Do you like twists in your book? If you do pick up this book and read it! It all starts when Sunny, Klaus &Violet Baudelare met their Uncle Monty. They love him at first but then Uncle Monty tells them his assaint cannot come on a trip to Peru. so his replacement Stepheno comes but the second they meet him they know it is Count Olaf their arch enemy. He is a greedy man. you see the Baudlaires parents died in a tragic fire. And were left with an enormous fourtane. That's what he's after. And Unncle Monty has a reptile Reptile R0oom. It has all sorts of Reptiles from Snakes to Amphibans and it has a libaray and the Bauldalairs go down every day. But one morning they go down and find Uncle Montey dead. They call Mr.Poe their care taker and call a doctor.They think he got bitten by a snake. But they read a book and the body doesn't mach the body.So they know that Stepheno murdered him.but Mr.Poe found that out too,but it was to late Stepeno was gone.

Summary: The Reptile Room
Review: The Reptile Room is about three siblings, Voilet 14, Kluas 11, and Sunny 2. After being treated terribly at Count Olaf's house they were put with their Uncle Monty. He is a scientist that studies and discovers new reptiles. Latley he has dicovered the Great Deadly Viper which is really a harmless snake. While the children are getting ready to go on Uncle Monty's next expedition, Uncle Monty has to hire a new assitant. His old one just vanished. The Buadlaire children knew that he couldn't fool them. Uncle Monty didn't believe them and something terrible happens to him just before he leaves for the expedition. Im very sorry but I can not tell you more. Read this exciting book and you'll find out!!!

Summary: The series flows on tragically and smoothly
Review: The Reptile Room starts off with the three Baudelaire orphans having just escaped the evil Count Olaf and his gang of unscrupulous actors and on their way to another distant relative's home. Dr. Montgomery, the new guardian, turns out to be cheerful, intelligent, pleasant, kind, and adventurous. While still grieving for and missing their parents, the orphans think they might have found a new home where they can be happy again. And then, everything goes horribly wrong. Of course. "Lemony Snicket" has created an ongoing story so replete with tragedy that it becomes prime material for the theater of the absurd. With a rapid pace, plenty of horror, frequent suspense, and a local field that smells terrible, "The Reptile Room" picks up admirably where "The Bad Beginning" left off. Whereas the Harry Potter book shows us children dealing with a world of hidden magic, the Unfortunate Events series shows us children coping with tragedy, but to such an absurd degree that it becomes a running joke worthy of a hearty groan and a genuine chuckle.

Summary: Danger Lies in the Reptile Room
Review: The three Baudelaire children, 14 year old Violet, nearly 12 year old Klaus, and the infant Sunny, are being moved again to a new guardian. After their disastrous stay with the evil Count Olaf who made a swipe at the Baudelaire fortune and missed, the children aren't holding out too much hope for their new home with Dr. Montgomery Montgomery. But when the children discover that the Doctor, who would rather be known as Uncle Monty, is a friendly little man who has the most interesting, and probably only, library/reptile room, and plans to whisk them off on a trip to Peru to look for more reptiles, the children soon regain hope. But it's all too soon to do something like that, especially in such unfortunate lives. Count Olaf has pursued them to Uncle Monty's home, disguised as the doctor's assistant. Watch out for the swinging blade, the falling reading lamp, the deadly snake venom, and a thrilling car ride. Lemony Snicket does it again, as he chronicles the unfortunate adventures of the Baudelaire children (And occasionally of his own). Not only is there suspense, wit, and humor, but more lessons in grammar and definition. If you do choose to read this sad tale, don't forget to purchase books three and four, for these unfortunate events are unfortunately short. Try to drive better than Count Olaf on your way to the bookstore.

Summary: Fantastic Imagery!
Review: I must admit that this 2nd book is very good, but not as good as the first one. These children are very wity, very strong, and very stubborn. These traits alone, I think, contribute to their survival. They have endured much more than any one person should endure in five lifetimes. Above all, I must say that each unfortunate event is quite original, and that alone will keep my interest in these books. Just reading what they go through and how they get through it has my curiousity going crazy for the next book in this series. Lemony Snicket is a very talented writer. I do love the imagery. I could see Stephano swinging that knife. I could see that large "Deadly Viper" showing Sunny its love in its own special way. I could envision the beautiful glass room that held all the reptiles. A wonderful treasure to read. I am becoming a fan of the series, and I will continue to read them. The Reptile Room has me quite curious as to where the children will go next. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Enjoy, as always.

Summary: The slimy villain returns
Review: Much more descriptive and slow-paced then the first one is one of the things the makes The reptile Room a good book. Picking up where The bad Beggining left off the buadelaires are sentto there wonderful Uncle Montys house. They begin to think there luck has changed. WRONG! Count Olaf shows up as Montys lab assistant and has a new plot to steal there fortune. The slimy tale in A Series Of Unfortunate Events is filled with grief, death and friends departing.

Summary: The Return of Evil
Review: A Review by Oleg This book is about three children that are orphans and are forced to live with their uncle name Dr. Montgomery. But first a note from the previous book, the reason they are now going to Dr. Montgomery house is because their caring and loving parents died in a house fire. So they had to live with their cruel and evil relative named Count Olaf which only wanted them for the children's fortune which their parents had. In the end of the 1st book Count Olaf said he would return to get the fortune. Going back to the story: they were in a car driving to their uncle's house because he was going to be their new guardian, they didn't know what he was like and they were all quit frightened that he was going to be mean. But the found out he was very nice. Once they got settled they uncle Montgomery showed them his favorite room, the Reptile Room. He gave them a few minutes to look at the animals until he showed them his prized possession; His highly poisons viper (although it wasn't poisons). As the kids look at it Montgomery let it out of its cage.
The huge snake uncoiled and hissed. The kids saw the two large fangs all the sudden the snake attacked Sunny (the smallest of the children). What I liked about this book was that it always keeps you thinking what is going to happen next. It also gives you a few pages to think what is going on then it goes back to that part of the story. What I don't like is how it's a little hard to follow along with the story at some point in time because it flashes back to the other parts in the previous book. It would be a lot better if the writer puts like the first and second book together because the first book is a little small. I would recommend this book to people who like suspense and mystery; it's an average book but has some good and bad qualities. It keeps you thinking a lot. I think this book is good for people above 13+ ages.

Review: The Reptile Room is the second book of the seris of unfortunate events. These books are about three orphans that their perents died in a house fire. They are millionares and a man Named Count Olaf tries to steel there money and ends up killing every gurdian they have. It becoms into a big desaster in this second book. Just when the 3 orphans thought they found there life Count Olaf strikes again.

Summary: A misnomer leads to mystery in the miserable death of Monty
Review: The Baudelaire midgets...oops orphans, Violet, Klaus and Sunny, Get to move in with their Uncle Monty. Here they get to use their skills with reading, inventing, and biting. We learn more about books and words. We also learn a little about haystack statistics. Mean while, back at the ranch, shortly after the appearance of Stephano (and we all know who he really is), Uncle Monty apparently gets nipped by the Mumba du Mal. It is obvious to all but the midgets that the Mumba du Mal opens his cage with the help of other snakes and after doing the deadly deed locked his self back up. Naturally the orphans must prove who count Olaf is, and get surprised by his assistant. This sets up the pattern for the next book in the series. Where once again access to a library may save their lives.

Review: The Very Deadly Viper and Dr. Montgomery join the Baudelaire mysteries in THE REPTILE ROOM.
Read the almost too funny story of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny as they move to their second gaurdian's house, trying to escape the villainous Count Olaf.
I like this book better than the first, and I am telling you that you have to read it!
