Summary: JOHN KNOWLES KNOWS!!!!
Review: John Knowles has an exemplary view on the two adolescents and their numerous conflicts. His weltanschauung on war and peace shows his vast intelligence and profoundness.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Sepearate Peace is superb! A thrill ride for the mind!
Review: I think A Separate Peace is Knowles's ''gold- mine''.He can never surpass this display of litterary skill. It portrays our good side and our evil side at the same time.Creating a dance of light and dark,a ballet of opposite forces pushing and pulling and reacting to eachother.Any one man or woman who has ever felt anger or love will be bound to this book from cover to cover.

Summary: TAUGHT MANY VALUABLE LIFE LESSONS
Review: We are two students sitting at a school computer lab reviewing the book mentioned above. We have very different feelings about the book. The reason I liked this book was because it actually showed a realistic portrayal of high school students in their high school environment. I think this literary masterpiece taught a host of valuable life lessons. The most important one they focused on was about not showing or having jealousy toward your friends. I do not argree with the with my fellow book readers I unlike them think this book was not boring but actually kept me pretty interested. I think it was alright. I did not like the way Knowles portrayed Gene and Finny.

Summary: JOHN KNOWLES IS THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: We read A Separate Peace as freshmen. John Knowles did a wonderful job in A Separate Peace of making characters come to life. Each one has his own personality that is easily distinguished from the others. The school atmosphere is definitely noticeable and enhances the story to make it more realistic.

Summary: ONE MORE BIBLIOPHILE?
Review: After enjoying this spectaclar novel in my freshman high school honors class, I have decided to become a bibliophile by trade. The symbolism found throughout this literary roller coaster was enthralling. The apathy others felt for this genuine work of art was totally unbased and putrid. I revere this materpiece as ranking with such classics as Watership Down, Catcher in the Rye, and Farenheit 451. John Knowles has stumbled upon a rare connection between reality and fictionality.

Summary: Sleeping in Louisiana
Review:

I think this novel was short and fairly easy to read. Although the characters were mainly undeveloped (flat), the book was interesting and kept me reading.

My companion, whose identity will remain unknown, gave this novel a 1 rating. He called it a "book for insomniacs" and hated it completely.

Overall, I think this book made me think of the troubles I'm going through in my high school years, just like Gene and Finny. My companion believes that one of the troubles Gene and Finny went through was reading books like this for Devon.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It will be on my "FAVORITE BOOK" list for years to come.
Review: This book is a short but very interesting book. It has all of the elements of a good story, and a little extra to make you want to read the book again and again. I liked this novel because Knowles wrote this book well. He captured the interest of many readers around the world. This book is one of the best books I've ever read.

Summary: A truley wonderful story of endless friendship
Review: As a senior in my American Literature course at Los Alamitos High School(California), we were required to choose a book written by an American author. My friend recommended that I read this book, and I did. The themes in this novel were spectacular, specifically relating to the endless friendship between Gene and Phineas. I recommend all charismatic fans to read this novel, for it is one of the most dramatic books a reader cannot put down before finishing.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Boredom in English class
Review: Recently I was required to read this novel in my sophomore english class. It was one of the books where your vision starts to blur and you suddenly fall asleep. It took me three weeks to read this short novel. The only part I understood and liked was when Gene shook the tree and Phineas fell out and broke both legs. As for the rest of the book read it when you have trouble sleeping.
