Rating: Summary: One of my favorate books! Review: The quality of this book was excelent! It's a real classic. Very unsusepting! Where Sal finds her Mother in the end was devistating! How Creech leed up to it was adventageous. It was like two stories in one!
Rating: Summary: Liked a lot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Walk Two Moons was an awsome book. It kept me on my toes, and I just couldn't put it down. It is a creative idea for a book. This is my favorite book, and I have read it three times!
Rating: Summary: Walk Two Moons was an excellent book that everyone will like Review: I liked this realistic fiction book very much. Sal told a great story while in the car with her grandparents. The story unraveled as they were on their trip to Louisiana to see Sal's mom. Everyone would enjoy this book because it is an adventurious book. Once you start reading it, you can't stop! When you finish a chapter, you are so curious that you have to read the next chapter!
Rating: Summary: Sal travels across the country to find her mother. Review: As a future teacher, I read this book to see how I could teach it to 6-9 grade students. I fell in love with the book. It at first may be hard to get involved in. It soon becomes very interesting. There is a lot of foreshadowing and flashbacks in the story. It has a interesting way of showing frienship, death, traveling in the United States, and the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren. A GREAT BOOK FOR ANY AGE!!!
Rating: Summary: A Great Book!! Review: I loved this book!! It was truly a fine piece of writing. My teacher read it to the class, and the whole class loved it. The beginning was a little slow, but it got a lot better. I have read this book three times and probably will read it many more times.
Rating: Summary: A great book for someone who likes surpises Review: This is a great story about a 13 year old girl named Salamanca Tree Hiddle. While riding in the car with her funny grandparents Sal is talking about her friend, Phoebe Winterbottom. Phoebe keeps getting misterios notes on her doorsteps. I recommend this book for anyone who likes surprises
Rating: Summary: Walk Two Moons Review Review: In this book, thirteen year old Salamanca Tree Hiddle is traveling to Idaho with her grandparents to find her mother who is resting peacefully in Lewiston. Before Sal's mother left, Sal and her parents lived in Bybanks, Kentucky. When Sal's mother left, Sal and her father moved to the town of Euclid, Ohio. In Euclid, Sal made friends with Phoebe Winterbottom, whose mother also disappeared. To entertain her grandparents on the trip, Sal told Phoebe's story, and behind it, like a fireplace behind a plaster wall, lies her own. I like this book because the author keeps the plot moving and has the funny parts countering the sad. I also like how she ties all the loose ends togeather at the end.
Rating: Summary: An excellent book for someone who likes surprises! Review: This book is a great story about a girl named Sal. She has a friend named Phoebe who keeps finding mysterious messages on her doorstep and whose mother disappears. One thing I really like about this story is that it's a story within a story. Sal is telling the story of Phoebe while she is stuck in the car for a week with her grandparents. The grandparents are very funny. They prevent the story from getting too boring. I would hightly recommend this book to anyone who likes big surprises.
Rating: Summary: Sharon Creech has great ideas! Review: I thought this book was great! I liked Phoebe's charactor a lot, because she was always scared and over-reacted on small things. My favorite charactors were Gram and Gramps, because they kept on calling Phoebe "Peeby." Everything at the end was a surprise to me. This book is about a girl named Salamanca, traveling with her Grandparents to Idaho to see her mother. This book has great adventures in it and great caricatures. You will never want to put this book down because there's a cliff-hanger after every chapter. My fifth grade read the book together. It was a lot of fun. We all got really into it.
Rating: Summary: Walk Two Moons Review: "Walk Two Moons" was an excellent book about thirteen year old Salamanca Tree Hiddle on a car trip with her grandparents in search of her mother, who left her father and her. Sharon Creech's words painted a picture in the reader's mind. On the trip, Sal tells her story and behind hers there's Phoebe's story. This book was wonderfully written and I recommend it to readers of all ages. I would gladly read it again. This book was a little corny. It seemed as if Sharon Creech ran all out of good ideas and just wanted it to end. I hope Sharon Creech writes a sequel or a prequel to this great book.
