Summary: It falls short.
Review: Some say The A-List is better than the Gossip Girl series... The A-List only has two books in the series so far, and compared to GG, I'd perfer GG over this any day. I'm not saying that TAL is a horrible book, but it falls short of an actual plot. I believe it's like a try-hard GG, which, really, isn't that of a good read then.

I think this book focuses a little too much on its main character, and even for the main character, there really isn't so much said about her. In GG, each of the main characters have their own story. In TAL, each of the main characters come off as too snotty or too cool to be there. The ending was the ultimate downfall of this book, though I know there's a sequel.

It really lacked plot and some things seemed too repetitive.

Summary: A-list for life!
Review: The A-list is a very uplifting book. It is one of the best books I have ever read. If you are in the mood for just a fun "fluff" book this is the one to read. The main character Anna is on a fun adventure in LA and her encounters with a Princeton student Ben are very entertaining. Be sure to read the second A-list "girls on film" out now. BEST BOOK EVER!!!

Summary: This book is definatley not on my a-list
Review: if you enjoy bookswith a pointless plot this book is good for you. When i saw an add for this book on the back of the latest ggirl i thought wow this book must be good. Around half of the book i just got so sick of it. This book seemed to go nowhere. The end of this book was truly boring, nothing to exciting happened in the boook, nothing was solved. So if u ask me, this book is definatley not on my a-list.

Summary: Gossip Girl wannabe
Review: I read this book while waiting for the fifth gossip girl to come out, and it was pretty disappointing. it was very clearly a sad attempt to meet gossip girl's perfect combination of drama, humor and the occisional mention of a designer label. the author clobbers you with the labels, i felt like screaming "just get to the point already!" for example, instead of just saying, 'she grabbed her louis vuitton purse and ran down the stairs' it says 'she grabbed her brown louis vuitton purse, pulled her armani coat over her juicy shirt, slipped on her birkenstocks and ran down the stairs' it really takes away from the story. it doesnt compare to gossip girl

Summary: Fame and Fortune
Review: I loved the book "The A-List" the beginning started off slowly, but I kept going with it and really enjoyed the book. It was different from any other book I've read. Anna decides to move out to Hollywood to spend some time with her father. On the plane ride to California, she meets a boy named Ben. They start off in a steamy relationship while on the plane, making out and getting jiggy with it.

When Anna arrives, she realizes she has the man everyone wants. A bunch of prissy teenagers loathe Anna when she comes with Ben to the "Event of the Year" Anna is a well behaved darling young lady, with a vast personality unlike the other girls.

The other girls are cruel and mean. They invite her to help out the needy to find gossip about her and Ben. They rip her dress open, embarrassing her to the max. A typical greedy teenage setting, yet this book says it well.

Anna does something in the end, that I was surprised. She stands up for what she thinks is best, throwing her heart on the floor. She talks to her dad, sorts things out, and tries to save their relationship. Anna is a remarkable character.

I really enjoyed this book, mainly because it was far fetched and so very fictional. Reading about Gucci purses and expensive DKNY shoes was very interesting. I had fun reading this book. Everyone should read it!

Summary: A really good book
Review: I think that this book was a great book. It was alittle corny with having all these girls fall for one guy, but it was great story about teenage life. Even though not everybody is rich and famous. It's a little exagerated because a girl just doesn't meet a guy on an airplane and get invited to a wedding with famous people. It shows how some girls can be nasty to other girls and how guys can stand a girl up too. I think overall it was good but not recommended for under 13 yrs of age.

Summary: One of the best books I've EVER read!
Review: The A-List is one of those books that(...)Once you start to read it, you just can't seem to stop. I would advise any girl to read it! The ending is such a twist, I can't wait until the next one comes out!

Summary: horrible
Review: This was one of the worst books I have ever read. There was no plot, no character development, and no point at all. Unlike the Gossip Girl books that are actually enjoyable to read, while reading this book I wanted to throw it out the window. It would talk about characters, then just forget them, definitly not worth your time.

Summary: So much better than GG
Review: This book was so great that i spent an afternoon tucked in a corner of borders reading it. :) Its so much better than GG and what i like most is that the author actually gives these girls personalities, issues and insecurities. THey're less shallow than you might think.

Summary: very good
Review: I thought this book was VERY GOOD. Gossip Girl has to be one of my favorite books. Although this wasn't as good as Gossip Girl it is still a great book. It is about a 17-year-old girl named Anna and she moves to L.A. because her sister is in Rehab and her mother is in Venice, Italy. So she has to move in with her father in L.A. who has totally changed since the last time she saw him. She has to leave her best frined Cyn(Cynthia) who is free spirited and very confident (gets all the guys) So Annd tries to be more like her. This book is about her trials and tribulations as she tries to be more 'cyn-like'. She falls in love with this guy ben and he invites her to a movie star wedding. they have a long night together and she thinks he is the one until something happens... (...)
