Most of the other books I had purchased to help my son with the transition into college were so boring (according to him). Thanks Mr. Combs for helping my kid with your fantastic book. Rating: Summary: Follow your Dreams Review: Patrick Combs can certainly be an inspiration to us all. While his book may not appeal to all those who read it, for those that do read it and are inspired to greatness, no amount of gratitude can be expressed.I think what is most encouraging and inspiring about this book is that he gives us the confidence to against the norm, and to major in what truely envokes passion in your life. From my experiences, there are a lot of people who encourage you to major in something "smart" and "practical" simply because they were too afraid to chase after their dreams. We shouldn't worry about failure, because the only time we fail is after we think we did. This is an important book that every college student should read. Patrick gives good tips, great inspiration and is easy to read (perfect for busy college students). So let this book be a stepping stone towards greatness.
Rating: Summary: Feel good book Review: Patrick Combs can change your personality from negative to positive just by reading this book. Not only does he constantly remind you to try, try again with positive quotes and stories of others but he also promotes the fact that you should never give up your dream. He outlines the steps on how to be successful by doing not just waiting for success to come to you. I thought the do's and don't's of job interviews was something that everyone needs to follow. I have given out a dozen books as graduation presents to friends because I read it and loved the energy, ideas and steps on how to be successful at whatever you love in life!
Rating: Summary: Excellently Done Review: Patrick Combs has written the ultimate book for any college student. Even if you are out of college you will find it beneficial. It's a must have book!

Rating: Summary: The Only College Textbook REQUIRED (in life) Review: Patrick Combs is a powerful speaker and after hearing him talk, I felt compelled to devour this book. Since I finished it, I have been recalling suggestions, tips, hints and stories to help me succeed in the college world. Do you know how powerful keeping a personal journal can be? How much does an internship matter on the path to getting a job in my desired field? Are you majoring in Business? WHY? This book will help you figure all this and make college seem exciting rather than intimidating.
Rating: Summary: It changed my life! Review: The only thing better than hearing this guy give a lecture at my school was reading his book! This book not only changed my career path but my entire mindset. While there is tons of incredibly useful information on making yourself valuable in the job market -- much of which was completely foreign to me and probably is to most college students -- I think the most important part of this book is the fact that it stresses the importance of choosing your career path based on what you enjoy doing, rather than what you think will make you money. Even though the logic is very simple it never even occured to me: if you dislike the field your in then you won't have the drive that will make you competitive in that field, hence, you will ... at it. If you ... at your job, you won't make much money. And if you DO make beaucoup bucks then you'll still have spent about 70% of your adult life, give or take a few weeks of vacation every year, doing something you don't even like. However, if you choose a career path based on what you enjoy doing, then you will already have a competitive edge and will have the drive to earn the top of the pay scale in that particular field. Even if you don't agree with this logic the book is still filled with very good information about getting an edge in the job market, much of which might be obvious to older people who have already been out in the world a few years, but is unknown to many college and high school kids, which includes just about every one of my friends. This is in no way an "inspirational" book filled with a bunch of Stewart Smalley ... This is just book that is exciting to read because it gives logical and intelligent information that lets you know that you don't necessarily have to wear a suit and tie every day and work at a job you hate just to in order to have a comfortable and happy life. This is one of the few books that I seriously had fun reading.
Rating: Summary: This book is so informative! Review: This book allows college students to understand what their real priorities in life should be. I would recommend it to anyone in high school or college. It only took me three days to read it; I couldn't put it down!
