Summary: My Dairy
Review: What my mother doesn't know is any girls dairy. I began reading this book in my first period class and my thrid period I finish it. I laughed and almost cried. I have read this book more than once. I loved the way the book was written in different poems. I felt like I connect with Sophie the second i opened the book. This book is perfect for anyone.

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: About 31/2 stars actually. I liked the book (or, journal, I suppose you could call it) being written in poems. That aspect made the book get a bit higher of a rating. I didn't like, however, the plot. I guess it was written to give girls more confidence or, to oppose conformity or... something, but the story line was weak and obvious. There are some parts that left me feeling very sorry for Sophie (the narrator of the "book"). Most of these parts are when she describes how her mother doesn't really do anything or care about her. However, despite the weak plot, I, literally, could not put the book down. I started reading it, and didn't put it down until I was finished, an hour later. I suppose that's a good aspect of the story. Anyway, this is good if you're just looking for a quick, easy read. It's not thought-provoking or anything. It's just a regular teenage book, which basically has the same plot as all the rest of them do.

Summary: [Read this book and you won't be dissapointed]
Review: I read this book a few days ago and it was one of the BEST books I've EVER read! I started reading it, and since it was for silent reading at school, I wanted to pace myself so that I wouldn't need to get a new book soon...but I couldn't help it. I just kept flipping each page after the next. The first time I sat down to read it, I got to around the 66th page. The next time I sat down to read it, I finished all 276 pages!!
This book, in a nutshell, made me laugh out loud and get tears in my eyes at one pont. This book is about a girl named Sophie who is in high school and is going out with a guy named Dylan, who she is very much in love with. After a while of going out with him, she meets Chaz online and falls for him...but she's still with Dylan! She starts loosing interest in Dylan and soon finds out what a disgusted pervert this Chaz guy is. There's a guy named Murphy in her art class that no one even thinks about...like that. But for some reason, she wants to KISS him! She and Murphy hang out and become good friends. When he asks her out on a DATE, Sophie tells Murphy that she just wants to be friends...but is that how she really feels??
This book is such a GREAT book and if you are a teenage girl, READ THIS BOOK...NO QUESTION!! I usually DON'T like reading. But I couldn't even help myself in this case. Read it, you'll find out what I'm talking about. It's not even really 276 pages long. Each page is written like a poem so you're flipping through those pages really fast. Buy it or borrow it from a friend and see what I'm talking about!

Summary: Touching and Funny
Review: "What My Mother Doesn't Know" is an honest, sometimes painfully honest, heartfelt rendering of the romantic life of a young teenage girl. I was totally wrapped up in Sophie's amorous adventures, her journey to self-awareness, and her eventual triumph over peer pressure and the conventional thinking of her friends. The scenes between Sophie and her parents are accutely observed. The writing is concise and evocative. A must read!

Summary: My Mother Doesn't Know Either
Review: I absolutely adored this book and I was completley torn when I finished it because I wanted more, more , more! I loved the style in which Sonya Sones wrote her poetry which is very similar to how I write my own poetry. Forget a formal format and just tell a little story. I loved hearing about Sophie and her friends Rachel and Grace and all of the trouble they would get into (especially the raincoat incident). It reminded me of some of the absolutely crazy things that my friends and I did which I don't think I can tell you here.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to laugh out loud in recognition fo their own lives and also to anyone who thinks they hate poetry. They might just find that they love it.

Summary: don't be fooled!
Review: I had seen this book online so many times, constantly getting great reviews and recommended. But the cover just looked so.. blah. And it was in poetry and I HATE poetry.. But when I was in Borders one day, it had a new cover! One that was much more appealing. However it was still in poetry.. but it was SO GOOD. Sophie is a freshman, getting constant crushes and, in the end, a great realization that what's on the inside counts so much more than what's on the outside. I loved Sloppy Firsts, by Meghan McCafferty, and now I love What My Mother Doesn't Know, after a few months of denial.. READ IT!

Summary: A must read for ALL teen girls!
Review: This book was so good that I read it in a day! What suprised me most about the book was that the whole thing was written in poetry, which made it so interesting to read! And just becuase it's written in poetry form, doesn't mean it won't make sense or anything, it actually makes perfect sense and I understood it better than most books I read that aren't writtten in poetry.

My favorite thing about the book was that it wasn't about anything too extroadinary or amazing, it was just about a really cool girl and her life. Some parts made me think how in the world the author knew about being a girl! I wanted to say out loud, oh my god I did the same thing, or ya I know I feel that way too sometimes! I felt like during some parts I was reading about my life.

If you're thinking about getting this book, definitly get it because you won't regret reading it!

Summary: What My Mother Doesn't Know
Review: I would highly recommend this book to all young female readers. This book is so easy to relate to that it makes reading it almost like a walk down memory lane. The events are so realistic and so typical that the book is great for adults too. Being completely written in poem format, makes the reading even more interesting.

Summary: What my mother doesn't know
Review: I highly recommend this book to young girls. noht only is this book about a 15 year old girl in high school trying to find a high school and the difference between love and lust, but she is trying to find the inner her and what kind of guy she would be compatable with. She has to go through many heartaches. She is a yuong girl trying to find herself like many of us young girls in high school are trying to do. I think this book really just relates to most of us and for those that it relates to will find this book very interesting and hard to put down. This book was written in poem sequence so therefore once you start you can't stop. I really liked this book and i think you would too. If you get a chance check it out!
