Rating: Summary: A great book that you can't put down. Review: This is a funny story about a confused British teen in a strange family. The story gets more interesting as Adrian grows more desperate. I also recommend the other Adrian Mole books. I liked this book because Adrian solves his problems in funny ways. His stories about his love, family, school, poetry and life are hilarious. If you want a book that makes you laugh, this is definitely a good one!
Rating: Summary: One of the most humourous books ever put onto print. Review: When I was a kid, I read all of the Adrian Mole diaries and was amazed at how Sue Townsend has analysed the teenage mind. She has mixed everyday teenage problems with laugh-out-load humour. When reading the book you discover Adrian Moles whole life from his parents to his relationship with his sweetheart Pandora. This book is a masterpiece and will be for years to come.
Rating: Summary: Adrian makes me really think and laugh. Review: Adrian feels at times he is not wanted in the world. Some of his thoughts are histarical. I would advise everyone to read it. The unike two in one volume is very handy to the people who want to keep reading about Adrian! Some of it can be devastating but most laugh-out-loud funny! When little Rosie is brought into the book, things change for Adrian. He even decides to join Berry Kent's gang! Running away was also a not-so-good idea.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding book about the life of a teenager Review: Adrian Mole gives you a look at the hard life of a teenager and all about discovering things and adjusting to growing up.
Rating: Summary: A BOOK EVERYONE WILL WANT TO READ!! Review: This book is by far one of the best books I have read. I have never have read such a book with vivid details of a persons everyday life. When I finished the book I wanted to laugh and cry. It truly touched me. I know that teenagers everywhere can relate to it in some way. Though, Adrian Mole was a fictional character I felt in some way that I was connected to him and his inner thoughts and feelings. The book was truly fantasic!!!
Rating: Summary: Genius! Review: This is a wonderful book. It is, and should be, mandatory reading for all boys (and girls) and come to think of it, adults everywhere. Adrian is a classic character we can all relate to. This will be taught in our schools in years to come. I wish all Americans could have seen the brilliant ITV television show based on the book.
Rating: Summary: Tremendously Funny!! Review: This bokk is very funny! The fact that this book is made up, and it's not really a real dairy, is great! I bet that some of this stuff really does happen in real life. That's how realistic this book is.
Rating: Summary: Adrian Mole is a real intellctual!!! Review: This book is one of favorite books of my friend. So I wondered what the book is like. I tried reading it. So I realized that it is the funniest and the most sensitive adolescent story. Just buy it,you'll never regret!!
Rating: Summary: Hilarious!!!! Review: This book is by far one of the best books I have read. It is indeed amazing how an adult can still look at this world through the innocent and at times unique perspective of Adrian Mole. A classic!
Rating: Summary: This is not only for young adults. Review: I read this the first time at age 55. I took it over to my neighbor (she was 62). I sat on my porch and listened to her laugh for a couple hours. She took it to another neighbor whose daughter was sick in bed. She read it to her daughter and I could hear them laughing two houses away. It's a wonderful book. You wouldn't want to live next door to Adrian, but he's has a special insight into the peculiar intricacies of life which truly will lighten your day. If you're depressed, don't pass it up. I read 2-3 books a week and this is on my list to re-read again and again.
