Rating: Summary: they are great Review: The Immortals Quartet are really good books, but I thought that "Wolfspeaker" was a bit boring. I would definately recommend them.
Rating: Summary: you get so hooked on these books!!!! Review: The reason I read the immortals series was because one afternoon I felt like reading and I thought I'd read a horse book or something and so I looked in my sister's room for a good book. And it turns out she was lying on the bed so I asked her for a good book and she pointed out the immortals. and I said ok I'd read them and so I did but once I was halfway down the first page I was hooked I couldn't put it down except for sleep food and the necessary things(just kidding I watched a bit of TV in between). And after I finished that series I had to read the lioness also which was also excellent but I like the immortals better. But what I want to share with the public that this book is wildfire it is the next Harry potter that's how good it is!!!!
Rating: Summary: the next set of books in the world of Tortall Review: These books introduce a new heroine named Daine. She has the unusual gift of "wild magic", allowing her to speak with, and eventually, turn into animals. During this time in Tortall (the country where the books take place), Carthaki mages (Tortall's enemy) have opened up a portal to the Realms of the Gods and allowed "immortals", creatures who cannot die unless killed (as in they cannot die of old age) and who inhabited the earth thousands of years ago, to enter the realm of the living (i think thats what its called-just earth). These are Daine's adventures as she learns to control her wild magic, falls in love, and helps save Tortall. This takes place after Song of the Lioness (Alanna and others make appearances) so you should really read those before this quartet. People who love/ just like fantasy will enjoy these books, and people who like animals will love these also. I didnt like them quite as much as Song of the Lioness of Protector of the Small (the next quartet) but I stilled liked them A LOT! They're still up there in my favorite books list. My fav in this series is probably Emperor Mage.
Rating: Summary: One word - WOW Review: This book is my favorite of all of Tamora Pierce's series. You'll never believe the outcome. She makes no indication of what's about to happen - it's an exciting read!
Rating: Summary: Awesome :) Review: This box set includes the four books that compound Tamora Pierce's "The Immortals" series: "Wild Magic", "Wolf-Speaker", Emperor Mage" and "The Realms of the Gods". If you like fantasy books and haven't been lucky enough to read other books written by Pierce you will discover a great new author. But if you are already a fan of the author, I can assure you something: these books won't change your opinion of her skills. In a way, it is more of the same, with a different plot, but lots of adventure, magic, humour and action. "The Immortals" is also set in Pierce's Tortall, and if you have read her "Song of the Lioness" series you will have the possibility of meeting old friends again, for example Alanna, George, King Jonathan and Queen Thayet, Raoul and Duke Gareth. Notwithstanding that, there are also new characters, the most important one being Daine, an orphan girl who is 13 years old and can communicate with animals, because she has "Wild magic". As we read the books, we go along with her in her long and difficult journey to master her skills, and make peace with what and who she is. Her teacher will be a powerful mage, Numair, and her friends a large number and sometimes a little strange, because due to her powers she isn't confined to make friends among the "two-leggers". One of the advantages of buying the box set is that by doing so you can have all the books at hand, thus being able to start another book as soon as you finish the previous one without having to run to buy it. And believe me, you will enjoy them so much that is highly likely that you would do exactly that, if you were to buy them one by one. Moreover, buying them in the box set is cheaper :) I started reading Tamora Pierce when I was 12, but I still read many of her books from time to time, even though I am quite a bit older now. The reason?. Pierce's books are great for teens, but some adults also enjoy them. I guess it is more or less what happens with Harry Potter's books, loved by children, teens and adults that have young hearts. All in all, I highly recommend these books, as enjoyable reading material that will make you smile. Enjoy them !!! Belén
Rating: Summary: I love numair! Review: this is by far better than the other books in this series and this series is amazing!!! i was so happy that Daine and Numair FINALLY hooked up!!!! i was waiting for that. this book is recomended to any girl fantisy lover.it is amazing that someone can write a book that is so good. the only downfall in the whole series is that it ends to soon. Tamora Pierce REALLY needs to write another book for this series!!!!!!! it just ends to soon and the best book in the series is the shortest!!
