Its almost impossible not to laugh out loud as Georgia takes us through her life. No matter what she is dealing with, be it trying to get back at her man-eating cat Angus, an episode of over aggressive eye brow plucking, cleaning up after her baby sister (who has a bad habit of leaving diaper 'suprises' in Georgia's room), or simply trying to impress her crush (known as the Sex God, or SG for short), Georia's way of plain not taking anything to seriously (or as Georgia says, "Why bother") proves to be hilarious. Overall, Georgia's comical, frankly honest, and at times humorously shallow accounts will keep you entertained throught the novel. I would definatly recomend this book to anyone looking for a short, light-hearted summer read.
Rating: Summary: Angus, Thongs and great humor! Review: This was a fun and humourous book. The dialogue rang true, the situations are true to life and the situations are just what teens go through today! Great book, great family! Great Laughs!
Rating: Summary: Me...... only British! Review: I got this out because my library wrote a shining review of it on their website and I also adore diary novels, mostly I think because of the voyeuristic feeling to it. Georgia Nicolson is every girl. I could easily relate with her feelings for the Sex God, her annoyance with her Mutti and Vati, and everything else. I laughed all the way from when she shaved off her eyebrows to the glossary which was so funny that I had to read it, even though I've read so much British stuff that I knew what she was talking about. An absolute gem for every girl who thinks that she's the ugliest girl on the face of the earth even though a Sex God has called her beautiful.
