Rating: Summary: Among the Hidden Review: Among the Hidden is a woderful book. It had a lot of places where I would get sucked into it. I also sometimes felt like was happening to Luke was happening to me. I read this book in my gifted class and now reading Among the Impostors which is the next book in this series. Its great also. Anyway, Among the Hidden the type of book you won't put down. This is the type of book when I feel like every thing is happening to me and that I really enjoy. I rarely find a book that I like so much. I hope this review helps you.
Rating: Summary: Among the Hidden- Review Review: I have just read the book "Among the Hidden" by Margaret Peterson Haddix. I really enjoyed this book, for many reasons. 1. It was a creative idea, and it was interesting to read about how the goverment made third children "illegal". 2. It was very descriptive, and gave you a good image in your mind about what was happening, which I liked. 3. It made you want to read more, which is why I finished the book very fast, and started right away on the sequel. 4. It made you feel very connected to the characters, so whenever something happened to them, it made you emotional about it, and made me care. The only thing I did not like about this book, was SOMETIMES it got a little boring, but most of the time it was great! And I definantly am going to read the whole series.
Rating: Summary: Among the Hidden Review: What books are on your list of favorites? Well if Among the Hidden by Margaret Haddix isn't you should start reading now. The book is based around a futuristic plot in which overpopulation is occuring. What kind of solution will the government try in fighting with an overpopulated society. A boy named Luke is in fear of being discovered. Discovered by who you ask, by the population police. Luke is a shadow child, a third child who were supposed to be killed at birth. He was safely gaurded by the forest he once used to play in but not any more. All of Luke's protection came down when the government started to build houses. Luke has to hide in fear of the populaion police but one day he carelessly ran ot of the house in search of other shadow childs. Never would he think that he would be walking right into Jen's house. Jen is another shadow child who doesn't think she has to hide. This book is so suspenseful that I couldn't put it down even when i was about to fall asleep. I highly reccomend this book to any one who wants a good book to read.

Rating: Summary: A book not to be hid. Review: Set in a time where people can only have up to two children. It shows a possible future that third and fourth children have to hide or be killed. Luke is one of these children but is allowed out for a time since they had lived in the woods. But soon that is changed. The government has cleared away the trees and made the surrounding land into a place of many houses. Luke is now confined to the house, away from the windows. He longs to go out and soon he finds a way to see outside without any risk. He soon notices a place where there might be another third child. That other third child pulls him into a risky plan against the government. The book is a good adventure story that keeps part of the feeling of real life.

Rating: Summary: Can you hide? Review: This book is a good book, that's what I'll say. It's about a boy name Luke he has to hide everyday. Why? because he was the third child. Whenever you have a third child. They have to hide that way no one can see you unless it's your family. You can not go outside for any reason.Or answer the phone. Nor answering the door. If you have been seen you would be taken away from your family. Mabey forever. One day Luke looked out his window, he saw a girl's face at his next door neighbor, and he knows that his next door neighbor already has two boys. That means she was like him, a shadow children. One day he wanted to know the girl. So he went outside without anyone noticing him going out. His family was already out for the day. He meets her. Her name was Jen. She was going to risk her life with others to escape the shadow life. And be free forever. But that it never happened. They died, all of them, including Jen, Luke's only best friend. And now he was going to be a different person. He is now Lee Grant.
