Summary: boot camp
Review: I highly recommend "Boot Camp for your Brain: A No-Nonsense Guide to the SAT I". I used this book in combination with a course and saw a tremendous increase in scores. I was never a terrific test-taker, so when my first and only high school SAT I score came back so high, I knew it must have been because of this book.

I went from a 48 Verbal, 68 Math on my 2000 PSAT, to a 620 Verbal and a 780 Math on my Dec. 2001 SAT ! That's a 240 point increase. Boy, was my Mom impressed.

The exercises and information in the book were laid out in such a way that I could easily understand the material and keep "on task". It was very logical and easy to comprehend. I have recommended this book to many of my friends. One of them refuses to give it back!!

On a 5-star scale, I would definitely give this book a 5. I really think that if you use this book correctly, your scores will increase as mine did. Good luck!

Summary: Boot Camp for Your Brain raised my scores 190 points!
Review: This book was a vital key to the scores I received on my SATs. The book covers basically everything you'll see on the test, and the information is organized and presented in a way that is very understandable and quick to go through. The book leaves out a lot useless information and focuses on the exact skills and techniques you will need to score high. The books title is truly fitting because it is literally a boot camp for your brain. I learned more math in reading the chapter on 7 great math facts, then any single year of high school math. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is considering college, because this book will help you achieve the scores you will need to get into the University of your Choice.

Summary: Colleges are Determined to Recruit my Daughter Now!!
Review: I feel that on a scale of 1 to 5 Stars that Boot Camp for the Brain deserves at least 8 Stars! While it may not rank among my daughter's favorite books from Crime and Punishment to Wuthering Heights, it certainly is THE book that has enhanced her chances of acceptance to and scholarship offers from America's best universities and colleges! She studied this book constantly, drilling herself on the 100 words and Math facts whenever she had a free moment. This together with taking Marcy Manning's World Best SAT Prep Course raised her SAT I scores by 260 points!!! Boot Camp's methodology works!! (Parents, let Boot Camp and the World's Best Prep Course do the nagging for you! They are more effective and ease the strain of parent/teenager relationships!)

Summary: The Title Sums Up the Book
Review: This book helped my verbal score by 100 points. It not only helped me build my vocab but it allowed me to relax. During my sats I recognized more than 10 words that I learned from the book. Other than 20 real SATS this book is a necessity if you need to improve your verbal as I did.

Summary: Best SAT Prep EVER!
Review: I started reading this book only about a month before the SATs, but it was sooo great!! I found the format to be so easy to use ... It read like a novel yet I was learning tricks and new words. The word list in the back is full of words that I saw on my real SAT and if I hadn't learned them from this book, I would have been lost. The math practice problems were great even better because they helped reiterate important math concepts that I needed for the test. I met my goal, 1450, thanks to Boot Camp. My score went up 140 points!! My math score went from a 700 to a perfect 800!! My verbal score went from a 610 to a 650! Because of this book, I am no longer worried about getting into college.

Summary: Need a score booster? Than buy this book!
Review: If you are willing to put in the time to better your score and chances of getting into college than buy this book. I have learned so many new words from the voacabutoons and the word lists that I even fell smarter know. And I know that if you buy this book you too will be satisfied with your score in math, and vocabulary. For you kids, if you want something nice and shiny from your parents *cough*cough*a car* tell them that if you get a 1500 on your SATs that you should be granted your wish. So with that I leave you and good luck!

Summary: I went up 160 points.
Review: Through the use of the M. Denmark Manning's Book Camp for Your Brain book I went up 160 points from a 1220 to a 1380. It is a fantastic book and is very dense. For the amount of material needed to cover to master the SAT this book is short! If you memorize everything from cover to cover you WILL get a 1600! I recommend it to everyone!
