Rating: Summary: It was the best book I ever read. Review: Where The Red Fern Grows is the best book I ever read. I give it 5 stars on a scale of 1 to 5. I cried at the end, though. It was so sad. When Billy got Old Dan and Little Ann from the town was one of my favorite parts. (21)
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've read, but it has sad parts. Review: It is very well written, but I did not like the deaths at all. It is full of action. My mother read it too, and she cried. I have not read very many books that are better written.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I ever read Review: Where the Red Fern Grows is a must read. This book keeps your attention until the very end. I had to read this book for a 6th grade reading assignment. I still read it about once a year. You will truly enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: I'm an 11 year old girl, and I don't usually like anything that has to do with hunting. But I love this book. I cried and cried at the end. I know boys who never cry over books who just bawled. (one loves dogs, but the other hates them, and he still liked it.) I think everyone should read this book.
Rating: Summary: A fantastic book that absolutely NO ONE should miss. Review: This book is amazingly powerful. I read it 3 years ago and still remember some of the fine details. If you do not read Where the Red Fern Grows, you are robbing yourself of one of the most fantastic stories in history.
Rating: Summary: A real pull on the heart story Review: I am 38 .I first read this book back in 1975,as part of a English class .I still read it just to bring back fond memorys
Rating: Summary: Not Recomended for young children Review: I really liked this book and I recomend it to anyone who enjoys well written books. It is a great story of a boy who has courage, strength, and a warm heart.
Rating: Summary: A story of a little boy's triumph along with his defeat. Review: This story has a fast begining. Wilson Rawls does a fantastic job of engaging the reader early on with an update on Bill (The main character). The book is well written, very well described and most of all packed with emotional scenes. It's not quite five stars because of the middle area in which little old 14 year old Bill and his dogs unrealistically tackle the impossible, and what was thought to be impossible tackles them. The book juices out every last drop of excitement to the very, last page. An emotional ending to the book left me and everyone I know who read it speechless. Great book, lots of excitement and a pile of ups as well as downs creatively written by Wilson Rawls.
Rating: Summary: All I can say about this book is wow. Review: "Where the Red Fern Grows" is an outstanding book.Anyone who reads this and doesn't get teary-eyed is not one for good literature. This is one of my favorite books. It's about a boy and his two hunting hounds. This book makes you feel like you're hunting with them. I would recommend this book to everyone.
Rating: Summary: I think this is an excellent book! Brice Review: This book shows both happiness and sadness. It shows how happy he is when he gets his dogs and how sad he is when his dogs die. I enjoyed this book because I was able to become involved with the characters. Too bad Sammy (the cat) wasn't involved in more parts of the book. I just loved that cat...what a personality he has. I think you should read this book because it is my favorite book. If I could give it more stars, I certainly would give it a lot.
