Rating: Summary: Great for all ages Review: I teach fourth grade and have already read this book to both of my classes this year. I can honestly say that all of the children were touched by this amazingly beautiful story of friendship and love. It's a great book to use as comparison with the movie. It showed my students that there is more to good entertainment than sitting and watching the television all day. They realized that using the imagination and getting lost in a good book can be just as entertaining if not more so. I also used this book in a second grade classroom and children at that young age were just as deeply touched. I recommend this book to people of all ages, children and adults alike.
Rating: Summary: simply everything you could want in a book Review: This book is without a doubt the most phenominal book I have ever read. The first time I read it, I fell in love with it. I think I've read it twelve times. I'll never get tired of Old Dan and Little Ann. The story is so touching and adventurous and loving and heartbreaking all at the same time, you can't help but feeling like a wet towel when you are done. You get so involved. I recommend this book to anyone of all ages. If you don't, you will be missing out on one of the all time great books. Trust me, you will enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful but Tear Gerking Review: I probably lost half my water supply through tears while reading this book! I cried more in this book than any other book, I guess mostly because I loved Little Ann and Old Dan as if they were my own dogs. This book is exciting, envolving, and so great, I couldn't put it down. Wilson Rawls sure knows how to make me bawl, and wrote this book with heart. I strongly recomend it.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFULL Review: When I was in forth grade, my teacher began reading this book to my class, but never finished. After leaving elementry school I recieved this book as a gift. It was a blessing. I've read this book four times now, and every time I can't put it down. Where The Red Fern Grows is hands down the best book I've ever read.

Billy and his dogs(Little Ann and Old Dan) have many adventures together and the ending is a shame. The book never became borring and there was always new adventures in store. This book is great for anyone to read.
Rating: Summary: A masterpiece that makes you appreciate life to the fullest. Review: I read this book in highschool given to me by my 9th grade English teacher. I read that book from beginning to end over and over and over again. It was and still is the most amazing story that I have ever read and it's in the simplest language that even a 3 year old can read it! Everytime I read it, I feel like I'm right there with them hunting. Definite 5 stars!
