Summary: A story like no other
Review: I first bought this book because I was attracted to the cover but when I began to read it, it was so interesting and fun that I couldn't stop. The story is mainly about a group of teenagers living in New York's upper east side and dealing with problems in the midst of it all. I loved Serena because she seemed so sweet and nice and hated Blair for treating her so shabbily. Of course I think we all agree that Chuck is a loser of the highest order and that things were just starting to get interesting when it ended. But that's the beauty of this book-it gets you hooked and keeps you hanging until the last page. Naturally, we all wonder who Gossip Girl is-but maybe one day we'll find out. Buy it!

Summary: Gossip Girl
Review: ... This book was
great. I love to gossip. That's what my friends and I do, and people do the same about us. I
really liked Blair and Jenny. I didn't read the first book, though. So I was a little lost in the
beginning. I do recommend reading the first book first. That always helps to understand what's
going on.

Summary: Awesome
Review: I love this book! I read it all of last night and I didn't want to put it down. The story of these rich, spoiled teens is really well written, and makes you want to keep reading. I'm not goingh to give you a summary because you can see that in other reviews, so I'm just going to say that this book is great. There is a bit of swearing and some sex talk, but its perfect for teen girls.

Summary: DRAMATIC ESCAPE
Review: When I first saw this book, I thought to myself "HOW interesting can gossip be?". The answer is, it depends on the gossip. This book is filled with gossip and enough drama to start a small fire. I read this during the frist week of a hectic school year, and it was just the book I needed. It provided such a sense of escape from the world and a realism of the world that 'Gossip Girl', and her friends lived in. It's a twisted suspensful story of upper-class teens dealing with normal pressures. There's the boarding school reject, the bulemic one, the perfect one, and Gossip Girl, the anonymos ringleader of it all. I sometimes wonder if the characters are really my best friends, or attendees of my school. If you need an escape, or, just a coolo book to read, this is the one.

Summary: Entertaining enough for me...
Review: I guess everyone's views on this book can be completely different. And even I have to say that I'm split on this book. Although the characters are painfully superficial and overly stereotypical, I suppose that that also provides for a good plot. After all, maybe it's so funny that the author has chosen to overexaggerate these characters so much, that you can't help but enjoy yourself while reading it. Sure this book might not be so realistic, but it's still entertaining to the regular, every day reader. I'd recommend it, but honestly, don't take anything you're reading in this novel too seriously. Because I don't think it's meant to be. The author is a fairly good writer, and you can't help but wonder what'll end up happening to the characters-even if most of them are the people you'd normally hate, anyway. I'll probably read the sequel when it comes out, it's a fun novel. Kinda like Cruel Intentions..but (obviously) a book, and not so dirty. Although it would have been great if the author had left out those parts in this book..it just made her seem desparate in a way for people to read it. Honestly, you don't need sex to sell books.

Anyway, a good, light read overall, but definitely for the 15 and older audience. Pick it up if you're interested.

Summary: WhOa!
Review: Wow...this was a great book! I really enjoyed it! It follows the lives of Serena, who just got kicked out of boarding school and is back in town, Brooke, Serena's old best friend and most popular girl in school, Nate, Brookes boyfriend who had sex with Serena before she left and before he was with Brooke, Jenny, who is skinny but has a large chest and is a fan of Serena's, etc.....it was cool how they intwined (dont think I spelled right!) all the characters....a must read for any teenager. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Absolutely fabulous.
Review: Gossip, sex, shopping. What DOESN'T this book have? It's a veritable Sex & The City through the lives of insanely rich high school girls and the marvelously witty Gossip Girl. You'll find stories that will keep your eyes glued to the pages (I, like others, have finished this book in ONE SITTING... it's impossible to stop once you've started!) and scandal that is bound to keep you "oohing" and "aahing" as if you actually know the characters in the book. I adored this book, but you can love it or leave it. Trust me, you'll love it.

Summary: A bit superficial, but it's still a pretty good book
Review: This book is superficial and not what a teenagers life is. Almost everybody does not care about popularity. This book is about selfish, snobby, non-sober, stereotypical upper class teenagers that like sex, clothes, and gossip. Yet I like this book alot. I read this book when I was in a pissy mood. People have been raised to be sincere, honest, and all that good things, but in this book people are selfish, ruthless, and snobby. The people are so fake in this book that it is really easy to make them. So this is maybe what I like in this book.

People who want to "deep" books or something realistic. Don't read this book. Read Sloppy Firsts, Love and other four letter words, and Speak.

When your in a bad mood, just read this book. It is so easy to make fun of the characters.

Summary: GOSSIP GIRL is a refreshing new story!
Review: When I read the reviews of recommended book GOSSIP GIRL, I had no idea what I'd be in for. I was expecting a juvenille tale about a group of rich girls who couldn't find anything in their dress size (0). This proves that even the most open-minded people can be surprised like never before!

GOSSIP GIRL pairs the ususal teenage stress inducers (friends, significant others, and an amazingly pretty friend arriving home from boarding school, which has happened to all of us, I'm sure!) with insight from a hilarious female known only as "Gossip Girl". GG's commentary is wicked and funny without belaboring the point.

Follow some of the country's best born-and-bred rich kids as they deal with the daily troubles of us "mere mortals".

ENJOY!
