Summary: Good enough
Review: I can't say this was my favorite book in the series, but its wrothy of at least 3 1/2 *stars. If you read this series in order starting with the first, you may not get the best impression of the rest of the series. The story's simple enough to follow to be able to start with any volume of this "woeful series". I read first the 5th and 6th, 7th and 8th, then the first four...At first I was skeptical about the series, after hearing that it wasn't as good as Harry Potter, but I have gotten more "into" this series than any other I have before.

Summary: The Bad Begining Part II.
Review: I think that this book has a good start. The only thing that is sad in the begining is that there are three little kids at the beach. They are having a lot of fun and I mean a lot of fun.Until they recieve very very bad news. The bad news was sent by their parents good friend Mr.Poe.He tells them that their parents has just died in the house because of a horriable fire.I think that this book is a book that I'm starting to like this book more than Harry Potter. The Bad Begining is one of those books that are very interesting.I find The Bad Begining a book that I would reccomed to others such like my mother. The reason I think my mother would like this book because she likes books that are very interesting such like this book is.The Bad Begining really starts off as a bad begining. The Bad Begining has a lot of things in it that I really don't enjoy.Like because they are orphans they are being treated very bad.

Summary: Lemony Snicket is not just for kids.
Review: As a 24 year old I'm not ashamed to say that I have read every Lemony Snicket book and I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series: The Carnivorous Carnival. While most "children's" books patronize their readers, "Series" uses high-brow humor and inside jokes that make the reader feel like they really understand Lemony Snicket. "The Bad Beginning" is the best place to start so what are you waiting for? If you still have any doubts check out this cool animation based on The Bad Beginning ...

Summary: The Bad Beginning
Review: The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket is miserable, sad, depressing, and of course unfortunate. It tells the sad story of Violt, Kause, and Sunny Baudelaire. However, for such a sad tale it is good!
The story opens on Briny Beach where the children were spending the day. They receive the terrible news about their parents perishing in a fire that burned down their mansion. As if that isn't enough, they have to go live with an evil man who tries to steal their fortune. Lemony Snicket is a marvelous writer. Anyone who enjoys Harry Potter books would like this book.

Summary: The Bad Begining
Review: The Bad Begining

The Bad Begining is a story about three children whose house burned down while they were at the beach. Unfortunately their parents were in the house. So from there a man named Mr. Poe has to find a family member to take responsibility of the orphans and so he takes them to their uncles house. Count Olaf! What a name and from there on it gets worse because he treats them with no respect.
I think the best character is Sunny the little baby because she likes to bite everything just like when I was baby I chewed on everything in site. I didn't like Count Olaf because he did the most hateful things to the children. The theme of the book is acting smart and something good may come out of it. I think the best thing about the book is when Count Olaf found out when the oldest Baudelaire Violet signed the marriage paper with the wrong hand so they couldn't get married and Count Olaf couldn't have the Baudelaire fortune. The worst part was when Count Olaf smacked Klaus the middle age orphan across the face. ...
I think the authors writing is great because he keeps the reader reading and he makes his books so interesting to where you don't want to put the book down. Lemony Snicket (author) gives the perfect amount of details in this book of the series. The vocabulary is just right, not too hard but not too easy. I like everything about the book. The Bad Begining is a great book. This book should be read from about seven and up, only because it's not bad for that age group and they may just think it is the best book because it tells about a child's life and how it turns out. I give this book five stars.

Summary: The Bad Beginnig
Review: The Bad Beginning

The novel, "The Bad Beginning", is a story by Lemony Snicket. It begins as a terrible start that leads three wealthy children in to the hand of unfortunate events. The children get adopted in to a terrible man named Count Oalf. He mistreats the children so bad that it could cost them their lives! They are in danger and in need of help until they find someone loving and caring lady. But is she really all that or is he another one of Count Olaf's friends ready to kill them for their huge fortune?

In this novel there are four main characters named Count Oalf, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. The children are very likeable and active. Violet Baudilar likes machinery and she wants to be an inventor when she grows up. Klaus Baudilar wants to read, read, read, all day long. Sunny (the baby) Baudilar wants to chew chew, chew, 247. Count Oalf the most dislikable character, is ugly mean and sloppy. Since the novel is very mysterious and mean the theme must be "You can t always get what you want." Lemony Sniket may have some words that a 4th grader may not understand but he has the definition beside it. I can't stand that because you can figure it out as you read that paragraph the word is in. I was very satisfied with the ending it left me in suspicion about what would happen to them next. Or were there lives would lead them. They never tell you what happens to Count Oalf.... Most people would not like the ending because it is not a, "Then they lived happily ever after." kind of ending....

Lemony Snicket keeps the reader so into the book you would not want to put it down. It tells every question you would want to know if you were confused. He tells very brief descriptions and helps keeps you on task (he will never let you get bored) the way the novel is written. You can fell how the other characters are felling because he gives you real life situations. I think that ages 8-14 would enjoy reading this book because it is not to babyish or to old to put the book down. It is interesting and enjoyable to read. I would prefer kids with imagination and adventurous minds and love to read. I guarantee that if you are all the above you would pick up this book enjoy it, love it, and buy it. He has so far 9 series out so go to your nearest bookstore and buy it before it is to late!!...

Summary: The Good Beginning K.S.
Review: The Bad Beginning is about a three wonderful kids. These kids have a very happy life until they are on the beach and this man named Mr. Poe came and informed the kids that there loyal parents had died. These Three kids were named Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. Violet was fourteen and enjoyed inventing things. Klaus was twelve and enjoyed to read. And Sunny was just a baby and had really sharp teeth, and loved to bite. When these three orphans were informed there house had been burned down with their parents inside, there life began to change. They went to live with this man named Count Olaf. This man was evil and the three kids had figured it out living with him for a couple of days. They soon realized they were in a trap. Was this trap dangerous? Was it for their lives?
I thought this book was fantastic. This is one of my favorite books along with the other Series Of Unfortunate Event books by Lemony Snicket. I thought that this book described the terrible life of the three Baudelaire orphans so well. I would recommend The Reptile Room, The Wide Window, The Miserable Mill, The Austere Academy, Ersatz Elevator, The Vile Village, and The Hostile Hospital. They are all a part of The Series Of Unfortunate Events written by Lemony Snicket. I thought there was nothing to make this book better than it already is. K.S.
