Summary: Perfectly thrilling!!
Review: It all began when the four children's parents died. Now their life has been taken over by horrible occurrences and people, including the evil but clever Count Olaf. The children are living with their uncle, Montgomery Montgomery. Count Olaf's evil plan is to disguise himself as Uncle Monty's assistant, "Stephano." But what will his next sinister move be? This book is not happy, but I guarentee you'll like it!! Read this complicated, thrilling story that will keep you on the edge of your seat! --MSJ(age 10)

Summary: Hilarious reading! Great for those who love Harry!
Review: This book and the others in its series have quickly become my favorite books(aside from Harry Potter of course!) Lemony Snicket is completely hilarious and the stories remain exciting, interesting, and a-just-plain-great-read! Snicket stays in the foot-steps of J.K. Rowling, Roald Dahl, J.R.R. Tolkien.

Summary: More Bad For The Baudelaire's
Review: Lemony Snicket's second tale of unfortunate woe picks up right where the first left off with Violet, Klaus, & Sunny narrowly escaping the clutches of the evil Count Olaf. The somewhat dim Dr Poe takes them to live with Dr Montgomery Montgomery; A man who's related tho their family by their "late father's cousin's wife's brother." Dr Montgomery specializes in herpetology, or the study of snakes. Readers of the first book will know that from this point only terrible things can happen and they do, including a death, and a surprise visitor.I found this book even more fun than the first now that the characters are familiar. I also love that he ends each book with a set-up for the next one. It makes you wish you had it immediately!

Summary: An extremely witty, funny book with all the misery there is.
Review: Violet, Klaus, and Sunny are the three unfortunate Baudelaire orphans who, most unfortunately, are very unfortunate. Wherever they seem to go, misfortune comes their way...and just when times are happy, things only become more miserable. After escaping the evil clutches of their plotting unlce, Count Olaf, who tried to steal all their inheritance, they have been sent to live with a kindly man named Montgomery. He is an interesting man who has the most fascinating thing the children have ever seen -- a Reptile Room. But when a very unexpected evil man returns, their misery is even worse then they can iamgine -- for something far worse is being planned. From an Incredibly Deadly Viper to a car accident to a horrible murder to even more unfortunate circumstances, The Reptile Room was a hysertical and well written second book in this charming, funny series -- A Series Of Unfortunate Events. The title says it all -- misery, bad luck, and other bad things only seem to come to the three Baudlaire orphans, who must dodge the likes of their evil uncle Count Olaf.

Summary: The unfortunate event in the Reptile Room
Review: I have read all the Lemony Snicket books that are published and planning on reading all of them, I think up to around 13-15. In this book, the Baudelaire orphans go to stay with a very nice man, Uncle Monty. He seems perfect and the kids love their new guardian (for a change) until an unfortunate event occurs, and I wished I hadn't read it. But the plot grows thicker, and I suggest you read it if you want the full juice of it all.

Summary: By Tim, 2nd grader
Review: I liked this book because of Violet's inventions and also because some good things happen to Sunny, Klaus, and Violet. I also thought that the page with all of the "evers" on it was funny and I also liked the part when Violet opens Stephano's suitcase with her lockpick.
