Rating: Summary: ? Review: Although receiving wonderful reviews, I read it and I hated it. I didn't even read the whole book! I've heard it has much beauty and greatness, but to me, it was the most tedious book I've ever read.
Rating: Summary: Where the Red Fern Grows by Elisa Hartwig, age 12 Review: This novel is about the life of a boy growing up in the Ozarks who is struck with dog-love. His perserverance brings him two red-blood hounds, Old Dan and Little Ann, and many adventures. I loved this book! Any of you who love tear-jerkers, this is your book. I cried all three times I read it. I give it four stars!
Rating: Summary: "A book like this comes along only once in a lifetime" Review: When I was a young elementary student growing up in Dallas, an author come to speak to us children. He told us about his life growing up in the Ozark mountains with his two dogs..."Old Dan" and "Little Ann." At the end of his time with us, he gave us all a copy of "Where the Red Fern Grows," and since that day I have not read a better book. Especially since the story is all true.

Rating: Summary: Perfect in every way!!!!! Review: Billy and his two dogs, Little Ann and Old Dan, loved to hunt togther. They wouldn't hunt with any one else but each other. They won tournaments and money together. one night something terriable happens.
Rating: Summary: Very descriptive book of everything for a young man. Review: I am an eleven year old sixth grade boy from So. California. When I began to read this book I expect very little. It was anassignment. I usually like to choose my reading material myself. As the book progressed, it became more descriptive and more exciting. My favorite chapter was the chapter in which he received his dogs and received a bottle of soda pop and a bag of candy from the marshall. I liked it because of the action of the fight and the emotions of the town folk. The ending made me feel so happy. Now I appreciate dogs and my two dogs much more.
Great book-- loved it! END
Rating: Summary: It was my favorite book as a young teenager. Review: It was a reading assignment in 7th grade and to that point, was the most interesting book of outdoor fun and adventure I had ever read. I,ve recommended it to family members and friends and everyone loved it. I think it is a must for young kids who love the fun and excitement of hunting, companionship and the outdoors.
Rating: Summary: Sad, but a very good book Review: This book reminds me of the book Shiloh (by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor). It is sad at the end. It is about a boy who would give anything for his dogs after saving his money for almost three years to buy them. I just read this book for the first time and I am 7 years old.
Rating: Summary: The Greatest book I ever read Review: I am 10 years old, I read this book I think it is the best!! How a young boy tried
and tried to get two coon dogs, and, after two years he got them. Billy and his dogs range the hills
of the Ozark mountans and became one of the best coon hunter/dogs in the mountains.
A got to read book with a compelling story about how a boy loves his dogs so much and his dog saves his life. A sad but great story about a boy and his dogs, a classic.
