Summary: Wicked Cool Book
Review: I finished this book the first day. I was planning on reading it at a lesiurely pace but couldn't put it down. Loved Sabriel and Lirael but this one tops them all. I hope there's going to be some more books cause to me there seemed to be lose ends that still need to be tied up like what's going to happen, to Nicholas and Lirael. Glad we finally got to learn Touchstone's real name, and Mogget and Disreputable Dogs identities. If you read this Mr. Nix please make another book or more. :-)

Summary: Fabulous
Review: This last installment of the Old Kingdom trilogy was certainly worth the wait. I discovered the first book, Sabriel, only a few months ago and just ate that and Lirael up! They were so good and well though out! Not only was the 'magic system' of neocromancer bells, charter spells, and free magic curses understandable and interesting it enhances the already wonderful characters, Lirael, Sabriel, Touchstone, Sam, Mogget, and who can forget? the Disreputable Dog (my personal favorite). This book starts almost exactly where the last book, Lirael, ended. Sam and Lirael have just entered the official Abhorsen house and they have just realized that Lirael is the Abhorsen-in-Waiting, not Sam. However there is a problem from the beginning, Chlorr the Mask has surrounded the house with hundreds of Dead! What will happen? Will they escape? You have to read this fabulous book to find out!

Summary: Nix has done it again!
Review: WOW!! I have been waiting for this book for approximately a year and a half, and it has undoubtedly paid off. Lirael and Sam's adventure against Hedge and the Lightning Trap continues, together with the Dog and Mogget, but life and Death throw you surprising twists, and what something seems to be may be only a glamour. When I give this book 5 stars, that is only because I cannot give it 10,000. I loved this book, and so will you. Enjoy!

Review: Cross a magical wall and enter the realm of the Old Kingdom, the home of Charter and Free Magic, where the dead walk, kept bound only by the powerful Aborsen. But the Abhorsen Sabriel has been lured across the wall to the unmagical kingdom of Ancelsterie with her husband, the King, leaving the Old Kingdom virtually unprotected from the Dead, evil necromancers, and Orannis, (an evil spirit of great power). However, all is not lost, for four unlikely heroes join against this evil. Lirael,(a Remembrancer, a Daughter of the Clair and Abhorsen-in-Waiting) Sam, (a Prince and an inheritor of the Wall-Makers' power) the Disreputable Dog (Lirael's companion) and Mogget (a unwilling servant of the Aborsen trapped as a white cat) must somehow defeat Orranis in time to save not only the Old Kingdom, but the whole world."Abhorsen" answers many questions from "Sabriel" and "Lirael", (such as the true identities of Mogget and Dog) though it still leaves a sense of mystery. I hope Garth Nix continues this series. If he does, I'll be the first in line for the next book! P.S. If Mr. Nix is reading this, I have a few questions that I'd like answered.
What happens to Chloor, and what are the secrets of her past? (Nix hinted that she used to be Abhorsen.)
How did Lirael's mother die? I have a lot more questions, but only 1,000 words are allowed. Mr. Nix, pleeeaaassse write another book about Lirael and the Old Kingdom!!!

Review: Simply superb! The conclusion of Garth Nix's phenomenal Old Kingdom Triology is what good fantasy is supposed to be. Well written, intelligent and witty with excellant protagonists and a villen worthy of them. The novel ties up the loose ends of Lireal (mostly, that is, I'd still like to know exactly what happened to her mother, and Chlorr's identity when she was alive). Also epilouge is deliberately vauge and open-ended, prehaps Mr. Nix is setting the stage for another novel? Of course, that could just be wishful thinking on my part...

Summary: WOW!
Review: I got this book not expecting much, because though I loved Sabriel, Lireal wasn't as good. Boy was I surprised!!! From the first pages it grabbed me and pulled me along the amazing plot. I found myself falling further in love with my favorite characters and growing fond of even those that I had not liked as much in Lireal. The action was intense and I was reading as fast as I could. At the end, I shocked myself by crying- something I usually never do in books. An amzing story that is greater and more magnificent than both of it's predecessors. A great end to a fantastic series- though I would LOVE to read more about the Old Kingdom. ABHORSEN is one of the best books I have read- right up there with Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter! I reccomend this book to everyone- though they should read it's prequels, SABRIEL and LIREAL before reading it. Cheers Garth Nix!

Summary: Amazing read
Review: I just got this book today and I have finished reading it already. There is non-stop action from start to finish so although it is much shorter then Lirael it there are no slow spots. It ties up all of the story lines from the last two books,and hints at new ones. Although this is suppost to be the last in the triogy I hope there will be many more

Summary: A Worthy Followup...
Review: Abhorsen was brilliant, and there were no slow spots. Nix explains everything in this sequal, and I do mean everything. There are no loose ends to tie up, except for the fact that you want to know WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!?
Word to the wise: Make sure you read Sabriel and Lireal before you read Abhorsen, as you will find yourself very confused.
It was definitly worth the wait, and I only wish it could have been longer...

Summary: Culmination Of Genius
Review: Of course this book is, for lack of a better word, amazing. The final book of the (some call it a trilogy but I beg to differ)series by Garth Nix chronically the valiant deeds of Abhorsens against the dead in the Old Kingdom. A wonderful finish to a blazingly creative three book series. Sabriel is still my favourite but both Lirael and now Abhorsen rank high on my scale. Obviously not meant to be read before the afore mentioned titles, Abhorsen was definitely worth the wait.

Summary: A wonderful end to a wonderful series!
Review: Abhorsen by Garth Nix is the third book in a trilogy, starting with Sabriel and then Lirael and finally ending with Abhorsen. If you have not read these books, it would probably be very confusing for you, so I suggest you start at the beggining. I have anxiously awaited 'Abhorsen' for almost a year now. I wasn't disappointed! Lirael, Sam, the Disreputable Dog, Mogget, and other favorite characters come back in this tale of the climatic final battle against whatever it is they are digging up in Red Lake. The story is extremely suspensfull, leaving you on the edge of your seat and unable to put the book down. I found myself missing my book even for the day that I was too busy to read it! Filled with life, death, magic, spectacular characters and a wonderful writing style, Garth Nix has successfully put out another winner. The ending is a little vague (not much of an epilouge), but I think it is more fun that way, letting the reader use their imagination to decide what happens to the characters. If there was ever a series that I wish I could get everyone I knew to read, it would be this series. 6 stars, most definately. Don't pass this up.
