Summary: Walk Two Moons
Review: I liked the style of writing in the book Walk Two Moons. It was different, creative, and inventive, giving it a good texture and making it interesting because i have never read anything like it before. I also liked how the blind old woman could "see". I thought it was cool how she could tell how old Phoebe was and how she knew the people by their shape and smell. Not only that, but she could see with her heart, as well as her senses. Her good advice to Phoebe's family greatly impacted Salamanca.

Summary: Unusual Novel
Review: The book "Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech is about a thirteen- year old girl named Salamanca (Sal) Hiddle and how she deals with her mother's death. She goes on a trip with her grandparents to see her mother's grave and tells them the story of her friend Phoebe and her troubles. In Phoebe's story, Sal finds her own. The story jumps between the trip, Phoebe's story, and Sal's past.

This book is unlike so many others because it has a deep meaning. Many of the seemingly simple sections are very complex when you look at them thoroughly. I enjoyed the story very much. I read ahead in class it was so good. I especially liked the character development and detail. I highly recommend that you read this book.

Summary: Intresting Book with Odd Plot
Review: "Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech is a very well writen book with a wonderful plot. The main character, thirteen year old Salamanca Hiddle (Sal for short) must overcome the sadness of her mother leaving her. They are three stories put together in one, the first is the story of Pheobe and the "lunatic", the second about Gram and Gramps trip with her on the same route her mother had taken when she left, and the third about Sal's feelings about everything. Traveling from Bybanks, Kentucky to Lewiston, Idaho they visit many interesting places like the Badlands and Old Faithful to help Sal to get over the sadness about her mother.

I thought that "Walk Two Moons" was a very well written book and I enjoyed its deep meaning. My favorite part was the whole story of Phoebe and the "lunatic". It was suspenseful and surprising with many unseen twists and turns. I reccomend this book for anyone above the age of twelve because it has a very deep meaning and plot and it deals with puberty. So all in all, I believe "Walk Two Moons" was a very good book.

Summary: This is is a good book
Review: The book, Walk Two Moons, is a great book. It is about a girl named Sal driving to Lewiston, Idaho with her grandparents to visit her mom. On the way, she tells the story of her friend Phoebe and she deal with her mother's disappearance. After a trip across America, she reaches Lewiston where she deals with her mom's death. She returns to Bybanks, her home, to live with her father and grandfather. I liked this book because Sal has great adventures. One of things I enjoyed were the messages from the story like,"You can't keep the birds of sadness from flighing over your head' but you can keep them from nesting in your hair."

Summary: Great Book!!!
Review: Walk Two Moons is a story about a thirteen-year-old girl named Salamanca Hiddle traveling to Lewiston, Idaho with her grandparents, in search of her mother. While on the road, Sal entertains her grandparents with her story of her and her friend, Pheobe, in Euclid, Ohio. The story includes adventures of their trip. They eventually stop in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho to get Sal's grandmother to a hospital. Unable to wait to get to Lewiston, Sal drove from Coeur d' Alene to Lewiston. After her long journey she arrived in Lewiston to find her mother's grave. When she returned to Coeur d' Alene, she soon learned her grandmother died of a stroke. In the end Sal learns to live with the fact that her mother is gone, and goes home to Bybanks, Kentucky to live with her father and grandfather.

Walk Two Moons was a great book. The events that happened in it were all very exciting and made you want to read on. The characters were a little unrealistic but thats what makes the book so entertaining. I enjoyed the way all the problems occured and how they were solved. This is a book that everyone must read.

Review: Thirteen year old, Salamanca Tree Hiddle's mother disappeared. The story is about Sal following in her mom's footsteps with her Gramps and Grams, while telling them the story of her move to Euclid, Ohio and of her new friend,Pheobe Winterbottom. Phoebe had similar problems that Sal had. Phoebe's mom also went away but came back. Sal's goal in this book is to get over the fact that her mom is gone, and not coming back, and go on with her life.

The book Walk Two Moons was a fabulous book. I liked all the problems that always seemed to occur out of nowhere. The characters were all very unique and had their own way of looking at things. I would recommend this book to kids my age. The story has many complicated parts, but always end up to be very exciting.

Summary: My students loved this book!!
Review: I teach a 5th/6th combination class and my students adored this book!!! They found the dueling tales and exploits of Salamanca Tree Hiddle and Phoebe Winterbottom most captivating. The Native American heroine and her tale(s) held my class captive. It was a great emotion filled story that taught my students how people deal with loss and more importantly, hope. I Highly recommend this novel for any elementary school teacher. Your students will learn a lot about loss, love, family and hope.
