Review: Among the Hidden was a very good book. I like that he wants to be more like his family. Instead of hiding he wants to exploer to see if there is any more shadow children. He tries to be very sneaky, to see if there is any more shadow children. I like that his family tries to be very carful of what they do with him. This book is good because it gives alot of details. It gives you all you need to know. I would recommened this book to anyone. Who likes fiction books. I really liked this book the day I read this story. This is the best book I ever read.

My favorite part of this book was when luke meats Jen. My favorite characters where Jen and luke.
This book was about a 12 year old boy named Luke. He was the third child and parents aren't allowed to have three children. One day Luke sees a girl in a window next door and two other children alreadylive there.
I would recamind this book to any one that likes to read exciting books.

Summary: Amoung the Hidden
Review: Amoung the Hidden was a great book! But it wasn't the best. The reason i gave it a 4 star is because it was exciting and mysterious! It was like you'd read so far and you would want to keep going to see what happens next! The most exciting part was when he went over to the Sports house because he thought he saw another child in there house that was a girl, but the thing was they didn't have a girl. They only have two young boys.If i was a seventh grader this book would be probably be a better book because the i would know what some of theselong and strange words mean! But this book is really good so i would recommend this book to another child my age! But what i think that they give a little to many details on one subject! But that still doesn't change how i feel about this book! From the first two days i started to read this it was already starting to put together a great story for me! I'm glad i chose this book! If i would'nt of been put with this book i would of never got the experience of this wonderful book!

Summary: Among the Hidden
Review: This book was an interesting scenario from the first page, because the whole concept and fear aspect of the population police was stressed so much to Luke. It created a kind of enemy or villian that every good book needs. It began slow but got better almost at once after the 7th or 8th chapter. After Luke met Jen, it sped up and was quite a bit more exciting, since the danger of being caught was much greater. I liked it from then on till the ending which was kind of depressing, but overall, I think I'd recommend this book to fellow readers. I think I would go for the sequels, and I plan on reading them in the near future. This book really leaves you hanging at the end with a feeling like "this is just the start of something big." I give this book 4 stars because there were some slow parts, but overall it was pretty good.

Summary: This was AMAZING!
Review: This book is about four kids who go to population police jail. Then they plan to escape and go out in the forest. Their names are Nina, Percy,Matthias, and Alia. It's exciting to me because I have to figure out what's going to happen.
Margaret Peterson Haddix is a really great author, but you have to read the books in order to understand what's happening. I think it's a good book because once you read the 1st one, then you can't stop reading the other ones. It keeps you going on and on.

Summary: Among the Hidden
Review: Among the Hidden, is about a young boy named Luke, he has never had a friend in his life. This is because he's a shadow child other known as a third child. In Among the Hidden, people were not allowed to have a third child. Luke's parents did. Now Luke has to lunger around dark areas with no open sunshine. If he is spotted people may call the Population Police. Then they could take him away and execute him. The Population Police got started because the people were afraid there wouldn't be enough food for everyone. So they limited the amount of people and the Population Police are there to inforce it.

Among the Hidden, is an outstanding book. It made me feel as if I was there or I knew what they were going through, because it was happening to me. The book gave me a great picture of everything going on.

Among the Hidden, is written in third person and in past tense. I think it fits the book very well the way it says, "Luke held his breath." Sounds good but if it said, "I held my breath." I think third person catches my attention better. I strongly recomend that you read Among the Hidden.

Summary: Parents, get this one for the kids AND yourself!
Review: As an art teacher, I consider myself lucky that I noticed one of my students walk into my class with this book in her hands. After reading the dustjacket, I went straight to the library and took it out, plus the other two books in this series so far. In the vein as such classics as "The Handmaidens Tale", "1984", and "Farenheight 451", "Among the Hidden" introduces the reader to a future gone wrong, where big government with all the "right ideas" became horribly twisted. Not only is it a straight-out enjoyable, edge of your seat read, but it's a perfect introduction for your middle-schooler to the symbolism and alternative thinking that will be introduced in their later school years. Kudos to the author for her talent!

Summary: Among the Hidden
Review: Among the Hidden was a awesome book! This book is about a young boy named Luke who is a shadow child. The shadow children are third children that are forbidden by law. Each family is allowed to have no more than two children, because the government is concerned about running out of food for the population. If the Population Police find out about a third child, the punishment is death. Luke is curious to know if there are other children like him out there, until one day he sees a third child peer out of a window of the neighbor's house. Her name is Jen and she is a lively girl who is willing to risk everything for the chance to live her life out of hiding. She dreams high and believes that one day her voice will be heard. Among the Hidden is about children who aren't supposed to exist, but how they still manage to have the heart, courage, and determination to risk everything just to live a life. This is my favorite book next to Running Out of Time. It is original and suspensfull.
