Rating: Summary: A heart-warming book Review: I had this book first read to me in the fifth grade over 12 years ago. I still remembering sitting on the edge of my seat to hear the next line being read and what was going to happen. I will never forget hearing an adventure told through the eyes of a young boy and how his tragedy produced a stronger, confident man. I now teach fifth grade and I am reading this book to my students. I want them to experience the same excitement that inticed me years ago.
Rating: Summary: This book is great, I highly reccommend it! Review: This book is about a boy who wants two hounds, and works greatly to get them. This is a very realistic book, and I think it is great for anyone, not just children.

Rating: Summary: My once-a-year book. Review: I first had this book read to me in the 4th grade and I absolutly loved it. Later I saw the book in a local book store and just couldn't resist buying it. I then read the book again and ever since I read it once a year. I think the reason I read this book so often is that it is a great story and I always have liked dogs. Just so you don't think that I will stop reading this book once a year I am now in the 9th grade and I still enjoy reading it. If you haven't read this book you have no idea what you are missing out on.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book!!!!!!!! Review: I thought this book was very exciting for children 9 and up!!! A little boy works hard to earn enough money to buy two dogs. When he gets the two dogs he teaches them to hunt and they are realy good at it. Old Dan, Little Ann, and Billy or so real. This is a book that when you start to read you can't put it down it is so good!!!! I would recomend this book to anyone who is looking for a very good book!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Less than 4 stars is preposterous !!!!!!! Review: Wilson Rawls captivated me with this book as a child and captivates me even now. I have read this book several times and have given many many copies to friends, their children, and their childrens children. The only regret I have about Mr. Rawls is that the only other work he published was "Summer of the Monkeys" which was also a great book. I can not imagine anyone thinking this book boring as did our friend from Asia, but that will have to be indexed with culture. I was raised on a farm and did hunt Raccoons as a young man. I did have my own dogs and often imagined myself running through the night with Dan and Little Ann. This is the best book I have ever read!
Rating: Summary: Simple Powerful Incredible Review: This book was given to me in the sixth grade. To this day, even thought I am in medical school, it brings a tear to my eye. Never have I read such a simple story that evoked emotions of such magnitude.
