If your interested in a book that happens to be very bad smelling and sad this is a great one. It all starts out with the three Baudelaire children going to live with their uncle Montgomery Montgomery because their parents died in a house fire.
On their way to his house they are traveling on a road called Lousy lane which smells like horse radish. At his house they learn a lot of new things, but when they realize that Count Olaf has found them ,they have to worrie about saving there lives and one more life!
I think this book is very good and unpredictable.

Summary: The Reptile Room
Review: The Reptile Room the second book in The Series of Unfortunate Events. It is a continuation of the unfortionate events that the three Bauldelaire Children have had.
The Baudelaire Children once again were moving. they were moving to their, father's cousin's wife's brother, Dr.Montgomery. They called him Uncle Monty. He was a sweet gentalman who had a kind heart. He is a herpetologists(a person who studys reptiles).
One day Uncle Monty gets a new assistant to help on his next trip,to find more reptile specimens. When the children meet him they see the eye tatoo on the left ankle. the same exact one that was on Count Olaf's ankle. They imediately were terrified to know that Count Olaf found them. They tried to confront Uncle monty but he was to caught up in his work to listen.
If you want to find out what happend to the Baldelaire children and Uncle Monty Read The Reptile Room By Lemony Snicket.
I would rate this book with 5 stars Because it is one of the best books i have ever read.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK!
Review: This is one of the best books i've ever read.
It is about the 3 unlucky Baudelaire children Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. They are sent to live with their Uncle Montgomery Montgomery. Uncle Monty is a nice man who really cares for the Baudelaire children. He is a professor who studies snakes. Uncle Monty hires a professor named Stephano to be his assistant when they travel off to Peru to study snakes. Stephano is a very strange man. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny suspect really weird things about him, like hes someone else they met earlier. Who could it be and is "Stephano" really disguised?

Summary: Read, Read, READ!!!
Review: It is quite possible that this is the best book in the Series! It picks up where "The Bad Beginning" left off. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire, three orphans with HORRIBLE luck, are sent to live with their cousin Montgomery Montgomery. Montgomery, or Uncle Monty, as he's called in the book, is a herpetologist. (A play on Monty Python if you couldn't tell) When the kids come to live with him things start looking good. They're taken care of, and they get to meet the many reptiles living in the house with them. One of those reptiles is the Incredibly Deadly Viper, a snake that only Monty knows about. Just when everything starts looking up, disaster strikes. The person the orphans dread most finds them. This is a great read. You'll just have to find out what happens to the Baudelaires on your own!! Hope you enjoy this book, and I hope this helped you out.

Summary: A dazzling book with razzle-dazzle characters!
Review: This book, the most jolly of all eight so far, is quite a good one. The way Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler) lays out the mystery is quite amazing. The way it's solved is even more. Violet, Klaus and Sunny are fresh-born in A Series of Unfortunate Events and so aren't that used to "switching domiciles" they are a bit weak at first, but gain such a strength that even when they are most threatened by Stephano (Count Olaf) they prove that they are invincible in every aspect. Uncle Monty, their new guardian, is their best guardian out of the ones provided in the seven books (#8 didn't have a guardian, maybe Hal, but...). Uncle Monty is full of life and loves bonding with his adopted children. Unfortunately, something (as always), happens to Uncle Monty. This book is something so incredible because it contains originality and class. I would definitely rate it 5 stars all the way.

Summary: Witty, spectacular, and just the right amount of irony
Review: The Reptile Room doesn't remind you of anything. It is basically created in a world of its own. Something like this book is unique and really is worthwhile to grab a hold of. The mere fact that the author urges you not to read the miserable book will naturally trigger your curiousity and will make you read more. Not that that is a bad thing, though. The book is layed out so well that even though, while reading it you would know that there is an upcoming sequel, you are perfectly content with the one you're reading it. Of course, you are absolutely craving for a sequel once you have finished The Reptile Room. Lemony Snicket (Daniel Handler) has done an excellent job, and I commend him whole-heartdly for it.

Summary: The Poor Baudelaire Orphans.....
Review: This is the second installment of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" series. In this book, the Baudelaire Orphans are told they would be living with their Uncle, Dr. Montgomery. Not knowing what to expect, they feared the worse. They could only expect that because that's what their life holds. Misery and "unfortunate events", one after another. They are suprised to find out that they love it there. Each of the orphans have plenty of things to do that can expand their minds, and add enjoyment to their lives. This however will change. This happens when Dr. Montgomery's new assistant "Stephano" arrives. What is it that Stephano wants? How can he make the orphans life miserable? My suggestion that you read this book and find out.

I like Snicket's writing style. He keeps the reader glued to the page with interesting characters and interesting plots. I also like how Snicket explained what certian words are and how he intrupts the story for personal narration to the reader and let's them now what's coming.
