Summary: I thought it was Awesome
Review: This is a book I just thought was Awesome. I mean that I had fun reading it but at the same time I also could feel like I could relate to exactly what she was feeling. It is like reading someone's private thoughts the same way as in the book My Fractured Life which I also think is so awesome.

Summary: better than i anticipated
Review: I honestly expected not to like this book, finding the information on the jacket a bit drab. I have also come to dread books written as poems - too trendy! However, I really enjoyed a few of the poems Sones wrote on their own, apart from the story. What was most incredible to me was the resourcefulness and the strength Sophie showed - can't imagine going on a day vacation alone at that age! I thought it was a great departure from the Gossip Girl/Angus Thong series. The book could definitely have been improved by adding a few more poems describing, say, the week following what is the final episode in the story.

Summary: a change of heart
Review: This was a great book! At first the only reason i read it was because i had to do a school project and my librarian (also my book club leader) really wanted me to read it. But a few poems in i was hooked! I would recomend this book for everyone of all ages. The only problem i see with it is that guys might not like it!

Summary: very good
Review: definitely a good quick read (only 1 hour). its cute and quirky and good with the mother daughter issues though it is not mentioned in the descriptions. A tad bit too sappy and sweet, though.

Summary: Very fun to read!
Review: This book was very interesting because of how it was written...in poem form. When I first saw it I thought it would be stupid and I didn't expect too much out of it.

I read the whole book in about one hour and I could definately not put it down, some people gave it some negative comments because they thought it didn't have very strong ideas and thoughts in it or taught us anything but I think that was exactly the point. It's an easy book to read and it's fun, sometimes it's good to read different books because if all you read is the same old stuff it gets boring, this book stands out in my list of books I have read because of the writing style.

If you're looking for somehting to teach you life lessons and give indepth information about what it's like to be a teenager you will not find it in this book, but you will find a very fun book that's easy to read and you will always remember certain things in it just because it's also funny.

Summary: Teen Perspective
Review: This book is a great book for teens and preteens, however this book is meant for mature readers. The main chatacter, Sophie, goes through many of the same embarrasing, emotional, and heart throbbing events that many teen girls go through. One of the reasons why I liked this book so much is because its so down to Earth. Yes, in real life parents get in huge arguments, and in real life girls have crushes in boys that already have girlfriends. Sophie is a teen, and her mind, body, and her heart can't agree on anything, like most teens. Another reason why I enjoyed this book is becuase the book is written in poems. Sometimes the poems get annoying but its a break from every other book. The poems are not actually poems. This is a book you can read over and over.

Summary: Good Grief
Review: I did not like this book at all. The setup was annoying, it takes 1 hour to read, and it gives you a lame message that everyone has already heard of. This book is like the first building block to writing a good novel for teens, except it has no comdey, depth, or an interesting plot. I would recomend this book to slow readers who are just begining to enjoy books, but for everyone else, I must say.....Run away from this book!

Summary: It Took the Words Right Out Of My Mouth
Review: GREAT BOOK! Sophie, the main character, relates to me so much that it seems I actually wrote the book. It teaches you that break-ups work for the better and you never know when you'll fall in love.

Summary: What is all the hype about?
Review: This book is selling like crazy and all of my friends had read it and absolutely loved it, so I decided to read it too, just to see what all the hype was about. I must say I was pretty disappointed. I read the whole book in about an hour or two, and I got nothing out of it, the whole plot is pretty lame in general. It just seemed to lack the depth and [true to teen life] perspective that other popular teen books have these days. Some people liked the poem format, but I for one found it just annoying and distracting. It took away from the plot in my opinion. In general, the book seemed like a waste of time.
