Summary: A waste of my money.
Review: Ok, this book sucked!!!! It doesn't cover the issue of cutting, it was just a story of a lonly girl in a psychiatric ward. It's on of those books that you think is good if it has a good first chapter and it drags on to a unrealistic ending. You would be better off sleeping during the time you are going to read the book and say you read it and get away with it. It's that freakin' boring!!!! I wasted freakin' $5 for nothing. If you disagree with me and say I don't know anything about lit., I'm considerd a genius in that topic (Just ask Northwestern!)

Well, I gotta go. Korn music videos are callin' me!

Summary: good, but not what i expected
Review: this book was a very good and intense read...but it wasnt really what i expected. the girl in the story indeed cuts herself as the title may suggest, but there isnt really much in the book about cutting. if youre looking for a book talking more about cutting, i wouldnt suggest this. but it is a good read nonetheless.

Summary: reasons dont matter, if you cut, you cut
Review: From the reviews that i have read that were given to this book, it seems to me that there are many people who disliked this book. My opinion is completely opposite. i loved this book. its true, cutting is a serious "illness", if you will, that many people go through. And it is true that Callie, the main character, didnt have a huge problem in her life causing her to cut. the fact was that she did cut. As with many people, it doesnt matter what the reason for cutting is, but they cut. so to say that callie was cutting for stupid reasons isnt right. i really enjoyed this book, and would reccomend it. ( yes, this book isnt completely realistic, but neither are lots of books)

Summary: Good writing about a difficult subject
Review: I thought this book was amazing. I picked it up during school not really expecting anything special. Once I started reading, though, I couldn't put it down. I was up until 1:30 in the morning finishing it. I have friends who are cutters and the book really gave me some insight and helped me understand why they cut. I think everyone should definitely read this book.
Would also recommend the following: Bright Red Scream, Children's Corner by McCrae, and Bodily Harm.

Summary: On My Top Ten List is Cut
Review: This book was one of the best books I have ver read. McCormick really takes you inside the heart of the problem that is seelf mutilation. She wrote so well that it seemed as if I was feeling the pain and not just the people in the book. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!

Summary: wish there was another book by this author
Review: 'Cut'leads readers into life of teenagers' who has mental disorders. It's been quite a while since i've read this book, but I still haven't forgotten the main character of this book; Callie. i liked the way the author used Callie as the narrator, and how original she is. it makes the book humorous and realistic. But Callie is not alone; she is amongst others who have different disorders. Since I know other people who have similar problems, i thought this book really spoke to the readers. Maybe this book was too short... The solution to Callie's problem did seem a bit abrupt, but then again, I couldn't have written the book nearly as good. I recommend this book to anyone above the age of 12. Reason: language, content. Content: maybe too intense/difficult for kids under 12. Might also be hard to understand the condition the characters are in, and feel the way they are trying to fight the condition.

Summary: Absolutely dissapointing.
Review: Cut, is absolutely unrealistic. No one just stops a problem that quickly. It takes so much time and effort. I did like the perspective of the book when it was at the therepist visits. This is a great book for those who like to believe mainstream, stereotypical lies.

In the opinion of a twelve year old. (:

Summary: this book was hip notic & funky fresh =]
Review: Yes, I am a cutter, and when I read this book I understood how Callie felt, And it also made me think about my own life. It was an overall great book, i liked it alot. Ibought it, too, because I kept reading it. I definitly recomend it, wheather you cut or not.

Summary: WARNING-SPOILER ALERT!!! C'mon people!
Review: We're not supposed to know why she cuts herself. It's told in the firts person. We are Callie. This is why we visit the counseler-to find out why we are cutting ourselves! SPOILER ALERT!!! That is why she goes back to 'Sick Minds'. I like this book because it does cover different issues. Maybe there is a part II in the works. I think the title is misleading. The emotional parts of the book to me was when she -SPOILER ALERT!!! speaks. Maybe call the book "Cut Mute":)

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Helps you understand what cutting really is
Review: 15-year-old Callie is a cutter. Anything that's sharp enough to break the skin and tear her away from the clinic she's been sent to is her idea of paradise. She keeps herself isolated from the others and doesn't speak to anyone. She keeps her opinions and answers locked inside where they can't be heard. But when a new girl shows up with the same problem, Callie learns it's better to talk.

It's was a great book, especially if you know someone who is going through the same thing.
