Rating: Summary: One of my absolute favorites! Review: Oh wow, if you haven't read this book you HAVE to! It's one of my absolute favorites. I got it recently after it came out and I still read it, laughing hysterically all the way through. I don't like to read a lot, but this book really gets me. I guess maybe because I can relate. The girl in the book, Georgia, is supposed to be around 13 because in the 3rd book she's 14, but anyway, she acts 15 or 16 and is SO funny. I am recommending this to anyone who likes to laugh - if you do I guarantee you'll enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Every teenaged girl should read this book! Review: I read this book and thought it was excellent. It was extremely funny, i could not stop laughing, and i never wanted to put it down. It only took me about 3 days to read it because it was so great. The book takes place in England and it was interesting to see how someone who lived there viewed the world! If you read this book you have to read the other two! I promise that you will love this book!
Rating: Summary: ABSOLUTELY FABBITY-FAB-FAB!!! Review: I recommend this book to any girl (and guy...I guess) who loves humorous books! This book is hilarious! It's about a girl named Georgia, her parents are embarassing, her sister is annoying and her cat is crazy! To make it all even better, her best friend, Jas, is clueless! This book is in diary form, and is about Georgia's life and her most inner secrets! The cool things are that you will be laughing your head off, you learn stuff, and there are two other books after that! You should definetley read this book and the second and third books! I promise you, this is a book to remember!! :)
Rating: Summary: Brutally Honest Review: The main character in this book reminds me SO much of myself. It's incredible! Many of my friends hate reading, but they'll read this in a very short period of time, which means it has something to it. You think you can predict the parts of this book, but you can't. It's beauty at it's very best, the truth. Realistic and humourus, the perfect combination.
Rating: Summary: Best book ever ( little eagle) Review: She has a cat that is big enough to stalk and eat the poodle next door and a three-year-old sister that smells a bit "hamsterish". In this new English book, ?Angus, Thongs, and full frontal snogging? by Louise Renninson, Georgia Nicholson, age 14, will charm you from the first sentence. The scenarios are endless as well as hilarious. you will crack up laughing. She is in need of a first kiss and is learning from Peter who gives free kissing lessons to anyone who knocks on his front door before his mom gets home at 6:30. This is a wonderful light and quick read when you just want to have a laugh. It is totally hilarious, as can be told by the outrageous title.
Rating: Summary: HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! Review: This novel was hilarious!!!!! It is about a fourteen year old girl, who reminds me much of myself. She is a hilarious character who you can not help falling in love with. I have never laughed to this extent in a novel. In the book she takes snogging lessons from this really hott guy and is in love with Robbie the sex god. Robbie thinks she is too young so she goes out with dave the laugh. I swear, if you do not read this book, YOU WILL BE MISSING OUT ON A WORLD OF LAUGHTER. You know that fake laugh you sometimes get? YOU WILL BE GETTING REAL LAUGHS!!!!!!!!! If anyone rated this lower than five stars, shame on you!!!!!! Like this book was totally fabbitty fab fab! Thongs: what is the point of them anyone? They just go up your bum, as far as I can tell. Full frontal Snogging: Kissing with all the trimmings, lip to lip, open mouth, tounges, everything. Angus: The size of a small labrodor, only mad. Hint: Refraim from reading this in math class! I would recomend this to anyone who is not all serious and does crazy things with their friends! Rating: Summary: Five Stars for a Reason Review: Louise Rennison's use of dialogue, in this fun and exciting collection of confessions, makes this book as great as it is. "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging," the title alone makes you smile. You must admit, when you saw the title you had to explore further, it just sucks you in. When Rennison skillfully gets inside this teenage girls head, and tells the world all she's thinking, there is no way to avoid blushing, laughing, and above all, having a great time. One of my friends gave me this book, and told me I'd love it. She was right; I read it in less than a week, because Rennison's use of dialogue really pulled me in. She made it seem like I was mischievous for reading Georgia's diary, and compelled me to keep reading about this poor girls' bizarre life. When Georgia tells of her conversations with the all infamous "Sex God," the neighbors, her family, and her best friend Jas, you just can't help but imagine yourself standing right there, as if you are simply eaves-dropping. As a fellow teenage girl, this book especially attracted me. It tells about a girl's life, but holds back the gloss. It is not a television depiction, where everything is always perfect and problems are resolved easily and quickly. Georgia, at the end of the book still has issues unresolved, which is just another tool Rennison uses to drag you into her next novel. Besides her awesome use of dialogue Rennison uses British English. I found the dictionary in the back or all the words she either made up, or found out to be not only funny, but useful as well. Her use of words such as, "knobs, stroppy, poxy, and prat" makes the book ten times funnier. Just the sound of some of her diction is enough to make you giggle. Naturally, I'm not a big fan of reading, but the way Rennison tells Georgia's story, I couldn't help but love it. The book was great, it doesn't really have a huge story line, but neither does life, and that is just another one of its hilarious qualities. I liked the book, and I agree with a quote on the back of the book made by Seventeen Magazine, "Hysterically funny. You might want to refrain from reading this one in public." This statement about sums it up. The book is so funny, that you may get some strange looks when you are laughing out loud while reading a book with such a funky title. Overall, "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging- Confessions of Georgia Nicolson" is a great read! Any girl would love it! Hope you enjoyed it, or do enjoy it as much as I did!
Rating: Summary: YES! A female Adrian Mole for the new millenium! Review: Georgia Nicolson is NOT Bridget Jones -- she's far wittier, spunkier, and more hilarious as she lives the life of a 14-year-old going to school with her various girl friends. (Angus is her huge half-Scottish wildcat of a pet.) She is in love with Robbie aka The Sex God, who works with his brother Tom in the family fruit and veg store. Tom likes her friend Jas. Robbie is dating desperate Lindsay with the sticky-out ears. Her Mom and Dad get on her nerves with their pointlessness. Her 3-year-old sister Libby calls her "bad boy". She gets into tons of trouble at school. She hates her nose, and her friends scored it 6 1/3 out of 10 when they rated each other for skin, face, figure, etc. On and on and on .....It's just great! Completely reminds me of being 14 and what was important then, and how everything was a drama but had the potential to be important enough to be a hilarious diary entry. I laughed out loud so much -- be careful if you read this on public transportation! But it sure makes your day seem so much better as you think "that boring meeting at work --- how would Georgia write about it in her diary?" Something like "Honestly, there is no point in being alive today", no doubt! Can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Rating: Summary: A 7th Grader Review: I love this book! It is really funny and interesting for anyone who likes to laugh. The other two in the series are very good as well, but this one is funnier than the others. Georgia is a very fun character who is a fourteen year old living in England with her Mom, who is crazy and runs around the house half naked borrowing Georgias make-up, her Dad, who has the biggest nose known to humanity and loves house work but botches every attempt, and her sister, Libby, who means well but has many difficulties. This book is Georgia's diary and in it, she explains everything about her life such as school, makeup, boys, friends and everything else! So, if you are looking for a funny read, pick up this book and you will be glad that you did.
Rating: Summary: Angus, Thongs Full-Frontal Snogging Review: This is a wounderful book about a girl and her teenage life. The author Louise Rennison wrote this book in diary form. The reader learns about her life and deep secrets. The story takes place in England from the life of a thirteen year old.The story has alot of funny things in it. Like her psycho cat, that wont them out of the room its gaurding. She has a cute little sister and a big crush. Her plot in the story is to break Robbie (her crush) and Lindsey (his girlfriend). In the end somthing cool happens. But you'll have to read the book to see.
