This book was a page turner and had many indepth messages. Walk Two Moons is about Salamanica Hiddle on a journay to visit har mother in Idaho. Sal wanted to bring her mother back to Bybanks,Kentucky before her birthday. On the trip to Idaho with her gradparents, Sal tells of the misfortune of her friend Phoebe Winterbottom. Sal might run into her own problems but that is for everyone who hasn't read this book to find out. Walk Two Moons is an exellent book and has great messages. I highly recommend this book!
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I have read! Review: This book is an excellent book that I have read many times. It is a great story about life, death, courage, and friendship. It is good for all ages with an excellent plot. You can not tell what is coming next. This book is very heart warming and everyone should read it. The five stars are well deserved and it will make your day a little bit brighter.
Rating: Summary: emotional roller-coaster Review: Even tho this book is rated for 9-12 year olds--as a grandmother, I read all the books I give to my granddaughters. There are actually 3 stories going on at the same time. I laughed all the way through --at the slightly daffy grandparents and the strange friend of the heroine. The 13 yr.old along with her friend do a little detective snooping to find out who is the town 'lunatic'. I was very surprised to find myself bawling my eyes out at the ending. Every teen should be allowed to appreciate this author's style.
Rating: Summary: This book rocks!!! Review: This book is sooo good.Salamanca Tree Hiddle is this thirteen year old girl, and her mother leaves her, so her and her dad move to Ohio. In Ohio weird things happen like notes being left at the door and people named Mrs Cadaver. A lot of questions come up and at the end everything is unraveled...and its not what you expect.
Rating: Summary: Walking To the Moon--and back! Review: In my 7th grade english class this year we read Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, along with several other well chosen books meant for adolescants. Every year we read the same kinds of books. Some novels all written the same way, with the one story told throughout the book, started at the beginning, and ended at the end. Walk two moons is NOT like that. Unlike every other book, this story starts in the middle, weaving through the beginning, the end, plummeting to the beginning, skipping to the middle, until the end. I know that what i just said wasnt correct "gramatically", but there is no other way to put it. This book was great. A story under a story, under a story. Though this book only has 2 moons, it has five stars--from me. at least!!! -abby
Rating: Summary: Sal tells her story through her friend's story. Review: Salmanca Tree Hiddle (Sal) has lived in Bybanks, Kentucky all of her life. One day her family (her father and her) move to Euclid,Ohio. Sal's dad says that his mother haunts him at their old house (as she has died), and that some day they would return to Bybanks. Sal feels strange and lost in Ohio, until she meets a girl named Phoebe, a boy named Ben and his sister Mary Lou. Sal's mother said she needed some time to find herself and left the house alone for a while when she was alive. Phoebe's mother appears to be doing the same thing. Sal tries to explain it too Phoebe, but Phoebe won't listen to any such thing. Sal and Phoebe have a very close friendship and through Phoebe's story, Sal learns her own. Told on the trip that Sal and her grandparents took on the route that Sal's mother went, this book was very interesting and kept me turning page after page.

Rating: Summary: Walking The Two Moons Review: I really enjoyed reading this thrilling, excitinng, yet tear dropping novel. Walk Two Moons was one of the best books that I've ever read. In this book there are different layers of stories. The first layer was of the car trip with Sal & her grandparents. The second layer was Pheobe's story. Sal's story was the third layer. This book was very happy in the beginning when Sal went on the road trip with her grandparents, but sad, and depresing in the end. I found this book to be interesting, but funny in parts. Pheobe was my favorite character because of her wild sence of paranoia. This book was the greatest book that combines sadness, laughter, and excitment into one great book.
