Rating: Summary: An awsome book Review: I am about to turn 15 and at the time i bought this book, it was for a friend because i thought she would like an average teen girl book. I ended up keeping the book because i started reading it and couldn't stop! Let me tell you, this book is anything but an average teen girl book. It turns out that i could relate to it so much because i had recently been wondering about love (since many of my friends are starting to experience it) and if it would ever come my way. This book let me realize that if you wait, good things will come and that great things come unexpectedly. I love that it was written in poetry form. It made the book so much more original. Its probably the book that i have read that seems the most realistic in terms of relating to a teenage girls life. I lent it to several of my friends and they devoured it in less than an hour , as well as read it several times. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is confused when it comes to love or for anyone who is looking for a short, quality read, no matter what age. I look forward to buying other books written by Sonya Sones.
Rating: Summary: ughhhhh Review: This was a really boring, easy, stupid book that is definetely ripped off from all the other (original) teen girl books out there. It's in 'poetry' so what would be one paragraph in a regular book is like five pages in this book. also, the main character (can't even remember her name) is self-centered, annoying, and tries to make us feel sorry for her with all her 'problems'. bottom line: 40 minutes of my life wasted.
Rating: Summary: Really Great Read Review: I really enjoyed this book! I am 14 years old and I have read this book more than 5 times! What My Mother Doesn't Know is good the first time, and also for when you're inbetween books, and don't really know exactly what you want to read. I would definitely recommend What My Mother Doesn't Know to anyone who ever felt like what their mind wants isn't exactly what their head wants.
Rating: Summary: Blurblett Review: Even though I read this book in one sitting of three hours, it was generally a good book, if not short.I don't think this is inappropriate for anyone under 15 at all. I'd draw the line at 12 years old, depending on how mature the reader is. You have to put yourself in the mindset of the reader if you're someone who is 'older' and lost their teen muse. The book itself was enjoyable, if not a bit fairytale-ish. Short, and the format was definitely different, but that was a good break from the normal margin-to-margin script, eh?
Rating: Summary: A Good Teen Book For Girls. Review: This is a good book,I think that it is a little inappropriate at times , but it is enjoyiable.

Rating: Summary: A Great Read! Review: What My Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones is definitely a book for teens and young adults to read. The moods that Sophie goes through are so true and down to life! Everyone has romances in life, but in most cases it's the first ones that you remember. It's truly amazing how all of the emotions are so strong from the first words to the last ones. Sophie's fantasy about kissing hot guys is one that many teenage girls have. This book really focuses on passion, strong emotions, and reality. I absolutely loved Sonya's metaphors though out the book. Such as, "Tears, usually I can feel them coming, feel them swirling in my chest like a swarm of angry bees." I can relate to that particular quote the most. It has happened to me many times before. Every time that I feel tears coming, my body can really sense it, almost as if it has a tear sensor or something. I loved Sonya's poem "I hate her!" Because it talks about her and her mom fighting and who doesn't fight with their mom as teenagers? When ever my mom and I fight, all that runs through my head is how much I hate her and wish for her to be gone. Then when she stays out of my life, I kind of miss her. I like how Sophie has those thoughts of why she just did what she did. It's so realistic that it gave me the chills. The feeling was there the whole book. I could relate to this book almost as if it were I who wrote it! While reading it I thought about my past "loves" and how I handled the situation. It was sort of like the way Sophie did it. This book is truly charming, passionate, heart warming, realistic, and down to earth as can be!
Rating: Summary: A must read! Review: What My Mother Doesn't Know is one of my all time favorite books. Any girl can connect with Sophie whether she is her age or once was. She gets mixed up in a whirlwind confusion between three loves. She goes through all the troubles of growing up that everyone can connect to. It is an awesome book and a must read!
Rating: Summary: A Great Book Review: This book is a great story of what a lot of girls can relate to. I didn't want to put this book down because it just made me want to not stop. Like it seemed like i felt as if i have known her and that i understood how she felt. I felt the same emotions as her when she was nervous to tell her friends that she liked Murphy, I was also nervous. It is funny how she talks about her three loves. When she was in love with the kid from the internet i thought it was pretty funny. She practically obsessed over him. Sophie learns the difference between seeing whats on the inside rather than seeing the outside appearance. She also learns the difference between lust and love. She stresses over finding the perfect boyfriend, but then she discovers that it is more important to be accepted by yourself then by others. Which makes her very happy. I really like how Sonya Sones explaines in just a few words, but says so much like it is really bold how she puts it. I like the form the book is written in. It is much easier to read that way and it makes you be like, well i can finish this book fast, so you want to read it all the way through.
Rating: Summary: What My Mother Doesn't Know Review: I was offended that this book is written for 12 year olds and up. I don't think any mother would want her preteen, or teenager reading this book. It is extremely inappropriate for the lead character to be involved in any of the dating activities or internet conversations that were portrayed in the book. I know that as a mother of 2 teenage girls, I do not want them to think that what this girl was doing, or feeling is what they should be doing at this age. And we wonder why our teenage girls are becoming sexually active at a much younger age.
