Summary: ok plot with a bad ending
Review: I got this book because it was advertised as being similary to the acclaimed Gossip Girl Series. The main character in this book, Anna, is a lot less shallow than the girls in Gossip Girl. Unfortunatley, the ending ruins most of the story. After some "page turneres" the end does not leave you hanging, but instead one feels like they have wasted there time. if this book does well, the author left room for a sequel and hopefully the sequel will change Anna's decision in the end of this book and Anna will regret what she said in this book. I'm keeping my finger's crossed for a sequel with a better ending because the rest of this book was interesting...

Summary: A so-so plot
Review: I bought this book because I was expecting it to be like those in the GOSSIP GIRL series (which I love). I was pretty disappointed with it. It's told from many characters' view points and sometimes this makes it a little difficult to follow. On the whole,I felt this book was simply "pretty good."

Summary: The A-List, a favorite with my friends and me
Review: Anna Cabot Percy, a rich, popular A-List junior with early acceptance into Yale has always played it safe in the busy streets of Manhattan. She learned from her mother and wished to be like her color-outside-the-lines best friend.
One day her father who left her family when she was a small girl invites her to live with him in Beverly Hills, California. She is wary to travel to Los Angeles, leaving her family and friends behind, but she does and she meets dreamy-Princeton student Ben Birnbaum on the plane to Los Angeles and is already swept off her feet. The second they land (after makingout furiously in the airplane's bathroom)Ben invites her to the wedding of one of Hollywood's most famous actors. There, Anna meets Sam (a Ben-magnet wannabe), Cammie (Ben's ex), and Dee (the quiet, and innocent Ben-magnet wannabe). All three girls would die to have Ben, but Anna takes the prize. After being publically embarrassed Anna would rather die herself than stay in L.A., but you'll have to read this suspenseful and creative novel to find out why. My friend has only read the first chapter and she tells EVERYONE this is her all-time favorite book! :)

Summary: Tricky Tricky
Review: I love light teen books all about love, well this book isn't flatly just isn't, it had be hooked in the beginning, all about Anna the girl who wanted to change herself, she did this by going to California, on her way she meets this perfect for her guy (cough cough perfect cough cough) well he turns out to make every wish of hers to come true, they are a match made in heaven, i'm not gonna gove away the ending but wow don't even read this, the author destroyed the happy ending, it was depressing, i couldn't believe it, the book was cut off a poorly written the only reason it got any stars was because the beginning kicked some major ace.

Summary: Bad imitation of Gossip Girl
Review: I went to go and buy the fourth Gossip Girl, but they were all out, so I thought The A-List would be just as good. What a waste!! This book was way worse than any of the Gossip Girls.. it was obvious that the author was attempting to imitate certain aspects of GG series. There are so many stupid little sub-plots going on, metaphors that just don't make sense, and references to seemingly important events that are never brought up again. Zoey Dean is obviously trying way too hard. There is no comparison here; the author of Gossip Girl knows how to make you love or loathe her characters, and her writing leaves you wanting more. The A-List just made me want my 10 bucks back.

Summary: It matches even up to GossipGirl!!!
Review: I just finished reading the A List (which only took 2 days) and i absolutely loved it. There was only one thing i didnt like and that was the ending as i wanted to know a bit more of what happened. I hope there is a sequel. My favourite characters were definetely Cyn and Anna and i also like adam and Parker. I urge you to read it as it is one funny and interesting book!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I really enjoyed this book, I bought it on Saterday evening and finished it on Sunday morning. I let my best friend borrow it this morning and she finished it a couple hours ago...It was a great book, however I thought the ending could have been a lot better. Also, before every clothing article and accessory she put a brand...and it was sort of annoying because it would have been just as, if not more effective if she had put "...checked her lip gloss" instead of..."Checked her Stila lip gloss". I would reccomend this book to any girl or guy who enjoys a story of extremely wealthy girls who are seniors in high school, who party, and do anything to get what they want. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Summary: Great quick read! NOT for young teens!
Review: I am 19 yrs. old, and felt a little embarrassed at first buying a teen novel, but it turned out to be better then i thought. Its pretty insightful, and not full of baloney, the authoer really gets into the head of these girls! However I would not recommend it for anyone younger then 17 yrs of age. IT has alot of vulgar language, drug abuse, and sex. Which only someone with the right level of maturity can understand. Good and fun Read!

Summary: Much Like Gossip Girl But Better In a Sense!
Review: When I first read the back of the book and started reading a little of the first page in the book store, I knew it would be much like Gossip Girl. I was right. But it was even better. The plot was better. Like Gossip Girl, with each chapter, the perspective changes to another person's perspective, and it shows that people that are "evil" are human beings too. But unlike Gossip Girl, this book is much more...deep. It made me tear up with all of Anna, the main character's, problems. A truly great novel to read despite the ending's disappointment. (The ending was okay it was just I expected a more complete conclusion)

Anna Percy is tired of the same boring perfect life that she's been living. She decides to move to LA where her ignorant father lives when her older sister Susan is back in rehab and her mother is in Venice, Italy. Within one day, Anna attends an Oscar winner's wedding, chills out at the after-hours party, and meets a guy that she just might love. All is well with the world until Dee, Cammie, and Sam come into the picture. Throughout the novel, Anna realizes how horrible her father truly is as a father, gets her heart broken, and in the end, feels truly free. Beverly Hills may be filled with people that are shallow and insincere, but Anna learns to live with it and she changes into the person that she wanted to become all along.
