The style of writing was not exactly my favorite. Once I got used to it, I started to enjoy the book. I don't usually read a lot of books, so this was a good start to the summer reading stuff I have to do. I thoroughly enjoyed the plotline and I felt that I actually knew the characters, which makes a book even more enjoyable. I also started feeling sorry for some of them, which kind of made it fun. I would definately reccommend this book to any person who would enjoy an easy, fun summer book about what seems like people who might go to your school.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: suprisingly wonderful Review: When i first heard about this book i was a little skeptic. It looked like a book for stuck up rich girls who only care about clothes. I was wrong and you should never judge a book by its cover i know. It turned out to be hillarious! This story is about a group of friends living in the high upper class of New York City and what they do. If you give it a try like I did you may find yourself intrigued and may even learn a thing or two from rich Serena Van Der Woodson or one of her so called friends. Enjoy it as I did and give it a try.

Even though it was a novel, I could not believe how immature and irresponsible some teenagers, or people for that matter can be. I hated the way the girls acted toward each other and how they treated their bodies. For that matter, I was stunned at how they misused alchohol and drugs and am not even considering picking up another one of Cecily Von Ziegesar's Gossip Girl novels. She was basically showing how if you take drugs and smoke and so forth, that you will be cool in your school, have lots of friends, money and be able to do whatever you want. That is so very wrong; I despised the views in this book and hope that people who read it will not act as the characters did.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Gossip Girl's got a little story... Review: Enter into a world of high fashion, high society, and high bank accounts. Gossip Girl is one of these people, however, throughout the story her identity is unknown. She tells about the lives of Blair, a snobby senior, who has adjusted to being the most popular girl in the absence of her friend, Serena, the irresistable blonde. Blair just about has it all, popularity, the perfect guy (minus her mother's misguided affections for a greasy, overweight man) until Serena comes back from being kicked out of boarding school. With Serena's arrival, things get out of control for the lives of several teens who call this fast paced uptown place home. This story was one I couldn't put down. The characters rich lives get you interested, but surprisingly enough, with all their money, they have the same types of problems as a typical teen, well, almost.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Fun! Review: When checking this book out, I was a little embarrassed at first. Being nineteen years old, I considered myself a little old to be browsing in the young adult section. But believe me, this book is a fun and quick read (I got through it in an afternoon). There's definitely no hard-thinking required to read this, except to keep all of the characters' high-society names straight. Even so, this book is more satisfying than a pint of ice cream-which you wouldn't want to eat anyway, because it would go straight to your hips.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Gossip Girl is great! Review: The book Gossip Girl is a great book. It is recommended for a younger audience such as teenage girls. This book is about a girl named Blair, who is very popular, extremely beautiful, and pretty much perfect in her world. Every girl wants to be her and every guy wants to date her. Except she's taken by a guy named Nate. As Blair describes him, he is made out to be a preppy kind of guy who is just so cute. He dresses great and drinks. Just what Blair loves. She has parties all the time, drinks, and smokes. Everyone she hangs around is immensely wealthy. They all think they are cool by drinking and doing drugs. The girls go to one school and the guys go to another. Both of which are very expensive schools and you are supposed to get a great education from them. Blair's old best friend, Serena, comes back home. No one knows why but so many rumors are spreading. She seemed to have gotten kicked out of boarding school. All of her friends are saying it was because she slept with to many guys. Gossip Girl is a book full of gossip, lies, and rumors. The characters have real kinds of problems that could show teenagers what to do in some of those situations. It was a great, quick read, which I highly recommend.
