Review: Hi, I liked this book because I think Bud went through a lot of trouble and pain and it shows people what life is like for people who run away and are homeless. The book is about a boy named Bud that lived in a home because his mom died and his dad was gone. He runs away to find his father and goes through a lot of trouble along the way. So if I were you, I would go get this book today and read it because everyone I know who read it loved it!

Summary: Review- Bud, not Buddy
Review: When I first picked up this book, I thought it would be about a boy who goes out west, but that is not at all what it is about! I really enjoyed this fictional book and I'm sure anyone else would too!! Christopher Paul Curtis has put out a captivating book about a boy named Bud (he can't stand being called Buddy) who is an orphan. He gets sent to live with a family that has a twelve year old son. The boy is a lot bigger and when they get into a fight he of course wins. He then blames Bud and his parents believe him. They resolve to send him back, on his last night there he is forced to sleep in the shed where there are dead fish and mosquitoes. What's more they steal his suitcase. Will he escape? Will he get his suitcase back? Can he get to Chicago to find the man he thinks is his father? To find out, you need to read this book. I really liked this book because it is very engaging and it turns out completely different than you expect. I would give this book 5 stars. It is a great piece of literature and very fun to read!!!
